Mischa Barton called Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show this morning to discuss her DUI arrest last month for the first time.
“I got a DUI when I was back in LA,” she said the Dec. 27 incident. “I was pulled over. Obviously, I am 100 percent responsible for my actions, and I am really disappointed in myself. I am not perfect, and I don’t ever intend to do something that stupid again.”
The 21-year-old former star of The O.C. acknowledged she doesn’t have a valid license: “I usually try not to get behind the wheel.”
“It is tough when people are talking about you all the time,” she told Seacrest. “You just have to roll with it. I feel like I’ve got my head on my shoulders pretty good.”

TMZ has confirmed that Mischa Barton has been arrested for DUI, possession of illegal narcotics and driving without a valid license.
The former “O.C.” star was pulled over early this morning around 3:00 AM as she was driving in West Hollywood, Calif., and is still in custody, being held on $10,000 bail. The Inmate Info doc called her “Mischa Burton.”
Mischa Barton is reportedly coming off of a recent stay at an Arizona rehab center … & according to paparazzi following the ex-OC actress, she hasn’t seemed to be able to stay sober for long. Looks like art has imitated life from the small screen to Miss Barton’s real life.
Barton & a friend stopped by a low-income housing facility in Venice, CA earlier this week to supposedly buy marijuana. When they returned to their car, they were observed sparking up a joint.
“Mischa appeared to be really enjoying the pot, taking long drags off of the joint before passing it to her buddy,” an onlooker tells.
After they got high, the group drove off to West Hollywood to take care of some last minute holiday shopping.
Let’s just hope Mischa remembered everyone on her list!

Maxim magazine’s January cover girl Mischa Barton has gon back to her golden locks -THANK GOD – in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on Wednesday. She’s in the Emerald Isle promoting her period drama Closing the Ring.
In her days since playing Marissa on The O.C., Barton says it’s been relatively easy to leave that part of her career behind her. She told press, “Even if I was a precocious teenager, it’s a New York vs. L.A. thing. I never experienced the ‘anything goes’ chaos we sold on The O.C. Marissa was a nut case. I didn’t have much in common with her. In New York I’d want to go out at 15 or 16, but I got it out of my system.”
She even helped conjure up the concept for killing off Marissa. “You have no idea how much fun I had doing that [scene]. I was on the set, yelling, “More blood! More blood!” She needed to go out with a bang.”
