So what happens with Kim Kardashian‘s ex-boyfriend and her new fiance bump into each other at a West Hollywood nightclub? A whole lotta ice cold glares and awkward avoidance.

That’s exactly what happened when NFL star Reggie Bush, who Kim dated for three years until March 2010, and Kim’s NBA fiance, Kris Humphries, ran into each other at the Skybar Tuesday night (May 24).

A source claims that Reggie stayed within his own circle:

“He was pretty quiet and tame and kept to himself. He mostly spoke to the promoters that he is already acquainted with.”

Kris arrived 15 minutes after Reggie, and was seated in the same VIP area:

“Kris was pretty much standing in front of Reggie’s table, yet they never came into contact or ever spoke. Once Kris got there Reggie didn’t move from his table at all. He was on his phone the entire time until he left.”

Awkwaaaaard. Although the run-in was pretty much inevitable, I call complete and utter fail on the Skybar for seating them so close together.

Kim Kardashian’s engagement news isn’t half as shocking the gargantuan size of her new engagement ring!

The ring given to her by fiance Kris Humphries is worth approximately half of what her Beverly Hills mansion cost her. Sources tell TMZ the ring cost $2 million dollars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ring — designed by Lorraine Schwartz — features a 16.5 carat emerald cut center stone flanked by two 2-carat trapezoids … for a grand total of 20.5 carats.

We’re told the stones are all “the highest clarity and color.”

The Kardashians are blowing up Twitter and their personal websites with the news of Kim Kardashian getting engaged. Khloe posted this on her website just a few minutes ago:

You have no idea how happy it makes me to be able to say this… KIM IS ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG! It feels soooo good to finally let the secret out. We’ve been holding this in since last week! LOL. I had no idea I could keep such a big happy secret quiet for so long! Ha!

Kim Kardashian is engaged, and managed to keep the secret long enough for the People cover to come out! She just posted the cover on her website, along with: “OMGGGGGGG!!!!!!!! It’s true! I couldn’t be happier! Thank you guys for all of the sweet messages!!! I finally found my missing puzzle piece, I’m complete!”

Kim and New Jersey Nets forward Kris Humphries have been dating for six months, which I guess is a long time if you consider sister Khloe Kardashian’s quick engagement!

Kris proposed a week ago on May 18, when 26-year-old Humphries surprised 30-year-old Kim in her Beverly Hills home. When she walked into her bedroom, he was there – on bended knee, with rose petals spelling out “Will you marry me?”

“I didn’t expect this at all,” the bride-to-be told People. “I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now.”

Take a look at that shocking ring!! It is a 20.5 carat custom-designed Lorrain Schwartz diamond engagement ring!

“I just knew I wanted it to be big,” Humphries told the mag. Looks like he was successful!

The surprise was pulled off—as all Kardashian surprises seem to be—with help from mama Kris Jenner, who was in on (the other) Kris’ plans and who had planned an intimate celebration for the immediate family later that night.

“Kris really didn’t want a big celebration, but he had jokingly told my mom he’d be fine if there were mini-horses there,” Kim said. “Later that night, my mom brought out two mini-horses, covered in glitter, for us! It was hysterical!” (Sweet and all, just don’t let Pink hear you.)

No wedding date has yet been announced, though if we can learn anything from the past, it’s that it will not only not be kept secret, but will get a special place in our hearts. And our TiVos.

“YIIPPEEE SO HAPPY!!!!!” Jenner tweeted this morning of the news that she would once again be made a mother-in-law. “PALEEEEEZE GIVE ME MORE THAN 9 DAYS!!!!!!!! I AM BEGGING…..”

Kim’s sister Khloé Kardashian Odom (she of the infamous nine-day advance wedding prep) also wasted no time in publicly congratulating her sister.

“I can’t believe I was able to keep this a secret but now I can scream all I want about it! Kim is engaged!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!

“Kimmie I love you so much!!!! I would do anything in the world for you!!! Seeing you this happy in your life makes me smile daily! You deserve this happiness! Get excited baby!!!!! We r about2 celebrate!! Kris welcome 2the fam! Just so u know, u married all of us!”

Not to be left out, Kourtney Kardashian also got in on the excitement, tweeting, “My sister is engaged!!! I’m squealing with excitement! The princess has found her prince. I am so happy because @KimKardashian is happy!”

The Kardashian sisters have landed in New York City yesterday, and wasted little time getting to work! They were out early this morning in Times Square!

Khloe showed off her very long legs in this denim romper and sky high heels as the pair made their way to Times Square. She tweeted, “up and getting glammed with @KourtneyKardash for The John Frieda event in Times Square. Who’s coming??”

The Kardashian ladies are never ones to stray away from a bold fashion statement. Is Khloe’s choice a fashion hit or miss?
