Lady Gaga announced last night via Twitter that she would be releasing a new song today!
The song, “The Edge of Glory” will be released in iTunes around 4:00PM EST. Gaga’s people say that while the song will appear on her new album, “Born This Way”, it will not be an official single. The record will be released on May 23rd.
According to an earlier Rolling Stone review, the new song “merges a power ballad chorus, a disco beat and arena rock guitars, features a lead saxophone part performed by Clarence Clemons of the E Street Band”.
How many of you caught Gaga’s Monster Ball Special on HBO last night? I watched it – and I loved it! You gotta give the girl some credit, she’s a helluva performer!

Earlier today the music video for “Judas” was released, and was quickly taken down by Lady Gaga’s management. Lady Gaga released a tweet saying “Stop leaking my motherf**king videos”. (The tweet has since been removed.)
Rather than fight it – Gaga opted to go with it – and released the official music video (in much better quality than before) on her You Tube page.
Earlier this morning, the music video for “Judas” was leaked online and everyone (myself included) quickly posted it. The video is being taken back down quickly, so you’re lucky if you saw it this morning!
Lady Gaga quickly tweeted: “Stop leaking my motherf**king videos”, but the tweet has since been taken down.
‘Judas’ is the second single from Gaga’s new album ‘Born This Way’, which comes out on May 23. The video will technically premiere tonight during ‘American Idol’. You can see a 7-minute version of the video on E! tonight!

Lady Gaga’s controversial music video for “Judas” has leaked online, hours before it was set to release during ‘American Idol’ tonight.
The song/video has caused much uproar due to it’s religious tone. Here, there’s a biker with a crown of thorns, washing “Jesus’” feet and Gaga wearing a Virgin Mary cloak – amongst other things.
The video starts out with Lady Gaga riding on the back of a motorcycle driven by Jesus, who’s wearing a crown of thorns. Jesus and Judas – played by Norman Reedus – get into a fight in a biker club. Gaga gets into a tub with Jesus and Judas, where she washes both their feet. The video ends with her being flogged.
Creepiest part of the video I thought was when Gaga pointed the gold gun at Judas’ face, and pulled the trigger – and a red bullet slowly emerges – and turns out it’s lipstick! She smears the lipstick on Judas’ face.
Lady Gaga will be releasing two music videos for “Judas” on Thursday. A short version, and a 7-minute version. The shorter version will appear during ‘American Idol – and the full video will premiere on E! at 7:00 EST.
She has been tight-lipped on the concept of the video, but has made a few comments. She will appear as prostitute Mary Magdelene, and ‘Boondock Saints’ actor Norman Reedus will play Judas Iscariot, both from the Bible.
The video will mark Lady Gaga’s directorial debut.
“Judas” fell out of the Top 10 to No. 12 after a short run in the top category. It is the second single from her forthcoming album “Born This Way,” due May 23.
Lady Gaga gave a world premiere performance of her controversial his ‘Judas’ on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and even took the time to answer a few questions and drop some wisdom:
“Love yourself. Love who you are. You’re all you’ve got.”
Ellen responded: “That’s all we have. All we all have is each other.”
Haha! Ellen congratulated the singer on or her biggest honor to date:
“Congratulations if this is true, indeed, that you are the godmother of David [Furnish] and Elton [John]’s new little boy.”
Lady Gaga confirmed the news, saying:
“Yes, that is true. He’s so wonderful. He’s so beautiful.”
