ELLE pretty much nailed it with their first first Women in Comedy issue, because nothing says contemporary comedy like the NEW GHOSTBUSTERS! Very exciting. The new issue (on newsstands June 21st) features spreads and individual covers of Kate McKinnon, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, and Melissa McCarthy, as they talk about the most anticipated (and perhaps controversial) comedy of the year, Ghostbusters—in theaters July 15.

Check out these covers and let us know which one is your favorite! And how excited are you for this MOVIE?!?!

John Goodman Will Never Talk To Kristen Wiig Again

CinemaCon 2013 - 20th Century FOX Press Conference

John Goodman fangirls out like the rest of us, and I LOVE IT.

During his interview on The Howard Stern Show, the actor shared a story about when he tried to introduce himself to Kristen Wiig…and how horribly it went:

“She was talking to somebody else, and I was just – I think she’s so great, and the social barriers broke down and I interrupted the conversation,” Goodman, 63, confessed, adding, “And I would just hate for somebody to do that to me. And she goes, ‘yeah, I’ll talk to you in a minute.’ [makes sound of bomb dropping] It was like the Atom. I shrunk down to Atom size. I really like her, and it was embarrassing, so I’ll never speak to her again.”

Goodman’s a self-professed “Hollywood outsider,” as evidenced by his experience hang out with his Monuments Men costars Matt Damon and George Clooney.

“I tried to hang with them, but Matt and George would always have these conversations, and they’d go out for cocktails afterwards,” Goodman said. “I don’t really drink, and I don’t bring a lot to that party because they’re super A-level guys.”

But, the dude IS tight with new Oscar winner Brie Larson!

“I love her. She is so charismatic. She would organize – she was like the only girl there, on set… every weekend she would organize stuff to do for people,” he said of his Kong: Skull Island costar. “We’d go look at kangaroos and she’d organize a trip to an amusement park after they closed. Just stuff for people to do. Because she’s over-sensitive about people getting nervous and angry and on each other’s nerves. She’s incredible.”

Hmm, weird. I never thought of John Goodman as an outsider, but maybe he is. Or maybe he’s just playing it up for Howard Stern. What do YOU think- is he as awkward as he seems?

Kristen Wiig signs on to star in ‘Anchorman 2’!

Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell certainly have great chemistry, that was very clear when they hit the stage together at the Golden Globes earlier this year. Now, Kristen has signed on to join Will in ‘Anchorman 2!’

Director Adam McKay made the announcement via his Facebook page on Monday night, simply stating: “Kristen Wiig is officially on board for Anchorman 2. Couldn’t be more excited.”

The sequel to the 2004 smash “Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy” will also feature the hilarious returning cast of Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Paul Rudd, Steve Carrell and Dave Koechner.

No word on what Wiig’s character will entail, but we’re pretty sure we could watch her read a phone book and still be thoroughly entertained.

The newest flick isn’t scheduled to hit theaters until December, but if you’re in need of a quick Ron Burgundy fix now, watch below to re-live the moment when Ferrell (as Ron) announced the sequel on “Conan.”

I have a confession. When ‘Anchorman’ came out, I didn’t find it funny at all. In fact, I really didn’t see what all the hype was about – at all. But over the years I’ve seen it several times, and it really grew on me. I’m THRILLED to hear that Kristen has joined the cast for the second film, it’s the icing on the cake. She’s one of my favorite female comedians – if not my #1 favorite.

Who’s excited for ‘Anchorman 2’!?
