Let’s hope that one young star can stay on the straight and narrow.  It’s really depressing watching all these young stars turn into – well, skanks and felons.

The fact that Miley Cyrus’s Best of Both Worlds Tour became the quickest sell-out in the history of Philadelphia’s Wachovia Center must have put the superstar in a charitable mood. Prior to her sold-out show at the arena that’s home to the NBA’s 76ers, the Hannah Montana star modeled her personalized jersey from the team, and then put it up for auction.

The Cyrus-autographed jersey is now available for purchase in an auction to benefit charities chosen by the Philadelphia 76ers organization. Maybe all the excitement generated by her appearance will bring a boost to the team that’s in next-to-last place in their division.

The bid is up to $520!

Miley Cyrus took a break from her concert tour with a visit to Broadway’s Mama Mia! in New York on Sunday. The star of the Disney Channel phenomenon Hannah Montana recently extended her “Best of Both Worlds” tour, which resumes in January.

Love everything in the outfit but the hat. She’ll learn.

Pop star Miley Cyrus has a thousand outfits to choose from, but says she picks ones that will get a thumbs-up from girls and their parents.

The 15-year-old Hannah Montana sensation told Oprah Winfrey on her talk show Thursday that she has a stylist who helps her out, but added: “I say what I’m comfortable in and what I like and nothing that’s too out there. I like to look kind of like what girls would want to look up to, and their moms and dads will say, ‘Hey, that’s cool. That’s different.’ ”

“I look way young,” she said, “and that’s the way that’s more comfortable for me.”

Winfrey’s studio was packed with girls who didn’t need convincing, and much of the talk focused on how her family, including dad Billy Ray Cyrus, has kept the young star grounded during her rise to fame.

“My dad – he’s a big influence, not only just because of the music but growing up around him,” she said. “I’ve never seen him treat anyone less than with respect and love for everyone, down to the fans that wait until 3 in the morning until his bus pulls out at 5.”

Cyrus also mentioned church as a source of strength. When asked to name her favorite Bible verse, she quoted Ephesians 6:10-11 from memory: “Finally, my brother, come close to the Lord for if you put on the full armor of God you can stand against the walls of a devil.”

With everyone looking up to her, who does Miley look up to? Hilary Duff. “Because she’s someone that I got to watch, and I’m like, ‘Hey, she’s a normal girl,’ ” she explains.

She has another friends, too, that she likes to spend time with. Among them: her Hannah Montana costar, Emily Osment, as well as Ashley Tisdale.

“I miss her so much,” Cyrus says of Tisdale, who is currently on tour. “Every time that I’m home, when I want to go see her, she’s working too. So I miss her a lot.”

After a quick stop in Toronto, Miley Cyrus offered an eye-catching performance Monday at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, where she continued her Best of Both Worlds tour.

I’m not the most informed person on her, but wouldn’t you want to tour as yourself once you got the recognition as the character?

Don’t get me wrong- good for her, but at this point shouldn’t she market herself as Miley Cyrus instead of Hannah Montana?
