Sad news for singer Lily Allen: She has suffered another miscarriage, her rep announced Monday.

“It is with great sadness that we have to confirm that Lily Allen and Sam Cooper have lost their baby,” her rep has said in a statement. “The couple ask that their privacy be respected and that they be left alone at this deeply distressing time. No further comment will be made.”

She was six months along with boyfriend Sam Cooper’s child.

Nearly three years ago, Allen, 25, suffered a miscarriage during her relationship with musician Ed Simons.

Allen has said having children is “ultimately my main goal” in life.

Lily Allen performed at the Big Chill Festival over the weekend, just days after announcing that she is pregnant.

At the festival she announced “Excuse my casual attire but I’m pregnant and this is called the Big Chill. I packed high heels but my boyfriend unpacked them. He told me I’m not wearing high heels onstage. So that explains the jeans and lumberjack look.”

British singer Lily Allen, 25, and her boyfriend Sam Cooper, 32, have just announced that they are going to be parents!

“Lily Allen and Sam Cooper are very happy to confirm that Lily is expecting their first child,” her rep said in a statement to PEOPLE. “Lily’s professional commitments will carry on as normal, including a scheduled performance at the Big Chill this weekend.”

The exciting news comes more than 2½ years after she suffered a miscarriage.

In May, Allen told a British radio show that having children “is ultimately my main goal in life and more of a priority than flying around the world jumping up and down on stage singing songs.”
