Chapter 27 (otherwise known as the movie Jared Leto got insanely fat for)- the new film about John Lennon’s assassination - has been branded an insult to the music legend’s memory. J.P. Schaefer’s movie - which depicts the former Beatles’ murder in 1980 by deranged fan Mark David Chapman - premiered at the Sundance festival on Tuesday after allegedly being rejected by other film festivals.

Fox News reporter Roger Friedman saw the movie and has blasted Schaefer for tarnishing Lennon’s memory. Friedman said: “J.P. Schaefer has managed to kill Lennon again. He’s also made a boring, un-releasable movie that no one will ever see. Most of the audience struggled to remain awake during the film’s lethargic 90 minutes.”

Friedman brands Jared Leto’s performance as Chapman as “inert”, claiming the “once promising” actor “plays Chapman as a blob in tinted sunglasses”.

He also accuses Chapter 27 of plagiarising J.D. Salinger’s novel The Catcher in the Rye, from which the movie takes its name. Chapman was carrying the 1951 book - which tackles such themes as the portrayal of sexuality, teenage angst and alienation - when he was arrested immediately after shooting Lennon and referred to the 27th chapter when police interviewed him.

Lindsay Lohan also appears in the film and Friedman claims she is wasted as a Beatles fan with a minor role in the film. He said: “She’s better off in rehab than wasting her talents on this junk.

Lindsay Lohan was so worried her appendix would be sold on eBay she kept it in her freezer. The Just My Luck star was convinced her removed organ might fall into the wrong hands so she asked hospital staff to preserve it so she could take it home for safekeeping - putting it in a jar and freezing it.

Now Lindsay’s close friend Kimberly Stewart - the daughter of singer Rod Stewart - is trying to persuade her to sell her appendix anyway. A source said: “Kimberly thinks Lindsay should auction it for charity herself.”

Lindsay, 20, is currently being treated for alcoholism at the Wonderland Center rehab clinic. She is only allowed out of the clinic during the day to attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and film her latest movie I Know Who Killed Me.

Lindsay Lohan has checked into rehab, she said in a statement Wednesday.

“I have made a proactive decision to take care of my personal health,” the star said in her statement. “I appreciate your well wishes and ask that you please respect my privacy at this time.”

A source close to the actress says: “Lindsay is in a very positive frame of mind and is looking forward to making a positive change in her life.”

In December, a rep for the 20-year-old actress told PEOPLE that her client was attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. Later that month, Lohan revealed that she had been in AA for a year, and said she generally feels better when she’s not drinking.

“I was going out too much and I knew that, and I have more to live for than that,” she said.

Prior to December, however, Lohan dismissed critics who said she was partying too often. In November, she told Oprah Winfrey that she is not a party girl, adding, “Is it a crime to go dancing with your friends?”

Over the summer, James G. Robinson, CEO of Morgan Creek Productions blasted the star for being absent from the set of her movie Georgia Rule and blamed her “heavy partying” for the behavior.

Lohan’s mother Dina quickly shot back, saying the media mogul was “way out of line.” Lohan was briefly hospitalized at the time for being “overheated and dehydrated,” according to her rep.

Lindsay caused some drama the next night… Star is reporting:

Maybe Les Deux should start charging Lindsay Lohan rent for her bathroom use! Friday night at the hot Hollywood nightclub, La Lohan spent twenty minutes in the bathroom angering a large line of people waiting to use the loo, too.

While Paris Hilton was in rare form —behaving herself — Lindsay was full diva hogging the private bathroom all for herself and without any remorse.

“I saw Lindsay walk in and thought she’d come right out but she didn’t, she was in there for like twenty minutes!” says a source. “People started getting mad. Twenty minutes is just unacceptable. You should just go in and out because you know people are waiting. But not Lindsay.”

Ten minutes into Lindsay’s bathroom lockdown, the line of revelers turned into an angry mob. They wanted Lindsay out!

“These girls got so mad they started kicking the door and yelling nasty names at her like ‘Bitch’ and ‘Slut,’ but Lindsay still did not come out. So selfish!” Finally, after the eternal twenty minute wait, Lindsay came out — without an apology.

“Instead, she pointed her finger at everyone and looked everyone in the eye and asked, ‘Which one of you said ‘F**k You?’ That is just not OK!’”

The eyewitness described Lindsay as behaving “like an eighth grader fighting back, when she should have let it go and moved on.”

When the restless crowd started laughing at her, Lindsay’s turned red. A girl yelled, “Firecrotch!” and Lindsay got visibly upset.

But keeping her cool, Lindsay gave a disgusted look to the crowd and said, “F**k you bitches,” and fled the stairs.
