Lindsay Lohan is still comparing herself to Marilyn Monroe.

In a new essay written as an introduction for a new coffee table book, “Marilyn, Intimate Exposures”, Lindsay compares herself to the late actress.

Even though it’s a book about Marilyn Monroe, Lindsay takes the opportunity to make the essay all about herself.

“I can understand the photographer Bernard of Hollywood’s statement, ‘it took a superhuman effort to be Marilyn.’ I identify,” Lindsay writes, referring to Marilyn’s public image.

However, she goes on to say that, while Marilyn’s was her own projection, her own is created by the tabloids that will simply not let Lindsay be great.

“People in their mind have created who I am and act as if there is no real person inside of me. Just like Marilyn, who created the blond goddess on camera… Marilyn never wanted to be a celebrity. Neither do I,” she says.

“I don’t want to be remembered as someone who just wanted to be photographed, who goes out at night, and gets in trouble,” Lindsay adds in what she turned into her own plea for privacy and respect, instead of a tribute to Marilyn.

“I was just sort of acting out that period of time I never had [high school], and I made some bad choices. So all the tabloids, just like Marilyn, keep harping on my mistakes,” she continues.

Even though she’s determined to give it another try and to prove to the world that she’s no longer the irresponsible, immature girl she was a few years ago, it’s the media who won’t allow her a second chance, having already made up their mind about how she should be.

“Marilyn said she had no foundation. But she said she was really working on it. I’ve been trying to do the same thing. But sometimes a relationship doesn’t work out like you’d hoped,” Lindsay writes.

“The tabloids don’t give you a chance. They don’t want to know who you are inside. If everything’s OK with you, who wants to hear about it? I believe in myself and I’m a good actress,” she adds.

Lindsay Lohan was front and center at Kanye West’s debut fashion show over the weekend at Paris Fashion Week.

The onetime actress attended the KW by Kanye West Ready to Wear Spring/Summer 2012 show yesterday and was joined by the likes of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, Ciara and Jared Leto.

Before the show, Kanye admitted he was nervous about showcasing his designs as he didn’t want to be known as just a “celebrity designer”.

He said: “I’m so scared, I’m so nervous.

“The biggest conversation I hope I can end tonight is whole ‘celebrity designer’ thing. That’s the biggest hurdle when you want to get amazing people to work for you.”

However, his show didn’t win over the critics, with many calling his creations boring and dull.

The New York Times said: “Next season Kanye should get a tailor so clothes might fit. Models swimming in some looks.”

Lindsay went on to party the night away in Paris, with photographer Terry Richardson on her arm. I wish Lindsay would wear a better color. This pale look doesn’t do her any favors. Daily Mail said it best:

The pale ecru drained the actress and model’s porcelain skin, and the creased fabric made her look scruffy and not stylish.

But the worst aspect of the frock was the lack of support offered to the blonde’s cleavage, a bra would’ve improved the look beyond measure.

This is now the third or fourth time Lindsay Lohan has been photographed kissing designer Philipp Plein in Milan. Her rep insists the two are NOT a couple, but while they might not be a couple – they’re certainly enjoying each others company!

On the heels of last night’s packed September launch party at Le Bain, we chatted with Lovecat editor Prince Chenoa about the newest issue (which features never-before-seen stills of Lindsay Lohan from Richard Phillips’ film), Ms. L herself, and all the usual things: sex, drugs, and Pinky and the Brain.

Tell us a little about your latest issue…
Prince Chenoa:This issue is our Sextember issue – we highlight different brands and bombshells – and it’s also our “fashion + film” issue, out for fashion week. We wanted to celebrate one of today’s most influential actresses, Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay is just amazing to work with. She was shot by famed painter Richard Phillips, and stars as “Lyndsy Lohan” in this issue.

Why the name change to “Lyndsy”?
We were looking to change the perception of Lindsay. By changing her name slightly, she became a fictional character who for the first time is seeing herself from the other side of the mirror. As a true film icon, she is unsure of where fiction and reality connect. She finds herself in a dreamlike state of mind. These pictures are never before published stills from the Richard Phillips film.

And who is Lovecat’s type of girl?
Sexy, fun – a classic bombshell beauty. Think a mix of Brigitte Bardot, Cindy Crawford, Pamela Anderson, and Rosie Huntington.

Lindsay Lohan is certainly enjoying the company of her latest employer, Philip Plein.

Just days after landing a modeling gig for Philipp Plein’s clothing line, Lindsay Lohan was spotted holding hands with the designer in Milan, causing many to wonder if the two had a romantic relationship to go along with their business partnership. The twosome didn’t seem shy about the public PDA while they were out shopping together on Monday, so are they more than just friends, or was it simply a bit of innocent hand-holding? Her rep got right to the point, telling Celebuzz:

“Lindsay is not dating Philipp Plein.”

On Sunday, Lindsay was seen striking a pose during a photo shoot for the Spring and Summer 2012 campaign. She changed in and out of a range of outfits including a summery red leather coat with matching short shorts.

When Lindsay was named the new face of the clothing line, Philipp said:

“Lindsay is a beautiful, highly acclaimed actress and model. We will be able to create unique images: Refined and luxurious, but also full of sensuality.”

Lindsay Lohan only just arrived in Milan but she’s already “hard at work” on her new modeling gig for Philip Plein. She got all dressed up in shorts, a cropped jacket and blouse and was made to walk the plank in the name of fashion. Lilo didn’t look too keen on actually walking on that diving board though. She sort of crawled along it and posed with handbags while sitting down. Then Linds got changed and happily posed for shots on terra firma at the Villa Serbelloni in Bellagio Italy.

After all that “work,” it was time to go out on the town. So LiLo did yet another costume change and headed out into the Milanese evening with designer Philip Plein. He is very excited to have Lindsay be the face of his collection. He said in a press conference that Lohan is, and I quote, “…a beautiful, highly acclaimed actress and model.” Really? Highly acclaimed actress? That’s generous.

Another day, another Lindsay Lohan incident…just as bizarre as the previous ones. So, in case you cared, Lindsay reportedly has a new beau, Dream hotel owner Vikram Chatwal. Thing is, Vikram has an estranged wife who happened to be in town from India with their daughter, and Lndsay wanted her to know that she’s the new lady in charge:

“Lindsay found out Vikram was hosting a dinner at the Dream, and turned up with a friend at the hotel’s Electric Room, waiting for him. That’s when the trouble started. Priya was very dignified, but Lindsay was so rude. She acted as if she’d had no idea Vikram was married, and tried to make it clear that Vikram was her friend. Others had to step in to calm things down.”

Lindsay has been staying at Vikram’s house and is believed to have even moved her hairdresser in.

However, she was told she had to leave a few days ago before Priya returned to the US top avoid any unpleasantness.

The source added: “Vikram’s father Sant Singh has tried to order Lindsay out numerous times. Vikram’s family worry that Lindsay is bad news and want him to stay away from her.”

Vikram and Priya married in a lavish seven-day ceremony in 2006 and although they later separated, the pair have remained close.

Lindsay’s representative Steve Honig has denied the actress and Vikram are romantically close, saying: “Vikram and Lindsay are good friends, and there is absolutely no romance going on between them.”
