Demi Moore took a self-imposed hiatus from acting after deciding to raise her family instead – and is only returning because her kids became sick at the sight of her.
The Ghost actress gave up acting after her flop 1997 film GI Jane and, apart from a cameo in Charlie’s Angels, spent most of her free time raising children Rumer, Scout and Tallulah after she divorced from Die Hard tough guy Bruce Willis in 2000.
And Moore says she only appeared in new Emilio Estevez movie Bobby because her children pestered her to get out of the house and start acting again. She says, “I knew if I wasn’t with them they could have bigger problems than normal teens. I wasn’t retired from acting, I figured I’d do it again when I could. “Now work has become important again because my children were starting to ask if I was ever going to work again.”

Will Smith continued his run of #1 box office debuts with “The Pursuit of Happyness,” which took in $27 million, finishing ahead of the dragon tale “Eragon,” with $23.45 million and the live-action version of EB White’s children’s fable “Charlotte’s Web.” Besides “Happyness,” Smith previously won the weekend ticket take with “I, Robot,” the “Men in Black” films, and last year’s “Hitch.” Meanwhile, “Dreamgirls” opened strong in limited release, with $360,000, as did “The Good German,” the latest Steven Soderbergh – George Clooney collaboration. Mel Gibson’s “Apocalypto” took a steep dive, picking up just $6.3 million in its second weekend.
Did anyone go see it this weekend? I’d like to see it… Instead, I took the boys to see “Charlottes Web” which was totally cute. Except Charlotte freaked me out – she looked so real. And I hate me some spiders.

Julia Roberts will produce a feature adaptation of Lolly Winston’s bestselling novel “Happiness Sold Separately,” with an eye to star in the pic.
Scott Coffey (“Ellie Parker”) will direct and adapt.
“Happiness Sold Separately” is centered on a suburban wife and her withdrawal from her husband as he begins an affair with the nutritionist at their gym.
Coffey said, “I couldn’t get Julia out of my head when I was reading Lolly’s book. Elinor is such a strong, complicated woman, and bringing her to the screen required Julia’s integrity, empathy, humor and legs.”
Roberts is in production on Universal’s “Charlie Wilson’s War” and is voicing the title character in “Charlotte’s Web.” She’s attached to star in and produce “The Friday Night Knitting Club” for U and Christine Peters, and is developing a feature based on the American Girl doll characters with Walden Media and Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas.

She strips naked for some of the most explicit sex scenes ever seen in a mainstream movie – and is terrified of what her dad is going to think.
The shocking footage is so graphic Sienna admits she had to cover her eyes as she watched it on screen.
She said: “We wanted to make it realistic and I watched it thinking ‘Oh my God, my Dad’s going to see it!’ And that was going through my head.
But it was relevant to the story in that it’s a movie about the 60s, and sex and drugs and rock and roll were a big part of that. We didn’t want to hold back because it is a real film and it is a gritty film and there was a lot of shocking things and it wouldn’t fit in the film if we had an unrealistic sex scene. It was always a bit uncomfortable but I think it was relevant to the story.”
She added: “I think there were always concerns because it’s a vulnerable position to be in but, because Edie really had a problem letting men in, it was such a significant moment for her.
“I also believe that there’s nothing worse than seeing a sex scene where someone’s got a T-shirt on because its unrealistic so I think that if you’re going to do it, do it.”

Actress Angelina Jolie has revealed that she will be talking to director Roger Rodriguez about starring in his new Sin City film ‘A Dame To Kill For’.
Rumours that Jolie was Rodriguez first choice for the role began circulating early this year when Jolie was pregnant with her daughter Shiloh Nouvel.
Sin City actress Rosario Dawson who hopes to reprise her role as prostitute Gail said about the new Sin City film in March: “The film’s kind of been postponed because Robert has been interested in Angelina Jolie for the lead.
“But she’s very pregnant right now. So that’s putting an understandable hold on the film.”
The film will once again be based on Frank Miller’s graphic novel of the same name in which Clive Owen’s character Dwight meets up with his ex-wife Ava (Hopefully Jolie) and falls in love with her again, while she is secretly plotting his downfall.
According to Comingsoon.net, Jolie said of Rodriguez and ‘A Dame To Kill For’: “We talked about it and I read the comic I don’t think the film is being made at this moment.
“When it’s actually going to be made I’m sure we’ll talk more about it.”
