Milla Jovovich , who gave birth to daughter, Ever, on Nov. 3rd, stepped out in Hollywood with fiance Paul Anderson Dec. 17th.

Milla Jovovich performed a little linguistic juggling act to come up with her newborn daughter Ever Gabo’s unusual name.

The actress, designer and model and her filmmaker fiancé Paul Anderson, who welcomed the baby on Nov. 3, combined their family histories to settle on the name, she writes on her blog.

“The name Ever is a Scottish boy’s name,” Jovovich explains. “Paul has Scottish blood in him (not to mention two tartans in his family!) so we wanted to give her a name that reflected her ‘Celtic’ roots.”

And the Gabo part? It’s “a mixture of my parents names!” she writes. “The first two letters are after my mom’s first name, Galina and the last two letters are after my dad’s first name Bogie!”

The new parents also posted a small photo of Ever on the blog. The baby shares her first name with at least one other celebrity, Ever Carradine, the actress daughter of Robert Carradine.

Anderson, 42, produced and wrote three Resident Evil movies which starred Jovovich, 31. They announced their engagement in March 2003, but have not yet announced a wedding date.

Milla Jovovich gave birth to a baby girl Saturday morning at L.A.’s Cedars Sinai Medical Center, sources tell Usmagazine.com.

It is the first child for the Russia-born Jovovich, 31, and her fiance, director Paul Anderson, 42. A source confirms to Us that the couple has named their daughter Ever. “Everything went really smooth,” says the source.

Jovovich hosted a baby shower at her Beverly Hills home on Oct. 14, where the yoga enthusiast gifted friends with special oils and Express sweatpants. “She couldn’t wait for the baby to come,” a source at the shower told Us.

The couple has said they plan to marry after the birth.

“He got me an antique ring and he proposed four years ago, but we broke up in between,” the Jovovich-Hawk clothing designer explained to Us last April. She and Anderson, 42, have been dating since he directed her in 2002’s Resident Evil.

A rep for Jovovich couldn’t be reached for comment.

Model/actress Milla Jovovich has personally thanked a compassionate blogger who agreed to stay mum about The Fifth Element star’s pregnancy until after her first trimester. Jovovich and her fiancé Paul W.S. Anderson tracked down E! Online gossip king Marc Malkin at a party earlier this week to thank him for giving the couple a chance to let the good news sink in before announcing it to the world.

Malkin reveals he first heard the news when Anderson was overheard talking to his mother about the baby at a Los Angeles restaurant, but he agreed to keep it to himself after Jovovich’s aides begged him not to go public with his scoop.

And when the blogger attended the launch party of Jovovich’s new fashion line, Jovovich-Hawk, at the Stoli Hotel party space in Hollywood, the actress made a point of thanking him.

He says, “Jovovich said to me, ‘That was so sweet of you to hold off.” The actress, who was showing off her slight baby bump at the party, told Malkin she has put on 25 pounds in her first four months of pregnancy and she’s craving steak and potatoes, spaghetti carbonara and Sprite. Malkin reports, “She’s been drinking Sprite like crazy – like six cans a day.”
