Dermatologist Subpoenaed for Michael Jackson Medical Records

Arnie Klein

Michael Jackson’s longtime dermatologist Arnold Klein — the biological father of Jackson’s eldest children Paris, 12, and Prince, 11 — was served a subpoena this afternoon, an official from the L.A. County Coroner tells Usmagazine.com.

“We are serving a Coroner subpoena at the office of Dr. Klein to obtain medical records,” Craig Harvey, Los Angeles County’s chief coroner investigator, tells Usmagazine.com. “That is all I can comment on.”

As for reports that Klein is under investigation, Harvey tells Us: “We do not investigate physicians, so I cannot comment on that. We routinely serve coroner subpoenas on physicians and hospitals and have served several in connection with this case. I cannot comment on who we have served subpoenas on or what records we have received or not.”

Klein denied he was being examined by authorities for supplying Jackson with prescription narcotics during a July 8 appearance on Good Morning America. (The singer was reportedly using powerful sedative Diprivan — generic name: propofol — at the time of his June 25 death from cardiac arrest.)

“I say that anyone who makes someone an addict or gives a person potentially dangerous substances directly to them to use, like [anesthesia] propofol is a criminal,” Klein told GMA. “It becomes nothing more than a manslaughter, or something worse than that.

“There was nothing wrong with the manner I treated Michael, because what I had to do is restructure for an individual who had lupus, who had terrible acne scarring his face,” Klein added. “But I was not one of the doctors who participated in giving him overdoses of drugs or too much of anything. In fact, I was the one who limited everything, who stopped everything.”

Toxicology reports that may determine the cause of Jackson’s death could be completed as early as Friday Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter said Monday.

This guy just looks creepy, if he’s guilty, they need to throw the book at him.

Michael Jackson might have a secret son

Michael Jackson & Omer Bhatti

Michael Jackson’s “secret son” – devastated over the King of Pop’s sudden death – is planning to have a DNA test that could put him in legal contention for a huge chunk of the singer’s estate, The Enquirer has
learned exclusively. Omer Bhatti, 24, wants to find out “once and for all” whether he’s Jackson’s biological son, reveal sources.

It has been reported that Omer, a close friend of Michael, was conceived in a one-night stand between Jackson and a Norwegian fan.

Under a secret agreement with the boy’s mother, Jackson moved Omer into his Neverland home in 1997 – and the boy ended up living on and off with the entertainer for the next few years and even appeared on stage with him. The two often dressed in identical clothing.

“Michael’s death has propelled Omer to seek the answer to a question he’s wrestled with his entire life: Is Michael his father?” a close source told The Enquirer.

“Omer is mourning Michael’s passing, but when that subsides, he’s determined to have a DNA test.”

The younger man had been billing himself as a hip-hop musician called O-bee. After Jackson died, Omer proclaimed on a Web site: “We have lost a family member.”

When The Enquirer contacted members of Omer’s family July 2 at his home in Oslo, we were told: “Omer is too distraught to talk at this moment.”

It’s clear there was a special bond between the two.

The boy flew to Tunisia in 1996 to meet Jackson when the singer arrived there on his HIStory world tour.

“And Omer was going to surprise Michael on his scheduled comeback concerts,” revealed the close source. “He was going to go onstage with him and recapture the moment when they sang and danced together back at the HIStory concert.

“Omer doesn’t care about the hundreds of millions in Michael’s will – he just wants to know if Michael is really his dad.”

Emails reveal Debbie Rowe never wanted custody

Debbie Rowe

A friend of Michael Jackson’s babymama Debbie Rowe has come forward with revealing e-mails that make it clear that Rowe has no interest in actually getting custody of the two children she had with the King of Pop.

In an interview to air tonight on Extra Debbie Rowe’s friend and confidant, Rebecca White, reveals details from e-mails from Rowe sent days after Michael’s tragic death.

