Tom Cruise is livid over Leah Remini's Scientology claims

Now that Leah Remini has told the world just how weird Tom Cruise and the Church of Scientology are, it appears that Tom is miffed at the actress. Well, miffed probably isn’t a strong enough word to describe how he feels about her, but he is definitely freaking out after her book and press tour made the rounds.

An insider said, “He thinks it’s a major betrayal.”

Tom won’t actually address Leah’s claims publicly, one source says – or take legal action after she talked about his crazy antics to anyone who would listen. She told the media that he wanted to play hide and seek on the grounds of his home and how he blew up at assistants over cookie baking ingredients that were right in front of his face.

The source said, “Leah is what the church calls a ‘suppressive person,’ so she’s evil in his mind. He wipes the memory of any SP out of his life. He’s letting the Scientology people discredit her.”

Other sources have said that Tom actually does want to talk about everything in a sit-down interview with Oprah Winfrey. He’s said to be fed up with Leah’s allegations against him and the church and he wants to do something about it.

An insider said, “He’s worried that a more hostile journalist would try to paint him in a bad light.”

Tom Cruise celebrates Scientology despite Leah Remini’s book revelations

Tom Cruise celebrates Scientology despite Leah Remini's book revelations

Leah Remini’s book was just released last Tuesday, but quotes have leaked out ever since late October about her dealings with the Church of Scientology and its main member Tom Cruise. She said in excerpts that Tom was like a child who was never told no, he liked to play hide and seek on the grounds of his home and he yelled at staff members over cookie dough.

Now that she has written a book disparaging the religion, the Church issued a statement basically saying that she was using her experiences within the church to keep herself relevant. Despite that, Tom Cruise was pledging his allegiance to the religion at a Scientology summit on the weekend of October 23rd.

Page Six reports:

The gala, which Scientology brass say was attended by more than 7,500 guests, celebrated the “sweeping accomplishment and spectacular triumph” of the group’s “impact as a planetary force for the humanitarian uplift and social betterment.” Leader David Miscavige gave a three-hour speech and gave out the church’s “Freedom Medals,” and the event included a black-tie Patrons Ball.

Images on social media showed Cruise on the scene. Gabriela Guncčíková, of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, who performed at the event, posted a photo of Cruise on Facebook with a caption written in Czech stating she was at a “charity event” where “I was met by a very great actor and we talked. Super man.”

In another shot, Cruise poses in a tux with a Freedom Medal winner. The pics were first noted by Scientology critic Tony Ortega, who posted on his blog, Underground Bunker, that “there’s plenty of evidence that Cruise is just as dedicated to Scientology as ever,” and, it was “the first time we’ve seen Tom actually inside the IAS party since he was awarded his own medal — the Freedom Medal of Valor — back in 2004.”

We’re guessing that they have basically ignored Leah at this point. She’s been declared an SP and now they won’t even acknowledge she exists. Perhaps the people who have shunned the religion could make up their own sect in which they weed out the bad parts – like the Tom Cruise and celebrity worship?

Leah Remini and Paul Haggis reveal Scientology has a punishment center

Leah Remini and Paul Haggis reveal Scientology has a punishment center

Former members of the church of Scientology, Leah Remini and Paul Haggis have revealed that the church actually has a punishment center – or a “jail.” Interesting…and scary!

According to a report from Page Six, practicing yoga was forbidden in the church and there have been many other celebrities who have left the church quietly:

First, practicing yoga was not allowed. Remini, 45, explained the church feared “it would mix the practices of the religion.”

Haggis, 62, who left Scientology in 2009, confirmed rumors of a jail. He said he knows of one punishment center called the RPF, Rehabilitation Project Force. The sheer mention of the facility made Remini laugh, adds the site.

According to the Daily Mail, Haggis said there are many celebrities who quit the church that few even knew were practicing Scientologists. But added that he and Remini were the only two who have publicly discussed their experiences. He declined to name any former members.

Of course, during the interview, Leah and Paul banned the use of cameras and any other recording devices. Does anyone have a guess as to why? Are they afraid the church will come after them?

Leah Remini talks Kirstie Alley, Tom Cruise and John Travolta

Leah Remini talks Kirstie Alley, Tom Cruise and John Travolta

There are still so many reports trickling out now that Leah Remini has unveiled her new book “Troublemaker”.

Basically, we already know how she feels about Tom Cruise and the church of Scientology backing him in everything he does. In other interviews, she also talked about Kirstie Alley and John Travolta.

First, there is a silly story floating around that Tom invited a bunch of celebrities over to his home in Los Angeles and wanted them to play hide-and-seek together. She said, “I can’t play – I’m wearing Jimmy Choos.”

To that, Tom replied, “Well good. So you’re it, then.”

She said that she stayed put, but Tom ran off to hide in his nearly “three acres of secluded land.”

She told her husband Angelo Pagan, “Uh, Angelo, you’re going to go ahead and do this, because I’m not doing it. I’m not trying to play a f**king game of hide-and-seek in five-inch stilettos.”

She said, “You didn’t just say no to ‘Mr. Cruise’ even when it came to little things.”

On the topic of Kirstie Alley, she said that she understood the backlash. When Leah first came out swinging against the religion, Kirstie called her a “bigot.”

She said, “I understood it. I understood it because I know the policy. I understand that hiding behind, you know, religious bigotry is the route to go.”

Leah went on to say, “I know why she thinks she’s angry with me, and I know, again, hiding behind that veil is something that is per policy. They see me as an enemy. I respect her beliefs and that it works for her and you can also respect somebody who was in the church for 30-plus years who maybe had a different experience.”

On the subject of John Travolta, she had nothing but good things to say. She revealed, “John is such a sweet man! He loves the technology of Scientology. He believes in it. Here’s the problem with parishioners. I was going to my friends, going, ‘Hey this is going on. Let’s fix it. Let’s make it right’ and they would just turn their backs on me.”

She added, “They didn’t want to get pulled into a security check at their expense of, ‘Why are you going on the internet? Why are you listening to Leah?’ You couldn’t even get the parishioners to speak up for their own organization.”
