With his glistening pecs and disarming smile, Matthew McConaughey is certainly one of the most desired men on the planet. But when the silver-screen superstar, who is often photographed sweaty and shirtless, tells the ladies he doesn’t wear deodorant, that may turn some admirers away.

So, the folks at Axe deodorant and body spray have written an open letter to the We Are Marshall star offering up some help for the first-time father-to-be:

“We know that you already have a stunning girl in Camila Alves,” the letter reads. “But in a survey we recently conducted, nearly 9 out of 10 girls (89 percent) told us that they would turn down a guy because he smelled bad — no matter how in-shape or successful he is. We read in the Sunday Times that you ‘never use deodorant’ and we sure want you to keep Camila around, so we’ve enclosed a one year supply of the new AXE Bullet, the first pocket-sized deodorant bodyspray for guys. We know that you’re always on-the-go and like to travel light, so this handy little gadget should fit perfectly into your active lifestyle.”

Whether or not Matteo has decided to use the year’s supply of Axe has yet to be announced.

Matthew McConaughey is among the favorites to land the leading role in Marvel’s upcoming Captain America movie, according to reports.

The Sahara star is an early leader in the race to don the patriotic red, white and blue suit for the 2011 movie. But website CinemaBlend.com insists McConaughey is only one of the actors Marvel bosses are considering for the role.

MovieBlend.com also offers a critique of the movie star as Captain America, suggesting he’d be a “strange choice”.

The website reports, “Though he’s made a lot of movies, there’s still been no real evidence that Matthew can really act. Aside from his questionable acting ability, there’s also his public persona as a rarely bathed, pot smoking slacker. The McConaughey we’ve all come to know embodies just about everything that Captain America isn’t.”

Kate Hudson has revealed she would like to make a third film with Matthew McConaughey.

The pair have acted opposite one another in the romantic comedy How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days and the recently released Fools Gold.

Speaking to DigitalSpy.co.uk at the UK premiere of Fools Gold, Kate said: “We have a really good time working together. It’s easy and we just have a good time.”

Previously, McConaughey had revealed to the website that he and Kate had been searching for the right movie to work on after How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days when their latest venture came along.

“We didn’t find the right thing for a while. So this came along and it was the right team – the right thing at the right time,” he added.

Meanwhile, Kate recently revealed that she does not like watching herself on the silver screen and often leaves the cinema before the film begins at premieres.

The movie hunk is reportedly in negotiations to take over the island detective role from Tom Selleck, who played Magnum on TV. Entertainment Weekly magazine reports McConaughey is currently reading the script.