From the start, Rowe made it clear that she did not want custody of the kids. In an email dated July 2, 2009, she writes:

“I’m not going after custody. These kids are not mine. They were never mine. They were always Michael’s. I was Michael’s best friend.”

But then, three days later on July 5, Rowe writes to White:

“My lawyer is telling me I have to take some responsibility about the welfare of the children. Do I want the kids? Hell no. Does it look good for me to ask for them? Absolutely. I don’t want to look like the woman who gave away her kids and just forgot about them. Would Michael want Joe to have them? I think it would be the last thing that he would ever have wanted.”

And one bit of information White shares would all-but confirm the report from this morning that Debbie had reached a settlement with the Jacksons.

White tells Extra: “In one text message [Debbie] had just said, ‘Just wait until the 14th. Everything will be done after the 14th’…There’s definitely going to be a secret deal. There’s definitely going to be a settlement that’s going to come out of this.”

Paris Jackson’s speech hits close to home for Kim Kardashian

Paris Jackson & Kim Kardashian

When Kim Kardashian watched Paris Jackson’s tearful tribute to her father at his public memorial Monday, Kardashian could identify with the little girl’s feeling better than most.

“I thought it was very moving and very brave of her,” Kardashian, who spoke at her own famous father Robert Kardashian’s 2003 funeral, told People Thursday at the Three-O Vodka launch party in New York.

“That was the hardest thing I ever had to do,” added Kardashian. “I couldn’t remember anything and I was shaking and it was really, really tough, and I was 22. [Paris is] only 11, and I thought it was very courageous of her to get up there.”

Despite the difficulty, Kardashian says speaking publicly was good for her then and is good for Paris now. “I was so glad I spoke at my father’s funeral even though I was really nervous and I thought I couldn’t do it,” she told People. “At the end of the day, you have that one opportunity to do that, and you want to say how you feel. She lived in the moment. I think it was really well said, and she did the best she could.”

Paris’s moving speech about Michael Jackson was just one part of a tribute that Kardashian says was fit for the King of Pop. “Everyone was sharing their most special moments with him and everyone was laughing and crying, and there was every emotion in that room. It was so special, and I’m so glad that I went.”

Michael Jackson was self injecting Demerol

Michael Jackson

A doctor who treated Michael Jackson claimed the singer self-injected Demerol into his system.

We’ve combed through tens of thousands of pages of the official file for the 2005 molestation trial. In the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s notes, a member of Jackson’s security detail — retired L.A. County Sheriff’s deputy Michael Laperruque — said some doctors were trying to get Jackson off of Demerol, and that one of the doctor’s in Santa Barbara “was upset with JACKSON because he had been self-injecting.”

Laperruque told detectives he had picked up Jackson’s prescriptions for the singer, usually under the name Chris Carter. Carter was one of Jackson’s bodyguards.

Laperruque also told detectives one time when he was at Neverland his job was to keep Jackson’s family out because they were planning an intervention.

Michael Jackson Memorial Costs Los Angeles $1.4 Million

Michael Jackson

Tuesday’s memorial service for Michael Jackson cost the financially-strapped city of Los Angeles $1.4 million.

The amount included $1.1 million in overtime pay for the 4,173 police officers who worked to secure Staples Center, Forest Lawn cemetery and other areas that attracted more than 17,000 fans and members of the media, the Police Department said in a statement.

The remaining amount was spent on traffic control, cleanup and other memorial service costs.

Despite the high cost, Matt Szabo — a spokesman for Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa — told the Associated Press the amount was “far less” than the initial estimate of $4 million.

Still, city attorney Carmen Trutanich said his office was investigating how the city can legally press third parties to pick up at least some of the tab. A report will be delivered to City Council by Friday. City Council will then create a policy declaring who should pay for city services associated with such events.

Los Angeles is $530 million in debt.

A PayPal donation site has been set up for public donations. So far, $17,000 has been donated as of Thursday afternoon.
