Yesterday actress and model Molly Sims debut a one-of-a-kind dress featuring thousands of real cranberries created by top designer Kevan Hall and inspired by Dial’s AntiOxidant Cranberry Body Wash.
Starting on March 20th, the dress will be auctioned off on Clothes Off Our Back online (www.clothesoffourback.org) benefiting The Children’s Institute, an organization enabling children to maximize their learning potential and to effectively utilize social skills in a positive manner.
A little bit about the dress…
• The dress has over 2,000 real cranberries from neckline to hem
• Six food stylists worked for 96 hours to prepare the cranberries for use
• Starting with raw, barely ripe cranberries (to ensure they retained their bright color and to avoid wrinkling), the food stylists hand-pierced each cranberry with a needle to release its moisture. Using a commercial-grade dehydrator, they then dried the berries at a temperature of 100ºF for 15 hours
• A team of 15 people worked on the dress from design through completion, including a pattern maker, cutter, beader, dress maker and the designer himself
• On the finished dress, the cranberries resemble beads more than actual cranberries

Celebrities turned out for A Night to Benefit Raising Malawi and UNICEF at the United Nations in New York City, yesterday. The stars included Brooke Shields, Cynthia Nixon, Debra Messing, Kimora Lee Simmons, Salma Hayek, Gwyneth Paltrow, Rachel Zoe, Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes, Ali Larter, Drew Barrymore & Justin Long, Molly Sims, Lucy Lui, Chris Ivery & Ellen Pompeo, Rihanna, Demi Moore, Madonna & Lourdes, Jessica & Jerry Seinfeld, and Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony.

Madonna hosted the star-studded fundraiser for Malawi orphans, last night.
The legendary singer, who has a two-year-old adopted son David from the African country, threw the New York bash for her Raising Malawi Foundation, United Nations children’s organization UNICEF and to celebrate the opening of a new Gucci store.
Madonna, who dismissed rumors the event was raising money for Kabbalah, said: “I am grateful that Gucci has underwritten this event, that’s all that matters to me - their generosity. There’s always controversy surrounding anything that involves change.
“I want to put Raising Malawi on the map. I want credibility as a philanthropic organization. I want to inspire people. I don’t want them to just write me a check - I want them to give me a piece of their heart.”
