Liv Tyler is ‘doing well’ following her split from rocker husband Royston Langdon, according to her superstar father Steven Tyler.

On Friday, the Armageddon actress and her British partner, 36, shocked fans by announcing their separation after five years of marriage.

But according to her dad, Aerosmith frontman Tyler, the 30-year-old is quickly bouncing back.

He tells UsMagazine.com, “Liv is doing great.”

Tyler married Langdon in the Caribbean in 2003. Together they have a four-year-old son, Milo.

Liv Tyler and her husband, British rocker Royston Langdon, have decided to separate, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.

“Liv Tyler and Royston Langdon have confirmed their separation. They remain good friends and devoted parents to their son Milo and are requesting that their family’s privacy be respected at this time.”

Tyler, 30, and Langdon, 36, wed in 2003 in a private ceremony at a villa in the Caribbean. Their son Milo was born in December 2004.
