Adding insult to injury (literally) Eddie Cibrian was injured on the set of ‘The Playboy Club’ last night – same day NBC announced they were canceling the show. You may be asking yourself why he was filming, even though the show was canceled. Apparently the cast and crew will continue filming until October 10 in the hopes that another network will pick the show up.

Eddie was rushed to the hospital last night after suffering a foot injury while running down an alley in Chicago. According to LeAnn Rimes, his wife, he suffered a major cut to his right Achilles. She wrote, “My husband is hurt…stitches in his Achilles! going home…..nurse Le on the red eye Running down stairs… It’s not pretty…he is (OK)…. but he’s messed up,” and when asked by a follower if he was on crutches she replied: “no just HUGE stitches….when it rains it pours, but that means NOTHING but bed tmrw ”

LeAnn Rimes‘ new album, ‘Lady & Gentlemen’ released on September 27th. LeAnn’s going back to her country roots on the new album, with a batch of country cover songs.

Before the album was released, LeAnn called it an “art record”, which to me, doesn’t sound like a winner. But she claims to be happier with this album than any other album she’s released in the past.

For the concept album, Rimes recorded a batch of songs that had previously been cut by men, reinterpreting them from a woman’s perspective. Waylon Jennings‘ 1968 hit “Only Daddy That’ll Walk the Line,” for instance, becomes “Only Mama That’ll Walk the Line.” Many of the songs on the album have never before been recorded by a woman.

“A lot of people have said this is such a ballsy move, and I never thought about it that way,” she says. “I thought I was just thanking these men for their influence [while also] taking these songs and making them mine.”

LeAnn goes on to talk more about her marriage to Eddie Cibrian, her family, and her addiction to Twitter. The girl does have a Twitter addiction. Check out some of her latest bizarre Twit Pics!

“Success is great. Awards are great. All of that’s wonderful,” she says. “But as a happily married woman with stepchildren, my family comes first now and career is second, to be honest. [But] juggling it all is a chore.

“We want to make sure the kids know they’re loved and taken care of and they are a priority, but it’s also incredibly hard,” she says of managing parental responsibilities with her touring schedule and Cibrian’s production schedule for “The Playboy Club,” which shoots in Chicago.

“We’re new at this,” she says. “We got married in April, so we’re learning, but raising the kids is the most important thing, and making sure they have a stable life is really important to us even though we have very unstable lives. … We have our moments of craziness, but we also have moments of peace.”

Rimes fuels some of the tabloid interest herself by living her life out loud on Twitter, which she jokingly admits to being addicted to. In the eight hours prior to an interview with MSN Music, she’d already logged more than 50 tweets, joining a total of more than 31,000 tweets she posted since first joining the social network. She currently has over 180,000 followers.

“It is a great way for me to honestly open up and talk to my fans,” she says, explaining her obsession with Twitter. “What do I have to hide these days? I’m completely transparent.”

For that same reason, Rimes says she doesn’t shy away from media scrutiny anymore.

“We take it day by day and we don’t hide. We can’t,” she says of her life with Cibrian. “If people want to write about my weight or what I ate or didn’t eat today, or where I went to the gym, that’s their deal. I can’t control it. What I can control is the music that I make, and this

Sure, LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian cheated on their previous spouses with each other, but the now married couple are living in bliss and laugh off the rumors and comments that people make about their relationship. Ok, so LeAnn and Eddie’s ex-wife Brandi Glanville had a bit of a Twitter was while LeAnn was dating her husband, but LeAnn thinks it’s ridiculous that people claim she’s trying to be Brandi from her wedding and honeymoon destination:

“You have to really take the high road a lot of the time when you want to stand on a mountain and scream like, Why are you saying this?”

“We’ve always put his kids first. We took the kids into consideration with everything that we do. Sometimes you just want to scream. But you don’t. We’ve learned to let it go and laugh at it, at the end of the day.”

“We’re happy, and we’re married. … I think we have both come to a really good place in our lives. And right now, I’m really at peace.”

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian have had a rough year (poor them). Married in April of this year, the two are constantly hounded by negative press, because, well, they were married to other people when they fell in wuv.

LeAnn sat down with Ellen Degeneres, in an interview that will air today (Thursday) to “clear the air” and hopefully clear their name.

“We made decisions that were not necessarily the right ones,” she begins, “but it obviously brought us to the place where we are now. And, we’re happy and we’re married.”

“It happens,” LeAnn continues. “I will always say, it could’ve been handled a lot better but maybe we both didn’t have the tools at the time to do it properly.”

As for their respective exes, Rimes’ former husband recently re-married and seems to prefer to keep mum on the subject. Cibrian’s ex is the newest cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and is unfortunately quite a bit more vocal. In her Monday debut, Brandi Glanville refers to Eddie as the “Number one douche bag of all time.”

Regardless of what people might have to say on the matter, Rimes says the best thing she’s learned to do it simply “let it go and laugh at it at the end of the day.”

LeAnn Rimes has been taking some heavy hits in the press when in comes to her weight and waif figure, but her husband Eddie Cibrian has come to her defense, claiming that it’s nothing but hard workouts and healthy eating that keeps her so thin, not an eating disorder.

“I know she’s healthy — she eats more than I do sometimes!

“She eats pretty healthy, but she works out pretty hard too, and she actually takes pride in the way she looks,” Cibrian told the show. “It’s a shame that people will jump on the bandwagon just because she is fit — and she’s far from unhealthy.”

“[She] works out like crazy… she works out hard. She boxes. She trains.”

E! host Giuliana Rancic told The Huffington Post she thinks the How Do I Live singer “lost a lot of weight from all the stress in her life” and “seems a little thin right now and… looks great when she’s a bit curvier.”

Shortly after Rancic made the comment, Rimes shot back with a tweet, echoing Cibrian’s sentiments about how her body is the product of hard work, not starvation.

Rimes tweeted: “@GiulianaRancic hey, we should go to dinner sometime. You get criticized all the time for how small you are. You can see just HOW much I eat and maybe put a stop to this crazy ‘shrinking’ once and for all…..oh, & then we should work out together!”

While at Fashion Week this week LeAnn Rimes said Herve’s signature bandage wrap dresses make her feel sexy. As for how she’s keeping herself in shape?

“Nothing over the top,” she told me. “I box. I’m always running around and working, so that’s a good one!”

Country singer Leann Rimes‘ new video will feature homeless teens from Chicago, Illinois.

The Blue hitmaker recently partnered with the Stand Up For Kids organization, and she’s helping spread the word about the homeless problem among youngsters in America by including many of them in the promo for her new song Give.

In a post on her website, Rimes writes, “My life is forever changed from this experience. One thing they all said to me is no one looks them in the eye when they see them on the streets, so there’s a deep loneliness there and a feeling of almost not existing.

“I will now always look anyone who’s homeless in the eye and smile. That smile could make their whole day.”

I know her smile could make my whole day. Ugh – barf. I can appreciate her trying to do something for homeless teens, but I’m sooooooooooooo over this girl and her cheatin’ husband. I just don’t know what it is – but I can’t stand them! Sure, maybe I have a double standard… but hey – Brad at least ended things proper with Jennifer before hooking up with Angelina. (It’s what I choose to believe – okay!?)
