Lindsay Lohan’s relationship with estranged father Michael Lohan got even uglier on Nov. 4, when Michael released a series of secretly recorded audiotapes of conversations he had with Lindsay and her mother, Dina. But now Michael is doing an about-face. “I will not release another audiotape about Lindsay,” he tells Life & Style, claiming he leaked the tapes only to pressure Lindsay — who he fears is abusing prescription drugs — into a rehab facility. “I did it because I wanted Lindsay to know how I felt when I heard that tape. When I get a phone call at 2, 3, 4 or 5 in the morning from my daughter and she’s in dire straits, I get very concerned.”

On one recording, a hysterical Lindsay claimed, “No one cares about me.” On another, Dina talked about Lindsay “cutting herself and hurting herself,” while another disturbing recording exposed the troubled 23-year-old’s apparent secret fling with Heath Ledger, who died of a drug overdose in 2008. Dina was livid after the tapes were released, saying, “The tapes were from a long time ago. For a father to stoop this low is unforgivable.”

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan was dating Australian actor Heath Ledger when he died claims her mother, Dina Lohan.

According to a report on gossip website RadarOnline, Lohan’s ‘downward spiral’ was sparked by the overdose death of Ledger last year. Lohan also reportedly attended Ledger’s memorial in the US.

‘She was dating Heath when he died,” Mrs Lohan tells Lindsay’s father Michael Lohan in the recording posted on gossip site RadarOnline.com that leaked the news.

‘I don’t know if you know that, but I know, cause I would drop her off and they were friends. Very, very close, okay?’

Mrs Lohan also claims in the 2008 audio tape that Lohan’s relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson came out of Ledger’s death. ‘That f—-d her up,’ Mrs Lohan says. ‘And right after that is when Samantha was around.’

The actresses mother also implied that she feared Lohan would follow in Ledger’s footsteps and suffer some sort of accidental death caused by an overdose. ‘When she’s drunk or takes an Adderall with it, she will do something like Heath Ledger did in a second without thinking,’ she says on the tape.

Lindsay Lohan’s mother Dina has sparked fresh fears for the actress’ health in a newly-released phone conversation with her ex-husband – confessing the star self-mutilates.

Michael Lohan has waged a bitter family battle after releasing a series of tearful phone conversations earlier this month, in which Dina voices concern for the actress’ well-being.

In the latest leaked phone conversation, the Lohan matriarch confessed fears the Mean Girls star had engaged in a dangerous self-inflicted habit of “cutting”.

She says, “Her cutting herself and hurting herself? Yeah, it’s bad Michael, it’s bad.”

Referring to an impending tragedy, she adds, “I know that it’s going to happen… I will feel it’s all your fault, that’s how I will feel, it’s not about me,” to which Michael retorts, “I will feel like it’s everyone else’s fault.”

Michael Lohan claims he’s leaking the calls with Dina, Lindsay and her former assistant Jenni Munro in a bid to convince his daughter to seek help for an alleged drug addiction.

A thin-framed Lindsay Lohan was spotted crying during an outing at LA’s Crow Bar.

As the 23-year-old actress — in leggings, strappy stilettos and a black jacket covering a dotted blouse — exited the club around 2:30 a.m., she covered her face.

By Saturday, she seemed to be in better spirits, squeezing in some retail therapy at West Hollywood boutique Church.

The actress is currently in a war of words with father Michael, who continues to release disturbing old taped phone calls of his daughter unless she goes to rehab.

One 2008 conversation includes words from Lindsay’s mom Dina about her struggles to get their daughter to go to rehab.

“She’d like, punch me in the face, kick me out of the car … like you don’t know the [expletive] I went through,” Dina says.

Lindsay fired back on her Twitter page late last week.

“Its so sad that I even have to share this w/everyone, but I haven’t had a real relationship w/Michael Sr. in years. That is the truth. Xox,” she Twittered. “I just hope I can show others how to be strong through times & to be able to stand up for yourself and loved ones no matter what!”

She also called him a “loser,” adding that “Those recordings are from years ago. To release personal things is foul enough, but to edit them….”

Michael Lohan has blasted his daughter Lindsay for alleging he threatened to kill ex-wife Dina at the height of their marital problems, blaming her reported drug addiction for making her delusional.

The born-again Christian has been fighting a public battle to get the Mean Girls actress into counseling to beat her rumoured problems with prescription medication.

Lindsay and her mum Dina have repeatedly denied the claims, even after Michael released desperate phone messages from his daughter to the media to prove he wasn’t making up the drama.

The actress unleashed a bitter tirade against her estranged father on her Twitter.com page on Thursday, in which she detailed her troubled early years, before her parents divorced.

She wrote, “He’s a deadbeat dad. He’s disgusting to do this. He doesn’t deserve attention. He needs help… She (Dina) blames herself for staying (with) him for so long, I’d beg her not to leave (because) he always threatened to kill her if she did…after disappearing, then coming home after being gone for several days while cheating on my mother&abusing substances… I haven’t had a real relationship (with) Michael Sr. in years. That is the truth.”

But Michael is refusing to take Lindsay’s accusations lightly and claims her floundering career is God’s way of punishing her for her alleged drug abuse.

He tells the New York Post, “That’s a lie. I guess Lindsay is on more drugs than I thought to say something like that… No wonder why God is taking her entire career away from her. Because she’s forsaken everything He’s given her and she’s done nothing but misuse all the gifts she’s given.”
