Madonna has been added to the roster of stars appearing on tonight’s “Idol Gives Back” charity special.

“American Idol” executive producer Nigel Lythgoe made the announcement this morning on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show.

“I’m gonna blow [a secret] now: Madonna came on board yesterday,” said Lythgoe. “And that is just fantastic.”

Madonna has denied she is planning to adopt another child from Malawi, at the beginning of a charity work related trip to the African country.

She is expected to visit an orphanage just outside the capital Lilongwe as well as travel to the Home of Hope orphanage, where Banda lived before Madonna applied to adopt him.

SOURCES close to Madonna say the pop queen is headed back to Malawi this weekend to look at adopting another baby. “She’s going to Africa on Saturday, and on Sunday her family will be one bigger,” our spy predicted. But her rep, Liz Rosenberg, said, “Madonna is going to Africa to continue her work with the Raising Malawi organization. She is overseeing the building of a children’s health-care center. She is absolutely not adopting another baby.” Last year, Madonna and husband Guy Richie caused a furor when they got little David Banda from the poverty-stricken nation in an adoption some said was illegal.

Justin Timberlake is busy writing songs for Madonna.  The former NSYNC star is collaborating with the Queen Of Pop on her forthcoming album, which is due out in November.

Justin confirmed: “I have been working on some new music.  But it’s not for myself – I’m writing for other people. I’m working on some stuff for Madonna.”

Justin headed into a West London studio yesterday with Madge.  He is in the country for a few weeks as he prepares to kick off the UK leg of his current world tour.

Madge is also working with TIMBALAND, FELIX DA HOUSECAT, PHARRELL, & STUART PRINCE.
