Lauren Conrad was/is wise beyond her years!

According to TMZ, the former Hills star spent $3.74 million on her 4,300 sq. ft. 6-bedroom, 5-bathroom Brentwood mansion this week.  Mazel tov, Miss Conrad! I’m sure your boyfriend William Tell will be thrilled to have new, roomier digs!

The 27-year-old’s new home is two stories, with a new kitchen, huge backyard and a basketball court (hmm, new hobby?). You may know it’s remodeler, “Flipping Out” star Jeff Lewis. Rumor has it, Conrad still has Hills money, and that- along with her fashion career- makes her as rich as ever.

I’ve always like LC, but hearing that she’s acting sensibly with her cash (looking at YOU, Heidi Montag) makes me like her even more! Thoughts?!

Forget The Hills and Laguna Beach! Lauren Conrad‘s trading in reality star fame for…something a bit more normal!

Lauren and boyfriend William Tell are happily cohabitating, and Lauren has him to thank in part for her simple life!  Says Conrad about their day to day lives:

“Honestly, he studies all weekend and I’ve been working.”

Sounds delightful!  But you can’t take all the fashion and glamour out of LC…

“He’s just a jeans and T-shirt guy, which I like. [But] sometimes I’ll buy him clothes and sneak them into his drawer.”

You crafty little vixen! We love you- you’re just the right mixture of glam and REAL!

“On the vacation to Cabo, I wore a bathing suit on the beach for the first time in years. Usually I’m just petrified. A couple of years ago someone zoomed in on my cellulite and it was so mean. I took it really personally. I haven’t worn a bathing suit in L.A. in years because of that.”

On her dating life…

“I wish I dated as much as people thought I did! It’s really funny because almost everyone that I’m reportedly “dating” is a friend of mine. About half my friends are guys, and I’ve always gotten along really well with guys. You just have to laugh at it.”

What really happened on the reality TV sets…

“During shooting, the producers would send us quick text messages telling us what to talk about. They couldn’t walk through the shot, so they’d just text me, like, “Say something quick about this story line.” That’s why we were always checking our phones!”

On her friendships The Hills…

“The show is what brought a lot of us together, and when it was gone, we didn’t have anything in common anymore.”

On what keeps her grounded…

“For me, the best way to stay grounded is to surround myself with friends and family who knew me way back when. There’s nothing like cleaning my mom’s dishes or taking out the trash to remind me that I’m no different than anyone else.”

Lauren Conrad and “Dancing With The Stars” pro Derek Hough made their reported fling a public affair last night at Trousdale Lounge in L.A., People reported, and they weren’t a bit shy about it. Though the second rumored “Hills”/”DWTS” crossover couple were coy when rumors started circulating earlier this month (E! reported that there was something going on), they were anything but while out with friend Lo Bosworth.

And she just keeps on going and going and going!

Reality princess Lauren Conrad is at it again. Not only is LC the current cover model for Allure magazine, but the style guru has just launched her very own style website: TheBeautyDepartment.com

The website is a collaboration with her personal hair stylist and makeup artist.

The 25-year-old is well on her way to becoming quite the style mogul: She has two clothing lines LC Lauren Conrad, which is sold at Kohl’s, and Paper Crown, which began rolling out to buyers this February, plus she’s worked with the cosmetic brand mark and has a three-book contract and the New York Times-bestseller stamp of approval. Do any Google search and you’ll see countless articles turn up about her signature look: black winged eyeliner, flowing tresses and a California-chic wardrobe. And since the star released her own book Lauren Conrad Style last fall, she, along with beauty entourage Kristen Ess and Amy Nadine, will have plenty of material to work with.

LC has always been my favorite out of all of the stars from ‘The Hills’… she’s always up to something, whether it’s mastering fashion, glamming up her beauty, hosting events, writing books… and chasing boys (lol)…
