Lily Allen has had it tough, with suffering a miscarriage and splitting from her boyfriend, Ed Simons, and then launching a television show that no one is really watching. Thankfully, she has found a shoulder to cry on, none other than Harry Potter’s Ron Weasley, Rupert Grint.
Lily has become pretty friendly with Rupert since splitting from Ed Simons and was recently spotted leaving a post London restaurant with him.
A source said: “Lily met Rupert at the Order Of The Phoenix premiere last year where they swapped numbers and have texted each other quite regularly. She told him she was a bigger fan of Ron than Harry himself and they hit it off well, although they kept in touch rather than met up at first.
After Lily’s split from Ed things changed. Rupert offered Lily a shoulder to cry on and she’s taken it.
“They get on really well and he makes her laugh.” Last week they enjoyed a Japanese meal together in north London. Rupert drove Lily to the restaurant in his black Mini and sheltered her from prying eyes.
“She has seen a bit of Ed lately and wanted to have a heart-to-heart with Rupert. They did have a really long and intense talk, but also lots of fun, too.”
“Lily got upset when people recognized them so Rupert protected her. She likes that.
I think they would make a weird couple. What about you?

Lily Allen has fueled speculation of a reconciliation with ex-boyfriend Ed Simons, after the singer was spotted wearing an engagement ring. The 22-year-old was reported to have split with the Chemical Brothers DJ last month just weeks after the singer miscarried the couple’s baby.
Allen was seen leaving Simons’ London home last weekend, sparking rumors they may have decided to revive their relationship. Now the star has been seen sporting a diamond band on her engagement finger, prompting further reports the couple may be back together. The singer was photographed happily showing off the ring at the premiere of Scarlett Johansson’s new movie The Other Boleyn Girl in London on Wednesday night.

Smile star Lily Allen has defended her new TV show, Lily Allen and Friends, insisting that the studio audience that left halfway through the show was because the recording over-ran.
She was taping her forthcoming program on Friday, but was hit by a string of problems including a broken teleprompter which left her winging it with the aid of cue cards.
It was reported that members of the studio audience were so bored and disappointed with the show that they got up and left before it was over. Lily has accused the media of concocting the story and has insisted that the people who were there may have wanted to catch the last train to go home.
It was all because of the recording time…..That remains to be seen.

Lily Allen is being touted as the saving grace of BBS Three, which producers are hoping she’ll appeal to the internet generation and attract a new audience to the much criticized channel.
Lily Allen’s late night chat show Lily Allen and Friends might not be the huge hit corporation chiefs are praying for.
During recording of the all-important first program, more than a third of the studio audience walked out, saying they were bored and complaining it was “horrible” and “limp”.
One of the fans who walked out said: “Everyone really, really wanted it to work for Lily. She is such a lovely person but all the jokes fell flat and she seemed very nervous. It just did not work.
“I do think she’s got a nice voice but she didn’t sing at all. I think everyone was expecting she would.”
As well as her inexperience, Miss Allen had to fight technical glitches including a jammed teleprompter, which left her reliant on handwritten cue cards.
One guest said: “We were all standing about, getting quite tired.
“She was halfway through her interview with David Mitchell when she seemed to forget the questions and launched into an attack on all the horrible things people had written about her on online chat forums.
“It was terrible. Even David Mitchell had to remind her not to criticize the very people who would be watching the show.”
Another guest said: “We were all told when to clap and laugh but a lot of people, including me, were very uncomfortable. Much of the humor was very limp.”
