Lindsay Lohan’s estranged father Michael has issued a press release begging to be able to rejoin the family - but spelled the starlet’s name wrong. Michael Lohan is currently battling with his ex-wife Dina over visitation rights for the couple’s younger children Aliana and Dakota (Cody), and released a statement appealing for the family to be reunited.

The statement appears on TMZ, and reads, “I look forward to order being restored to the chaos that our family life has become. Lyndsay (sic), Michael, Ali and Cody need stability and both of their parents in their lives. I am anxious to spend time with them and end this cruel, needless separation.”

Troubled star Lindsay Lohan has been dealt another blow - her bodyguard is writing a book about her. The Mean Girls star’s bodyguard of two years, Lee T. Weaver, is writing a tell all tale about his experiences with her. He adds, “I have looked after some of the wildest stars in Hollywood - but never anyone as out-of-control as Lindsay is. “Every morning I’d breathe a sigh of relief she was still alive.” Last month (May07), Lohan was charged with driving under the influence after crashing her car in Beverly Hills, and checked into a rehab facility shortly afterwards.

Lindsay Lohan’s legal problems continue even while she recovers in rehab. The 20-year-old starlet has been sued by Grandeur Inc., which claims the actress crashed into a company van in October 2005.

Lohan was behind the wheel in Beverly Hills when her car collided with a parked van, according to small claims court papers filed May 18. Grandeur Inc. is seeking $3,624.84 in damages, the celebrity news Web site CelebTV.com reported.

A judge will hear the matter on June 20.

Lohan’s spokeswoman had no comment Tuesday.

Troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan has allegedly asked pals to smuggle sleeping pills into her rehab centre, it has been claimed.

Starlet Lohan recently entered Malibu’s Promises clinic for a 30-day stint after a highly publicised car crash.

But Lindsay is not taking her rehab seriously, the National Enquirer magazine claims.

“Lindsay managed to keep her Blackberry and is texting her friends - begging them for sleeping pills,” an insider told the Enquirer.

“She’s just playing at getting sober.”

Lindsay, 20, has reportedly complained to her friends that she can’t sleep in the clinic, but they have so far refused to co-operate.

“She was supposed to share quarters, but she insisted on having her own private room,” the pal added.

“And while group therapy is a huge part of substance-abuse recovery.

“Lindsay went only once and then refused to return.”

Another pal insists that Lohan is using her time at the clinic to plan her 21st birthday bash in Las Vegas.

The actress reportedly plans on taking over a whole floor at Caesars Palace casino for her party in July.

“Lindsay’s using her month-long stay to plan her 21st birthday party, scheduled to take place days after she’s released,” the friend claimed.

“Lindsay’s number one priority is her birthday bash - and she’s not planning a sober party.

THE mystery brunette posing sexily with a knife at Lindsay Lohan’s throat in photos that ran in yesterday’s New York Post is Vanessa Minnillo, who might have a hard time getting a new job because of the risqué party pictures.

One of the photos from last summer shows Minnillo pulling down Lohan’s tank top. Another shows her with face upturned, eyes closed and lips parted, as if about to kiss the wild child, who is now 20 and in rehab.

Minnillo, 26, was host of MTV’s “TRL” and New York correspondent for “Entertainment Tonight,” both Viacom shows, until her contract expired in April. The former date of Derek Jeter and current girlfriend of Nick Lachey did not renew with either show.

Last week, she co-hosted the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico City with Mario López without incident. But the beauty is gaining a bad rep in the TV industry for her diva-like behavior at work and hard partying outside the studio.

While friends of Minnillo insist it was she who decided not to renew the contract with “ET,” insiders say her bosses at CBS Paramount soured on her when she covered the Grammys in February. Minnillo was not assigned to the Academy Awards in March.

When producers flew her to Los Angeles to cover the Grammys, “she was extremely high maintenance,” said one source. “She insisted they fly her own hair and makeup people and her personal assistant out with her every time she flew to L.A. She only flew first class and stayed at the Four Seasons, and then she didn’t want to work.

“Vanessa wants to be a celebrity, not interview them,” said the source. “She wouldn’t conduct post-show interviews because she wanted to party. She expected to be paid a full-time salary for a part-time job.”

Page Six spotted Minnillo at one of the fall fashion shows changing seats for 15 minutes until she was satisfied. She’s been known to bark orders at cocktail waitresses and cause scenes when she goes club hopping at night.

In April, we reported that Minnillo had moved in with Lachey in Los Angeles, where she’s hoping for a movie career.

A rep for Minnillo denied any “diva behavior” and told Page Six, “She chose to leave ‘ET’ because her contract ended. This is the first I’ve heard about any bad behavior.”

Dina - who has ridden the coattails of her eldest daughter, Lindsay, for years trying to become famous - is in talks to do a reality show with E! tentatively titled “Mom-ager,” in which she’ll try to turn her youngest children, Ali, 14, and Cody, 11, into stars.

An insider fumed, “Can you believe that? She totally messed up Lindsay by making her a ’star’ and living vicariously through her - and now she’s going to do the same to the other two? How the [bleep] can E! do this? Those kids should be in school having normal lives, the life that Lindsay didn’t get to have.”

Dina, who refers to herself as “the white Oprah,” has been trying for more than a year to get an on-air TV job. She most recently appeared on “Entertainment Tonight” to give the show “exclusives” with troubled Lindsay - once when she was in the Wonderland rehab center and the other time at the “Georgia Rule” premiere.

Dina failed to return our calls and e-mails, and so did reps for E! and Lindsay.

Meanwhile, Lindsay is at the Promises rehab center in Malibu and “may stay for more than a month,” a friend said. That might not sit well with the man claiming to be her lawyer, Mike Heller, who is promoting her 21st-birthday party in July at Pure.

A Lindsay friend says, “Mike Heller claims he is her lawyer, but he is not. Blair Berk and Jason Sloane are. He arranged for this party at Pure and got paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for it, and now won’t call it off. He says Lindsay doesn’t want him to - of course, she doesn’t. She’s turning 21 - but if he really cared about her, he would cancel it. A girl just out of rehab should not be hanging out at Pure.”

The friend added, “[Heller] is treating her birthday like a carnival - he’s selling tickets to the public and insists on telling media outlets that the party is still on and speaking for her. Her lawyers are thinking of getting an injunction against him.”

Heller, who is a lawyer, told Page Six that he’s not Lindsay’s lawyer, but repeatedly referred to her as “my client.” He said:

“I care about Lindsay, but it’s her decision whether or not to have her party, and she wants one. I am not selling tickets, and I don’t need her to line my pockets. I have my own money. I already got paid by the club, so I don’t care if it’s canceled or not.”
