A beefed-up Mark Wahlberg stepped out in his underwear on the balcony of his Miami Hotel to catch some fresh air this morning. The actor is in Miami shooting his newest film ‘Pain and Gain’.

Celebrity dad Mark Wahlberg is trying to teach his oldest kids a lesson: don’t get tattoos.  Mark shared that he’s in the process of removing all of his tattoos and has been taking Ella and Michael along to witness the painful procedure.

“[All the tattoos] have meaning to me, but it’s both personal and professional.

I don’t want my kids getting tattoos. And I wanted them to be [removed] by the time I did The Fighter because putting make-up on and covering them up has always been a pain in the butt.”

I’ve taken my two older kids to the procedure so they see how painful it is and what I have to go through,” he reveals.

Mark also says that he’s hoping none of his kids catch the acting bug:

“I don’t want my kids to be in the entertainment business either, which is why I’m trying to build a lot of [separate] businesses.   If they feel [passionate about acting], and that’s the decision they want to make, then I’ll support them. But I’ll do everything I can to point them in another direction.”

It’s funny how most celebrity parents are adamant that they don’t want their own kids getting into showbiz.  I’m sure their own parents felt the same way.

Mark Wahlberg is back-pedaling this afternoon, apologizing for the comments he made during an interview with Men’s Journal about 9/11, claiming he would’ve landed the plane safely had he been on board.  He tells TMZ he’s very sorry:

“To suggest I would have done anything differently than the passengers on that plane was irresponsible. “To speculate about such a situation is ridiculous to begin with.  I deeply apologize to the families of the victims that my answer came off as insensitive, it was certainly not my intention.”

Mark’s initial comments to Men’s Journal if you missed it this morning:

“If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have went down like it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, ‘OK, we’re going to land somewhere safely, don’t worry.’”

Mark Wahlberg is one of Hollywoods biggest action movie stars. Has he let it go to his head? Or is he actually that badass in real life?

In a new interview with Men’s Journal, Walhberg makes the claim that had he been on one of the 9/11 planes, it would not have ended the way it did that fateful day. Reportedly he decided to fly to Toronto a week before 9/11 and avoided boarding one of the planes out of Boston that crashed into the World Trade Center on September 11th.

“If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have went down like it did,” he tells the magazine. “There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, ‘OK, we’re going to land somewhere safely, don’t worry.’”

Wahlberg has spoken before of the near-miss, and the action he would have taken had he been on the flight.

“We certainly would have tried to do something to fight,” he said in 2006. “I’ve had probably over 50 dreams about it.”

To his credit, Wahlberg is in impeccable shape. Part of what makes him stand out as an action star is his willingness to put himself on the line for a scene.

“[In 'Contraband'] I did all the stunts and then in ‘The Fighter’ obviously we did all the fighting and we fought and we made it real,” he recently told GQ. “If it’s necessary then we’ll do it.

It worked out; “Contraband” won the box office with a $28.5 million take this past weekend.

Apparently Mark is now a very religious man. He went on in the same interview to open up about his sex life. “I don’t get down with jerking off, dude. Look. I don’t believe in everything that the church says. I try to do the right thing. I lead a clean and pure life. I’m a married guy. I have a beautiful wife. Sex is not the most important thing to me, being horny all the time, spanking the — I mean, it’s not against the law. You can do whatever you want. And it’s not like, ‘I shouldn’t do it because of my faith. I’m just not really that into it that much anyway.”

Okay, first of all. I find his comments about 9/11 incredibly insulting. Insulting for every family member who lost someone they love on that plane. His comments insinuate that the people on the plane didn’t do enough to stop what was happening. It’s just not fair to any of the victims to say hey – if I were on the plane, none of that would have happened. Could there be a bigger narcissist than Mark Wahlberg? Man, that just really rubbed me the wrong way. It’s one thing to say you wish you were on the plane – to see if the outcome would have been different. It’s something else entirely to boldly say “it wouldn’t have went down like it did.” Only people who know what happened on that plane – died that day.

Mark Wahlberg says that Jennifer Lopez is dying for the lead role in the new flick ‘Cocaine Cowboys’ and he thinks it’ll bring an Oscar to anyone who lands the part.

Mark was on ‘Sway in the Morning’ explaining that he won’t announce yet who will be playing the role of ‘Godmother’ Griselda Blanco until the script is finalized.  The movie is about the drug trade that swept through southern Florida in the 1970s and 1980s.

“It’s one of those characters that will go down in history… If I could play Griselda, I would. That’s Academy Award (material) right there.”

Bradley Cooper has replaced Mark Wahlberg in David O. Russell’s new movie “The Silver Linings Playbook”, because he costs less money.

This is shocking, considering Mark Wahlberg and David O. Russell worked together on “The Fighter”. Rumors have surfaced that the two are embroiled in a nasty fight.

After waiting years to bring the story of underdog Boston boxer Mickey Ward to theaters, Mark Wahlberg, stung by Darren Aronofsky’s departure, asked David O. Russell to helm the picture. The film would go on to garner a boatload of Oscar nominations, and prompted the two friends to develop more projects together. One of them, “The Silver Linings Playbook,” in which Wahlberg was set to star, recently underwent a sudden casting switch — leading to a major falling out between the two.

The Wrap reports that Russell decided to recast the film’s leading role, swapping Wahlberg for Bradley Cooper. At first it seemed as if it was an issue of timing — Wahlberg is very busy at the moment, as he is slated to film at least three new movies in the coming months — but it turns out it was a simple squabble over money. Cooper, it appears, would work more cheaply than Wahlberg, who was owed a $900,000 bonus because Anne Hathaway dropped out of the film (Jennifer Lawrence will replace her as a younger love interest).

Now, Cooper will take on the role of a man recently released from a mental health facility, looking to put back together his life. It’s caused a major rift between Wahlberg and Russell, who had previously made “Three Kings” and “I Heart Huckabees” together. What that means for the sequel to “The Fighter” remains to be seen.

Still, don’t fear, Wahlberg fans; there’s plenty of Marky Mark still on the horizon. He’ll soon star in “Contraband” with Kate Beckinsale, “Ted” with Mila Kunis, the drama “Billy Jack” and mob movie, “When Corruption Was King,” and the cop comedy, “Bait and Switch.”

Actress Mila Kunis look stunning as she walked out of a church with her “groom” Mark Wahlberg in Boston, Massachusetts while filming their latest movie “Ted in Boston”.

Directed by “Family Guy” creator Seth McFarlane, the film tells the story of John (Wahlberg) a Boston native whose childhood wish comes true when his teddy bear (Ted) comes to life.

Really? Teddy bear comes to life? Hopefully it’s better than it sounds! I love Mark – so I have to have faith that he wouldn’t do a crappy movie (oh wait, he did ‘Other Guys’).
