MY EYES, MY EYES!!!

It’s no secret that actress Melanie Griffith has fought a long battle to preserve her movie star looks - and it’s a battle being waged on two fronts - the face and the body.
The painfully thin actress was seen out shopping wearing a pair of white bermuda shorts, which exposed the severely wrinkled and sagging skin around her knee area.

The 49-year old is rumoured to have undergone a new bout of cosmetic surgery, however, she seems to have concentrated on her face, and neglected the rest of her body.
Her extremely baggy skin around the knee area could be a result of years of yo-yo dieting, which has contibuted to the premature loss of elasticity in the actress’ skin.

A few more pounds on her frame could make all the difference to her scrawny look, and in turn help her achieve the youthful look she is after.

Her husband Antonio Banderas insists that he wants her to grow old naturally, wrinkles and all.
But whether Melanie Griffith listens to his opinion is another matter.
At the weekend premiere for the movie Shrek the Third in Hollywood, the 49-year-old actress provoked speculation that she has undergone a new bout of cosmetic surgery.
Her skin was taut across the forehead and cheekbones, while her full lips appeared to have the makings of the notorious “trout pout”.
Banderas, still a heart-throb at 46, has been married to her for 11 years.
Previous husbands include actor Steven Bauer and Miami Vice star Don Johnson (twice).
The Spanish-born star of films including The Mask of Zorro has said: “Hollywood stars are not supposed to be perfection. I don’t believe in perfection. I think it is a mistake.
“I said to her, ‘I want to see you growing old and I will grow old with you too, and I don’t care”. I like her the way she is. Wrinkles are beautiful.”
Harley Street surgeon Apostolos Gaitanis, however, is in little doubt that she has had recent surgery.
He said: “It is possible that her youthful looks are down to genes, but I would say that in this case it is unlikely.”

Melanie Griffith felt insulted when she was asked to be the face of an anti-wrinkle cream.
The 49-year-old wife of Antonio Banderas was shocked when she was approached to promote age-defying makeup because she felt too young.
Melanie told Hello magazine: “I remember when Revlon asked me to represent their age-defying makeup, Age-defying? I was 34-years-old! I thought, ‘What are you talking about, age-defying? I still look 28.’ ”
The ‘Working Girl’ star hopes her career will not start to falter when she hits 50. She said: “In Hollywood you go from being a sex symbol to a grandmother overnight. After you turn 30 you’re on your way.
“Hopefully that is changing. I don’t think normal people feel that way. Maybe 50 should be the new 30 - that would be better. I got offered a couple of movies recently and they said I can still play 40. “I don’t really care so much anymore, I like the knowledge that I have.”
