A screaming match broke out between Lindsay Lohan and her new bad-boy-toy, Calum Best, at the Soho Grand on Monday night.

Sources told Page Six the “screamfest” started in the penthouse and ended up in the lobby. “Calum’s clothes were torn, and after a few minutes, they got back into the elevator and went back to their room,” said one onlooker.

Lohan and Best were first spotted together last week at a Nylon magazine party at Tenjune and then seen frolicking in the Bahamas. Lohan seemed unfazed by reports of her British beau canoodling with another girl in the islands Friday night - but Best’s raunchy behavior at Cipriani Downtown on Sunday might have sent her over the edge.

Our spies saw Best “collecting numbers from all the models” every time Lohan’s back was turned. On Tuesday, it was Lohan’s turn to make Best jealous. He followed her to Stereo for the Bloody Social concert where she spent more time with her friends. One of Lohan’s male pals was overheard saying, “All her friends wish Calum would go back to London. He’s just using her.”

Lohan’s rep had no comment.

Things are heating up between Lindsay Lohan and Calum Best – literally.

The actress and the British TV personality spent a romantic weekend in the Bahamas, where they celebrated the opening of the Cove Atlantis on Paradise Island with parties, sunbathing and lots of PDA.

The couple, who also got affectionate at a party in New York City a few days earlier, arrived in the Bahamas on Friday evening in time to catch a poolside Janet Jackson concert alongside John Travolta, Rob Lowe, Whitney Houston, Spike Lee, Michael Jordan and Tyra Banks.

Sitting with friends in the VIP area, Lohan and Best danced to Jackson’s 20-minute set of greatest hits and wrapped their arms around each other to watch a fireworks show over the Caribbean resort’s white-sand beach.

After the concert, the pair moved on to the after-party at the Aura nightclub, where they shared several kisses in a VIP booth. While most of the partygoers left Lohan, 20, and Best, 26, alone, music legend Quincy Jones stopped by the table for a chat.

“[Lindsay is] a good girl,” Jones told PEOPLE the next day. “She’s very young, but she has a good head on her shoulders.”

On Saturday, the couple spent several hours in a private cabana on Cove Beach. As the temperatures soared, Best rubbed sunblock on Lohan’s shoulders before they headed into the water for swimming, splashing and still more kissing.

That evening, they returned to Aura, where they sat in the same booth as they had the night before. “They seem to have had a wonderful weekend,” says an onlooker. “They’re enjoying their time in paradise.”

But the movie really belongs to Ms. Fonda and Ms. Lohan, actresses whose formidable skill is often underestimated and overshadowed by off-screen notoriety. Ms. Lohan in particular has been subjected recently to the prurient, punitive gaze of an Internet gossip culture that takes special delight in the humiliation of young women with shaky discipline and an appetite for fun.

The joke in “Georgia Rule” is that she is playing a version of her tabloid persona: a needy, reckless young woman whose self-confidence verges on self-destructive. The surprise is that she does it with such poise and intelligence. As written, Rachel is complicated to the point of contradiction: lost child, femme fatale, brainiac and brat squeezed into a series of short dresses. Somehow Ms. Lohan connects these disparate, clashing elements into a single convincing performance.
