Leona Lewis is fuming after an album of songs she recorded before she won the X-Factor is set to be released, according to reports.
The Bleeding Love singer laid down the vocals on ten tracks before she won the U.K. talent show – but left her label UEG when she was signed to Simon Cowell’s company Syco.
And now the label are set to release the untitled album in October – and will be in direct competition with a re-release of the star’s official debut album, Spirit.
A source tells British newspaper The People, “Leona made it (the album) before she was famous and didn’t expect it to come back to haunt her like this. The album was finished in 2006 and due for release that year. Then Leona won X Factor and all communications between her and UEG stopped. There were attempts to release the album throughout 2007. But they were blocked immediately after signing the record contract with her current label. But now they have won the right to release it.”

Jordin Sparks wants to record a song with Leona Lewis – despite losing out in their chart battle.
Sparks’ track No Air was kept off the top spot in the U.S. by Lewis’ Bleeding Love.
But she has no ill feelings over the defeat – and insists she would love to team up for a duet with Lewis.
Sparks says, “I met Leona right after she won The X Factor. We were recording in the same studio in the States and we got to hang out. It was cool because we both understood what the other one was going through and so shared a bond. I’m really proud and happy for her – even though Bleeding Love kept No Air off the No 1 spot back home. I haven’t seen her for a couple of months but maybe we could do something together one day. There are a lot of people I’d love to work with and she’d be one.”

Leona Lewis is reportedly in talks to follow in the footsteps of Kate Moss – by designing a fashion collection for British store Topshop.
Moss struck a deal with the U.K. retailer in 2006 which sees her design two clothing lines a year for the fashion chain.
And now Lewis looks set to follow suit by launching her own collection – she is reportedly meeting with Topshop owner Sir Philip Green later this month.
A source tells British newspaper The Sun, “Philip and Leona have a dinner booked in later this month. They have fitted it in after he returns from Ibiza and before she heads back to the States. He knows she is emerging into one of the world’s top pop stars and wants to discuss her doing her own Topshop range. She’s a beautiful girl and a huge star but also has a great girl-next-door quality that means her style will appeal to lots of young women. Leona is really excited.”
Lewis, a vegetarian, has previously said she would like to design a line of non-leather bags and shoes that are affordable and animal-friendly.

British singing sensation Leona Lewis is reportedly set to score a huge $2 million fee for any future personal appearances – putting her in the same league as legendary former Beatle Paul McCartney.
The Bleeding Love star has enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame since winning U.K. talent show The X Factor in 2006 – and can demand huge amounts of cash to perform intimate gigs for wealthy fans.
The star has been offered a $2 million personal appearance fee to play a small set for an unknown bidder, according to Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper.
A source tells the publication, “Leona is one of the most sought after stars around. She has little say in the fee charges – big money sponsors literally name their fee and her management respond accordingly.
“She is adamant much of the profit goes straight back to her favorite charities.”
Lewis, who has hit the top spot in both the U.K. and U.S. album charts with her debut LP Spirit, is reportedly worth $12 million – but gives most of her money away to charity organizations.
