Glad to see Mary-Kate Olsen out & about after being hospitalized with a kidney infection last week. Happy recovery! Recently, MK was on the cover of NYLON- beautiful. Here are a few excerpts:

*On people’s perception of her: I wear weird things sometimes. I like to drink coffee. Neither of these things have anything to do with who I am. I am a bit kooky, I am a bit wacky, and that’s how my friends know me: It’s a happy craziness and they connect with that person and respect me for it.

*On her relationship with Ashley: We’re very close, we’re extremely close…We deal with so many things every day and we’re really the only two people who understand how it feels. I’m lucky to be able to go through these emotions with her — to share it and to know that I’m not alone…Yeah, I mean, my sister and I are so different. I think that’s why we work so well together — it’s the Ying and the Yang. When she’s up, I’m down and when I’m down, she’s up. We’re always sort of balancing each other out and encouraging each other…It’s like talking about friends. You’re different than your best friend; you’re two completely different people. Although we’re twins it really has nothing to do with how different we are.

In other news, the Lady Olsen moguls have re-listed their NYC penthouse for a mere $11.995 million … chump change, right?

Mary-Kate Olsen has been hospitalized with a kidney infection, her rep tells PEOPLE.

The actress entered the emergency room of a New York hospital on Monday.

“Mary Kate got a kidney infection,” says rep Nicole Caruso. “She’s resting comfortably and will be released in the next day or so.”

The actress, who turned 21 in June, recently said she was in good health.

“Mentally, physically, I feel pretty on top of my game right now,” she told EW.com in September, as she prepared for her debut in Showtime’s Weeds. “Talk to me next week, I don’t know. Today, I feel good.”

Mary Kate Olsen has been dating hockey player Sean Avery but it seems that Mary Kate isn’t the only girl Sean Avery is dating. The New York Post reports:

“Spies said New York Ranger Sean Avery, who was introduced to Mary Kate by a mutual pal, Bungalow 8 owner Amy Sacco, has a straying eye and, behind Mary-Kate’s back, has been seeing his ex- flame, Lake Bell, as well. Avery is not known for his gentlemanly ways; after his split from Elisha Cuthbert, he went around telling everyone he dumped the actress, not the other way around. ”

No word on whether Mary Kate has heard about this and what she plans on doing.
He sounds nice.

MARY-Kate Olsen was spotted last week locking lips and legs with a “scruffy” guy at a dinner at Club Le Baron in Paris for Greenhouse, the first-ever green nightclub made from recycled materials that’s set to open here on Tenth Avenue in December. The tall fellow pushed the pint-sized twin up against the wall and furiously made out with her to applause from the crowd. Olsen and her man even got a standing ovation from her table when she wrapped her legs around the guy.

Wonder why Mary-Kate Olsen always looks so down?

”I don’t want my picture taken,” the 21-year-old actress tells Entertainment Weekly magazine. ”The only time I think it’s OK is at a red-carpet event or a photo shoot.

”So every time I see paparazzi, I cover my face so they don’t get a picture, and I’m just ‘the mean person who doesn’t smile.”’

Olsen, whose waiflike figure has made her a target of media scrutiny, avoids public displays of attention.

”I would love to be able to swim in the ocean in Malibu,” she says. ”But that is asking for a bikini shot. That’s inviting something that I don’t want to happen. I don’t need to be on a ‘Who’s Skinny, Who’s Fat, Who’s Looking Healthy, Who’s Not Eating?’ list.”

After a hiatus from acting, Olsen - who rose to fame on TV’s ”Full House” in a shared role with twin sister Ashley - will portray an alluring Christian girl on Showtime’s ”Weeds.” Her 10-episode arc begins Sept. 17.

She also returns to the big screen in ”The Wackness,” co-starring Ben Kingsley. The film is slated for release next year.

”There’s definitely been times in my life when I just turned to people and said, ‘I’m done, this is too much for me, this is too overwhelming,”’ Olsen says.

She’s in a healthy frame of mind these days.

”Mentally, physically, I feel pretty on top of my game right now,” Olsen says. ”Talk to me next week, I don’t know. Today, I feel good.”
