Melissa Rycroft is making her reality TV return!

Two years ago she starred on ABC’s The Bachelor, and cohosted Bachelor Pad Season 1. It’s been announced that Melissa is coming back to TV, this time in the Ryan Seacrest-produced (of course) series, Melissa and Tye: A New Reality. The show will air on CMT.

The series is set to premiere in April.

On Melissa and Tye, Rycroft, 28, will chronicle her move to Los Angeles to pursue a Hollywood career while maintaining a long-distance relationship with her husband, Tye Strickland, whom she wed in December 2009.

“Two year anniversary today! I’m such a lucky girl to have married my best friend, and someone who is such a good Daddy to our little girl!!” Rycroft tweeted December 12.

The couple welcomed their first child, Ava Grace, in February.

Melissa Rycroft, who was famously dumped by Bachelor Jason Mesnick after being chosen at the final rose ceremony, has finally found her prince charming. She is now married and expecting her first child with Tye Strickland.

Melissa gained famed when Bachelor Jason let her go on TV and then chose the first runner-up Molly. The two are now married.

Melissa became so popular by the viewing audience after she was let go by Jason, that she landed a gig on Dancing with the Stars and also became a co-host on the hit ABC show Bachelor Pad.

Now the reality star is expecting her first child and even knows what she will be having.

“We know the sex of our baby,” she says happily, although she and her husband Tye Strickland are keeping it a secret. “We can now narrow down the names to just one gender.”

With that question answered, Rycroft, who’s due in February, is enjoying a very easy pregnancy.

“Pregnant cravings are the one thing that I really want to experience,” she says, “and I’m not. My doctor says sometimes people don’t get to experience it. I have no cravings, no aversions, smells don’t bother me, no morning sickness, none of that. I’ve really gotten lucky. Not even heartburn.”

In fact, the only thing Rycroft, 27, has that proves she’s pregnant is a growing midsection.

“All I’ve got is the belly,” she laughs, pulling her T-shirt tight across her baby bump. “I like it. I was nervous about what my body was going to do, but I try to eat healthy and maintain somewhat of a workout schedule so that the weight I put on is a healthy weight. So far, it seems to be working for me.”

And what about the name? Will she give us a hint? “Tye and I have definitely been doing the name game, but we haven’t definitely picked one out,” she says. “We’re down to two possible names, so now it’s time to make a decision.”

And when they do choose the name, will they tell anyone? Rycroft just laughs. “I’m not telling,” she says with a cagey smile. “It’s a secret.”

I must say though, I thought her hosting skills on Bachelor Pad were horrible. I find her a bit annoying, but I am glad she is doing so well and is happy! Congratulations.

Melissa Rycroft is pregnant, the new issue of Us Weekly reports exclusively!

“It was a shock. We weren’t even trying,” says Rycroft Strickland, who capped off an emotional 2009 — in which she was publicly dumped on The Bachelor before rebounding with a triumphant turn on Dancing With the Stars — with her December wedding to insurance agent Tye Strickland.

“It’s the most wonderful surprise in the world,” adds Rycroft Strickland, who is due in February. “It’s such a blessing.”

Now cohost of ABC’s Bachelor Pad (which debuts Aug. 9), Rycroft Strickland, 27, tells Us starting a family was the last thing on her mind: “He wanted the kids right away, and I was laughing at him going, ‘No, not ready!’”

“He’s actually cried more than I have,” she tells Us. “Tye is caring, he’s funny. He’s going to be a great dad.”

Rycroft Strickland — who just bought a new home near Dallas with her husband — says she’s hoping for a boy, and he wants a girl. “We’re going to find out as soon as we can,” she says.

In the meantime, the host jokes that she’s “eating everything in sight” and craving no-nos like sushi and sub sandwiches.

“Knowing me, I’m going to swell and gain 90 pounds,” she says. “But it’s not about me anymore!”

The Bachelor’s Melissa Rycroft is heading back to The Bachelor mansion.

Melissa, who’s happily married to Tye Strickland will be heading back to the mansion with Bachelor host Chris Harrison. She’ll be co-hosting ABC’s new Bachelor Pad – a show featuring contestants from past Bachelor and Bachelorette seasons.

“I’m excited.” Rycroft tells PEOPLE. “It’s fun. It’s a brand new experience for me. I’ve never been on that side but I’m anxious. I’m excited and ready to start.”

The show, which has already started filming, will feature an all-star reunion of “some of the most unforgettable contestants and suitors,” a release from the network promises, who will live together in the mansion as they compete in a series of challenges and dates for a chance at winning $250,000 — and a second chance at love.

Bachelor Pad premieres Aug. 9 (8 p.m. EST) on ABC.

Melissa Rycroft wed Tye Strickland on the beach in Isla Mujeres, Mexico, on December 12, and everything was perfect — but because of their hectic schedules, they didn’t have any time for a honeymoon. So two months later, the newlyweds went back to Mexico for a Valentine’s Day getaway at The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, near Puerta Vallarta.

“We appreciate the trip more since we had time between the wedding and the honeymoon,” Melissa tells In Touch, as she and Tye exclusively share the details of their romantic weekend. “It has been absolutely perfect from the location to the hotel to the people to the ocean to the sunset,” she adds. “I don’t think we could have asked for anything more.”

As it turns out, the same goes for marriage: “I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world, Melissa tells In Touch. “It’s the greatest thing ever, Tye adds. “You get to share everything and know that no matter what, they are always going to stand by your side. I’ve learned to appreciate her more.”

As for starting a family, the newlyweds will be waiting. “We have a lot going on right now,” says Melissa. “Tye just opened his business, and work is going pretty well for me. I think we want to be selfish for as long as possible and just have the two of us until we hit the point where we are 100 percent ready. Right now, we’re on the three-to-five-year plan.”
