I like it.
VH1 did something right this year (cough cough, Amber Rose talk show, cough cough) and ordered a new unscripted series starring Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg with the working title “Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party.” Essentially the two will be having a big ‘ol party with celebrity guests and I dunno, shooting the S*it. Th show is set to premiere this fall.
And if you think the combo is new, think again. Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart are not strangers to working together: Snoop has been a guest on Stewart’s talk show (pictured below, making weed brownies) and both appeared on last year’s Comedy Central roast of Justin Bieber. So they have history. Here are their lil’ promo bits:
“At our dinner party, we will exemplify America’s fascination with food, entertaining and celebrity,” Stewart said. “‘Martha & Snoop’s Dinner Party’ will redesign the traditional food competition shows in a new, different and very funny way.”
Snoop Dogg added, “My homegirl, Martha and I have a special bond that goes back. We’re gonna be cooking, drinking and having a good time with our exclusive friends. Can’t wait for you to see how we roll together!”
Will you watch? Not gonna lie, I’m digging this combo an will probably check out the show. WEIGH IN BELOW!

Martha Stewart is NOT impressed by you HIPSTERS.
The lifestyle guru has a new interview with Luxury Listings where she skewers the work ethic of the millennial generation. And you know, by “skewer” I mean she mildly insults, in her own Martha Stewart-y way. capable of growing a lovely little tomato plant in their own tiny apartment.
Martha Stewart isn’t impressed by millennials, who she says need to stop living with their parents and find some “initiative.” The domestic diva, 74, didn’t mince her words in a new interview with Luxury Listings.
“I think every business is trying to target millennials. But who are millennials?” she said. “Now we are finding out that they are living with their parents. They don’t have the initiative to go out and find a little apartment and grow a tomato plant on the terrace.”
She continued, “I understand the plight of younger people . . . The economic circumstances out there are very grim. But you have to work for it. You have to strive for it. You have to go after it.” Stewart added, “I got married at 19, and I immediately got an apartment and I fixed it up. I was very proud of everything I did. I got the furniture at auctions for pennies.”
She said that she was encouraged by restaurateur David Chang to focus on educating young people during a recent dinner at her Bedford, NY, farm.
“David Chang kept saying, ‘Martha, you know so much and the millennials have to know this stuff! . . . They don’t know how to grow spinach.’”

Listen- the world has changed since Martha was a youth, but I think she’s not giving millennials the credit they deserve. It’s hard out there!
What do YOU think of her views on the millennial generation?

Back in October, Martha Stewart took a stab at poking fun at Gwyneth Paltrow’s divorce from Chris Martin with a full page recipe for a holiday pie with the title “Conscious Coupling”. Now, it appears that Gwynnie has decided to fire back with her “Jailbird Cake”.
From Martha Stewart’s holiday pie picture:
Every Thanksgiving table should be blessed with the presence of a long-married pair who bring out the best in each other, are completely enamored despite their differences, and leave every other guest thinking, I’ll have what they’re having. Our holiday pies honor such so there’s a pleasant mix of textures and flavors in every bite. No matter how you slice partnerships, each spotlighting the perfect marriage of crust and filling these six irresistible desserts, there is a whole lot to love.
Jailbird Cake seems kind of a lame response to Martha’s shade, so we’re going to award this round to Martha. You can check out the recipe for GOOP’s lame cake here.

The beautiful Gossip Girl star, Blake Lively, recently launched her own lifestyle website, Preserve. It’s had some mixed reviews- and some have called her out for trying to be the next, Gwyneth Paltrow or Martha Stewart. Well it turns out that Stewart is friends with Lively and her hottie McHottie husband, Ryan Reynolds, because they were neighbors for a period of time. They are so friendly, in fact, that Martha Stewart saved their wedding day from falling apart and called in her own team to make it a fabulous last minute affair in South Carolina.
That aside- Stewart appears a little skeptical about Lively’s foray into the world of being a lifestyle guru. Stewart spoke with HuffPost Entertainment about the blonde starlet:
“They’re very friendly, very nice people,” she added. “In a way, kind of shy — not shy on the screen, at all, if you’ve seen any of Blake’s movies — but very shy in person. But she’s a baker and a homemaker and now she’s starting her own blog [Preserve] … I haven’t seen it yet.”
“I mean, it’s stupid, she could be an actress! Why would you want to be me if you could be an actress? I just did a movie yesterday, though — I can’t even tell you about it — but I want to be Blake Lively,” she joked.
So perhaps she thinks Lively should stick to what she knows… On a completely superficial note- I think Stewart should maybe stick to a different stylist. Those gold lame pants aren’t doing her any favors.
I don’t mind the Preserve website- nor do I mind Paltrow’s GOOP. I guess neither are just that applicable to my own day to day life. But I don’t think these women are crazy for trying something new and putting themselves out there. Why not? They don’t claim to speak for everyone. I don’t know. I hope Lively and Reynolds start making really adorable babies soon though. Their genetics shouldn’t go to waste.
