BREAKING NEWS: Michael Phelps Arrested For DUI

Olympic gold medal winner Michael Phelps was arrested for driving under the influence in Maryland…. Is there something in the water with these celebs?!? TMZ has the scoop:

Michael Phelps was arrested for driving under the influence in Maryland last night … law enforcement sources tell TMZ Sports.

We do not know the details of the arrest — but we’re told cops are preparing a statement and are expected to address the media very soon.

It’s Michael’s 2nd DUI arrest — he was popped in Maryland in 2004 when he was 19-years-old. He struck a plea deal with prosecutors and plead guilty in exchange for 18 months probation.

We’ve made multiple calls to Michael’s reps — but they would not take our calls.

Get it together already!!!

Michael Phelps isn’t retired anymore

Michael Phelps decided to retire from the world of swimming after winning a record number of medals in the 2012 London Olympics, but it turns out that retirement wasn’t permanent. He’s back in the swimming game and might even be preparing for 2016’s Rio games, or so it would seem…

Bob Bowman, the swimmer’s longtime coach, told the Associated Press on Monday that Phelps is entered in three events – the 50- and 100-meter freestyles and the 100 butterfly.

“I think he’s just going to test the waters a little bit and see how it goes,” Bowman said by phone from Baltimore. “I wouldn’t say it’s a full-fledged comeback.”

Phelps returned to training last fall and re-entered the U.S. drug-testing program. He has completed his six-month waiting period by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency to be eligible for competition.

Bowman said Phelps is “pretty far” from being back in top form. He’s been training Monday through Friday with Bowman’s team at the North Baltimore Aquatic Club.

“He’s gotten back into good shape since September,” the coach said. “He can give a good effort and certainly not be embarrassed. He’s in enough shape to swim competitively.”

There’s no doubt Phelps was damn good at what he did (does?), so I think this is great news!

Michael Phelps Is The New Face Of Louis Vuitton

Michael Phelps IS moving on to bigger and better things!  Yep, this guy. the one pictured here.

Despite the picture I used for this post, Phelps is looking MIGHTY FINE-= in the new Vuitton ad, shot by photographer legend Annie Leibovitz. In the campaign, Phelps is featured partially submerged in a bathtub while wearing his swimming goggles on his head and sporting a Speedo. His Louis Vuitton duffle can be seen on the bathroom floor beside him, ready for…using?

Now that the Olympics have ended, Phelps really has been doing it up-  a vacation in Maldives, and an appearance as a golf trainee on the Golf Channel reality show The Haney Project. And now, this! Nice work, GREATEST OLYMPIAN OF ALL TIME!

Michael Phelps Goes Clubbing With His Medals

I guess Michael Phelps– the 18 time gold medalist- deserves to show his BLING!

Just hours after swimming the last race of his career, Phelps hit the clubs in Soho! And hey, he does deserve it.  So who did he take out partying? Three of his 18 gold medals…and a mystery blonde.  Ohhhh!

Phelps and his medals partied responsibly and left the clubs in the backseat of a waiting SUV and got a ride home. The most successful Olympian in the history of the Olympics (it’s hard to argue otherwise, with him breaking lots of records and getting ALMOST TWENTY gold medals!), this dude is legendary. I like seeing him enjoy his twenties and going out like us normal kids.

GO USA!
