Michael Jackson autopsy delayed indefinitely

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson’s autopsy report has been delayed indefinitely, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office confirmed late Thursday.

The postponement was announced after a meeting between the L.A. County district attorney’s office, the Los Angeles Police Department and the coroner’s office to discuss the progress of the investigation, the Los Angeles Times reports.

L.A. coroner assistant chief Ed Winter told the paper he had “no idea” when the cause of death would be announced.

Court records released Thursday show investigators are looking for evidence of communication between Jackson’s personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, and other health practitioners who treated the singer.

According to the records, investigators are also seeking evidence supporting a manslaughter charge and a medical infraction of “prescribing to an addict.”

Murray’s Las Vegas properties were searched under warrant by LAPD detectives and federal drug agents on Wednesday.

Murray said through his lawyer that he didn’t give anything to Jackson that “should have” caused his June 25 death.

Michael Jackson’s Drug Aliases Include Son, Personal Chef

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson’s possible aliases used to fill prescriptions included his personal chef, his son Prince Michael, a personal assistant, the novelist Jack London and 1930s movie actress/dancer Josephine Baker, according to court documents released Thursday.

Warrants obtained to search the Las Vegas home and office of Jackson doctor Conrad Murray show that authorities were seeking evidence of the “delivery and storage” of the drug propofol, a powerful anesthesia that Jackson may have taken before his June 25 death. Jackson regularly used propofol to help him sleep, according to media reports.

The documents say authorities were searching for “charts, associated laboratory workups and X-rays, payment records and identification documents related to patient Michael Joseph Jackson” or a number of “aka’s” he may have used. These included the name of his chef Kai Chase and personal assistant Michael Amir Williams Muhammad.

In addition to London and Baker, other possible aliases listed were Paul Farance (also spelled Farnce), Bryan Singleton, Mike Jackson, Mic Jackson, Jimmy Nicholas, Blanca Nicholas, Roselyn Muhammad, Faheem Muhammad, Frank Tyson, Fernand Diaz and Peter Madonie.

The warrant was signed in Las Vegas District Court on July 24, two days after DEA agents raided Dr. Conrad Murray’s medical practice in Houston. Authorities in Las Vegas seized a computer harddrive, several cell phones, miscellaneous paperwork and a CD bearing the name “Omar Arnold,” one of the aliases listed in the warrant.

A separate search warrant also indicted that authorities raided a storage unit in Las Vegas on Tuesday, but no items were seized.

Debbie Rowe’s Attorney Applauds Her “Selflessness” Settling Custody

Debbie Rowe

A lawyer for Debbie Rowe is pleased with the way she handled herself while reaching a custody deal with the Jackson family over the late singer’s children.

“The parties engaged in a dignified discussion that resulted in a dignified outcome,” attorney Eric George tells Usmagazine.com in a statement Thursday. “The sole consideration between the parties was the best interests of the children. I’m proud to have worked with such professionals who represented Ms. Jackson, and I am particularly proud of Deborah for her integrity and selflessness.”

Added Katherine Jackson’s attorneys, L. Londell McMillan and Diane Goodman: “Mrs. Jackson and the family are pleased this matter is resolved and was handled in a caring, thoughtful and courteous manner by the parties and their representatives. We were all united in our goals to do what is best for Michael’s wonderful children, and both Mrs. Jackson and Debbie Rowe were on the exact same page. Accordingly, although important issues had to be resolved, this was no legal contest but rather simply a process doing the right thing for the right reasons.”

Their attorneys also confirmed details from Thursday morning’s custody report. Under the terms of the parties’ agreement:

Katherine Jackson shall be the guardian for the minor children;

Deborah Rowe shall exercise visitation rights with the two oldest children, Prince, 11, and Paris, 12. The timing, frequency and manner of visits shall be implemented according to the best interests of the children, as determined by a child psychologist selected jointly, and paid jointly, by Katherine Jackson and Deborah Rowe.

The parties have neither sought nor agreed to any compensation to be exchanged, apart from the continuation of spousal support payments that had previously been personally agreed to between Michael Jackson and Deborah Rowe.

