Eccentric singing Lady Gaga recently did an interview with Asia’s Star TV, saying that without music and being able to creatively express herself, she would die, choose fame over love:
The multi-Platinum pop superstar, asked whether she would pick fame or love if she could only have one, said, “I would choose my work.
“I would die without it and I could never be reborn … my biggest fear is missing out on a creative idea because of a lack of time.”
“I’m supposed to be [lonely,] I am an artist. We wallow in loneliness and solitude our whole lives in search of the answer to hundreds and millions of questions that run through my mind.
“Yes, I’m lonely. But I’m married to my loneliness.”
With the support and help of her Little Monsters, Lady Gaga has announced that she has been scheduled to be opening the MTV Video Music Awards.
“I have a really big announcement,” The Edge Of Glory singer said, flanked by hundreds of fans in New York’s Times Square Thursday. “But I thought as usual, instead of me announcing it, I’d let the Little Monsters do it for me.”
At that point, her fans unfurled a huge banner that read: “GAGA TO OPEN VMAs!!!”
“It means the world to me,” Gaga, 25, said of the gig. “I just feel really blessed every day. I have the most amazing fans.”
Last year Gaga took home eight VMA awards where she famously wore the ‘meat dress’.
This year Lady Gaga has 4 VMA nominations. She is up for Best Female Video and Best Video With a Message for Born This Way; and Best Art Direction and Best Choreography for Judas.
The MTV Video Music Awards will take place at the Los Angeles’ Nokia Theater. It is set air on MTV and also MTV.com on Sunday, August 28 at 9/8c.
I am sure whatever she does to open the VMAs, it will be a good show. Are you going to watch this year?
Forget Thursday! I’ve got the video today! I don’t know how long it’ll last before it’s taken down – so watch while you can!
I’m going to watch it now (wanted to get it posted before it was removed)…so refresh for my comments in a sec…
WHAT – THE – HECK.
This video makes absolutely NO SENSE.
I feel like she just wanted to throw a whole bunch of random crap into one very strange video. Nothing makes any sense! Nothing goes together at all! WTH is this crap?
I’ll tell you what – 6:12 I can never get back.
UPDATE: Gaga caved and posted the music video on her Facebook page herself. She posted the video along with this: “YouAndIVideo. You must love all + every part of me, as must I, for this complex + incomprehensible force to be true.”
She’s so deep.

Would we expect anything less from Lady Gaga? Well, yes, in fact. “Edge of Glory” was the worst music video in history, I swear. From the looks of these stills – this video stands a chance at being good?
You don’t have to wait long! The video is set to premiere on MTV on Thursday!
Lady Gaga has some news for all her Little Monsters. The Mother Monster herself will sit down with MTV News and Sway Calloway on Thursday night (August 18) during “MTV First: Lady Gaga” to premiere her highly anticipated music video for “Yoü and I.” And during her live interview, she’s also set to make another big announcement.
After the video premieres at 7:49 p.m. ET on MTV and Logo, it will appear on mtvU, MTV Hits and Tr3s at 8 p.m. on Thursday. And immediately following the on-air portion, Gaga’s interview and fan Q&A will stream live on MTV.com.
“Yoü and I” is the fourth video off of Gaga’s chart-topping Born This Way. She’s already dazzled fans with high-concept clips for “Born This Way” and “Judas” and then kicked it more lo-fi and old school in her video for “The Edge of Glory,” which co-starred the late Clarence Clemons.
Gaga promised fans that she’ll post a link to the video as her 1,000th tweet. So far she’s posted several hints about the video as she approaches that number. Tweet #993 reads, “Love is a Result. We bare an Unbearable Human Inability: to just ‘be.’ ” It also features a photo of a woman, presumably Gaga, in a white dress, sitting at a piano in the woods. Her next two tweets hinted that the premiere would take place in “Less than a week” and then the accompanying photo was of dirty feet in high-heeled platforms.
Last week Gaga tweeted out single artwork for “Yoü and I,” which featured her male alter-ego, Jo Calderone. Gaga previously teased that the video would include another one of her alter egos, that of her mermaid incarnation, Yuyi.
Gaga shot the video in Nebraska last month and explained that it is about taking a journey to win back the one you love. “The [video is about the] idea that when you’re away from someone you love, it’s torture,” she said. “I knew I wanted the video to be about me sprinting back and walking hundreds of thousands of miles to get him back.”

According to sources, Lady Gaga is apparently planning a collaboration with Britney Spears!
The singer was spotted backstage at Britney’s Femme Fatale concert in Atlantic City over the weekend.
And a source told The Sun: “They sat for around an hour gossiping and talking about collaborating together on a track – Gaga already has two songs in mind.”
Britney couldn’t resist giving a shout-out to her famous fan at the gig, telling fans:
“I have a very special guest here tonight, Lady Gaga is here!” before blowing kisses in her direction, reported the LA Times.
Contrary to rumours of a rivalry, it appears the two singers have a mutual respect for one another.
Lady Gaga penned a few tracks for Britney before she hit the big time.
And the Hold It Against Me singer caught the Monster Ball Tour when Lady Gaga came through LA a year ago.
I think a collab between the two of them would be great!
PS: What’s this I see? Is Lady Gaga dressed conservatively?
