According to EW, Grammy winner Marc Anthony is joining TNT’s drama series HawthoRNe as a series regular.

Anthony was on the show as a guest star for a couple episodes last season, playing Det. Nick Renata. He’s been brought on board the series just as star Jada Pinkett Smith’s title character Christina Hawthorne struggles with the news that she is pregnant. The two had some chemistry last season, but Christina had told Nick she wasn’t ready to jump into a new relationship.

Anthony has been dubbed the top-selling salsa artist of all time; HawthoRNe averaged 3.7 million viewers last season and is returning in June for its third season.

In addition to Marc Anthony being sued, his wife Jennifer Lopez is being sued, as well.

A lawsuit against J-Lo has been amended to include a deal that she made with Telemundo, but fell through.

Claudia Vasquez, long-time girlfriend of JLo’s ex husband Ojani Noah, sued Lopez earlier this month. Now we’ve learned that she’s amending the lawsuit and including the allegation that a Telemundo deal was not completed after the Telemundo lawyers decided they did not want to be adverse to JLo.

Noah and JLo have been embroiled in litigation for years, with Noah restrained from releasing home videos of his superstar ex wife. Now Vasquez wants to use those movie for a project about Noah’s life and that project naturally includes his marriage to Jlo.

The amendment to the existing lawsuit claims that Telemundo was interested in the project but ultimately passed on it because of JLo.

Not a great way to start the year! Marc Anthony was hit with a tax lien of $3.4 million, Radar Online reports.

Within the span of three months (January-March, 2010), Anthony was hit with back bills of $1.8 and $1.6 million for unpaid taxes on his Long Island estate. Radar was unable to learn if they had been paid back, as both Anthony and his manager refused to respond to questions.

Of course, it wasn’t a one-time mistake for Anthony; in 2007, he was hit with $2.5 million in back tax bills, a culmination of not paying up for four years.

Why they allegedly sought to skip out on taxes is unclear; according to a 2008 People article, wife Jennifer Lopez takes in around $20 million a year (with fashion companies estimated to be worth $225 as of 2008) and Anthony pulls in $11 million. The couple are also now investors in the NFL’s Miami Dolphins.