Katherine Jackson to get full custody of Michael’s kids

Katherine Jackson

The 79-year-old mother of Michael Jackson will receive full custody of the pop singer’s three children under the terms of a deal that has just been reached, lawyers said Thursday.

Deborah Rowe, the mother of Jackson’s two oldest children – Prince Michael I, 12, and Paris, 11 – will get visitation rights with her kids based on a schedule worked out with a child psychologist. Rowe also will receive continued spousal support from her marriage to the singer.

“Mrs. Jackson and the family are pleased this matter is resolved and was handled in a caring, thoughtful and courteous manner by the parties and their representatives,” says a statement from Jackson’s lawyers, L. Londell McMillan and Diane Goodman. “We were all united in our goals to do what is best for Michael’s wonderful children, and both Mrs. Jackson and Debbie Rowe were on the exact same page. Accordingly, although important issues had to be resolved, this was no legal contest but rather simply a process doing the right thing for the right reasons.”

Rowe’s lawyer, Eric George, adds: “The parties engaged in a dignified discussion that resulted in a dignified outcome. The sole consideration between the parties was the best interests of the children. I’m proud to have worked with such professionals who represented Ms. Jackson, and I am particularly proud of Deborah for her integrity and selflessness.”

The custody agreement will be presented to a Los Angeles Superior Court judge on Monday. Both sides expect the court to approve of the deal.

Paris Hilton: Paris Jackson is named after me

Paris Hilton

Not only does Paris Hilton share a name with Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, the celebutante reveals that the late King of Pop asked her mom Kathy Hilton for permission to use the name.

“My mom and Michael went to high school together and they were best friends since they were 13,” she tells Extra.

“So I grew up knowing Michael very well and when he had his daughter, he always loved the name Paris and grew up being an uncle to me. So he asked my mom if it was okay and of course she said yes and I think she’s such a beautiful little girl and I’m proud we have the same name.”

Rupert Everett calls Michael Jackson a “freak”

Rupert Everett

Rupert Everett has described Michael Jackson as a “freak” who resembled a cartoon character.

The actor claimed that Jackson would not have been able to survive the pressure of performing his planned 50-date London O2 arena residency.

“I think it was fortuitous that he died,” he told The Mirror. “He was supposed to be doing 50 concerts in London. It wouldn’t have mattered how good or bad he was. He wouldn’t have managed to do them all and the press would have destroyed him.”

Despite the pop icon being cleared of ten counts of child molestation in 2005, Everett insisted that he never recovered from the ordeal.

“He was a freak. He looked like a character from Shrek. He was a black to white minstrel. He was crucified by that court case when he was accused of child molestation – that killed him,” he said.

“He personified the pain anxiety of a black man in a slave country. We all watched as he changed from black to white. He was living performance art.”

Everett appears in upcoming movie Wild Target.

Jamie Lee Curtis reveals painkiller addiction

Jamie Lee Curtis

With buzz building about the possible connection between Michael Jackson’s death and painkillers, actress Jamie Lee Curtis has made a powerful admission: She was hooked on them – and understands how hard it is to quit.

“I too found painkillers after a routine cosmetic surgical procedure and I too became addicted,” Curtis, 50, writes in a blog for the Huffington Post. “The morphine becomes the warm bath from which to escape painful reality. I was a lucky one. I was able to see that the pain had started long ago and far away and that the finding the narcotic was merely a matter of time.”

Though she does not disclose more details – a timeline of her addiction or what kind of treatment she sought, Curtis says she has since stopped using drugs. “My recovery from drug addiction is the single greatest accomplishment of my life,” she writes. “But it takes work – hard, painful work.”

Still, the actress empathizes with Michael Jackson. “I believe Mr. Jackson was in pain,” she writes. “Mr. Jackson was an addict. It is coming out. Everywhere. He wanted relief and would get it in any name, place or method he could. It was and is a conspiracy of silence and I’m sure there were attempts to intervene and I’m sure his family and friends tried … but the addict gets what the addict wants, relief from the pain of their life.”
