OMG it was kick butt. It was so good!? And thanks to Erin for sending in this tip. The Tail Section has posted a picture of Jacob. (Above is the official pic from ABC, below is disputably a fake copy – pohotshopped to look like Locke maybe?)

Am I the only one who missed this last night? I don’t remember seeing him at all!?
I read alot of people are trying to figure out who Jacob is. Lots of people say it’s Locke – okay, how cool would THAT be. Is it Dennis Hopper (it totally looks like Dennis Hopper)? Someone suggested Kris Kristoferson.
UPDATE: I got some more info on last night’s epsiode….but BEWARE, IT CONTAINS WHAT SOME PEOPLE MIGHT CONSIDER SPOILERS… This is from www.thelostdiary.com my FAVORITE Lost re-cap source.
Locke is one of the two most indispensable characters on “Lost” (Henry Gale being the other). Those two characters, more so than any others on the show, are connected with what is happening on the island. They are the ones that are most rooted in the entire essence of the show; the island itself. Juliet, Desmond and Hurley are up there, Sayid and Sun, too. But those two are the heart and soul of the show right now.
And the opposite is true for so many other characters. Charlie, for example, has nothing to do with anything (which is the main reason I hate him). Is there any mystery to him? Anything unsolved? Does he bring anything to the table? And most importantly, if we just lifted him off the show, would anything be missing? He is completely and utterly dispensable. So is Claire, Jin, Kate, Sawyer (sorry Lauren) and in a lot of ways even Jack.
**MILD SPOILER ALERT. READ THE NEXT PARAGRAPH AT YOUR OWN RISK**
From what I’ve heard (try as I might to avoid it), five characters die before the end of the year. Charlie, Claire, Jin, Kate and Sawyer are the most dispensable characters, as I just mentioned. Could it be them?
**OK, YOU CAN COME BACK NOW**
So in summary, Jacob will “help” Locke. The show needs him.
On to Jacob now — who or what is he? Why couldn’t Locke hear what he was saying to Henry Gale? Why couldn’t Henry Gale hear what he was saying to Locke? What was that powder around Jacob’s home? Is he trapped there somehow by Henry Gale so that no one else can talk to him? How many questions can I ask about a character we saw for about a second and only said two words?
I feel like I learned a lot this week, a lot of new questions were certainly raised, and some good ones were answered. But, like I said, I don’t think Locke is really dead, so the cliffhanger doesn’t really do much for me. I give the episode an A.
Discuss … I’m a LOST junkie!

The Emmy-winning adventure series will run for 48 more episodes over three seasons. Each season will consist of 16 episodes, which will air uninterrupted.
“Lost” executive producers/showrunners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, who have been vocal about setting up an endgame for the show, have signed on to stay for the remainder of the series’ run. Their separate new eight-figure deals with “Lost” producer ABC TV Studio include their services on the show as well as multiyear development pacts set to kick in when “Lost” bows out during the 2009-10 season.
“Due to the unique nature of ‘Lost,’ we knew it would require an end date to keep the integrity and strength of the show consistent throughout and to give the audience the payoff they deserve,” ABC Entertainment president Stephen McPherson said.
Lindelof said having the end point in sight was “incredibly liberating. Like we’ve been running a marathon and we actually know where the finish line is for the first time.”
Lindelof and Cuse said they’ve had “a road map for the series with all the major mythological milestones and the ending in place” for a while.
“What we didn’t know was how long we had to play the story out,” Cuse said. “By defining the endpoint we can now really map out the rest of the series in confidence.”
There will be some puzzle play, too.
“We sort of view ‘Lost’ as a mosaic,” Cuse said. “Now there are only 48 more tiles that go into that mosaic, and we’re figuring out, along with all the other writers, exactly where they all go.”
In January, Lindelof and Cuse said that they envisioned the endpoint for “Lost” around episode 100. The agreement with ABC will bring the total number of episodes to 120.

Lost was GREAT last night! The last several Lost episodes have been less than amazing. We were promised suprises – and instead had revelations that most of us Lost fans already knew (Claire and Jack are siblings? Ya don’t say!)
In case you haven’t seen Lost yet – I’m going to put the rest of this behind the cut. If you want to keep reading click on MORE! (more…)
Lost stars Naveen Andrews and Dominic Monaghan are bemoaning the lack of screen time they have in the third season of the desert island show. The actors earn a reported $78,000 a week playing Sayid Jarrah (Andrews) and Charlie Pace (Monaghan), but admit they spend a lot of time sitting around with nothing to do.
Andrews says, “Even though I like getting paid for doing nothing, it is nice occasionally to work.”
Monaghan adds, “As one person works more, work is being taken away from another. You have to make your peace with that.
Executive producer Carlton Cuse explains, “The actors are frustrated. They’re all really good at what they do and it’s difficult when they don’t get a chance to do it.”

I’m a HUGE fan of LOST. HUGE. I have watched every SINGLE episode since it began, and have even read up on all the LOST fansites. As long as LOST is on TV, I will watch it. Hey – I watched every single episode of Alias, even when it REALLY SUCKED (anyone remember the zombie episode?).

LOST totally dissappointed me last night. It was the most BORING, HUGEST waste of a LOST episode I’ve seen yet. In case you don’t remember – the preview they showed last week for “Tricia Tanaka is Dead” said “If you don’t watch – you won’t know what everyone is talking about the next day.” Want to know what I’m talking about today? How much last night’s episode of LOST sucked!
What was the huge suprise? That Alex is really Rousseau’s daughter? Huge shock! We already figured that out ages ago! Are you freakin serious?

Did we learn anything new last night? Yeah, Hurley wasn’t always fat. Woop-de-doo. Did the flashbacks give us any new information? NO! Seriously – what was the point of that episode?
I’m pissed…because ABC totally misled all of us LOST fans with the line “If you don’t watch – you won’t know what everyone is talking about the next day.” HEEELLLOOO… we’re not total doorknobs! Of course we knew Alex was Rousseau’s daughter.
LOST was so boring last night…I actually fell asleep. Enough with the bloody van already.
What did you think?
Thanks to my buddies over at The Tail Section…comes this little tidbit from last night’s episode of LOST (which rocked, btw).

The symbol that Juliet was branded with was very similar to the cross of Scientology, turned upside down. Inverted crosses came about with St. Peter’s crucifixion. He did not feel worthy of being crucified under the same cross as his messiah. It has since come to symbolize ‘unworthiness’ and as a mark of deep respect for your superiors.
Could the others be Scientologists?
