The cast of Sex and the City: The Movie were rocked by a security scare while they were visiting London to promote the new film - when a man sneaked into Kim Cattrall’s hotel suite.

Cattrall was conducting a press junket at the city’s prestigious Claridge’s Hotel along with castmates Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis when a crazed fan, posing as a foreign journalist, reportedly sneaked past security.

The man managed to get through several security checks to access the floor where all four actresses were staying. He then found his way into Cattrall’s room, where he is said to have cornered her alone - frightening the actress with his “erratic behavior”.

A source tells London newspaper Metro, “He was alone in a room with Kim Cattrall and began pestering her for autographs. She was very flustered, and it was lucky someone walked in and spotted him as his behaviour was getting more and more erratic.

“Hotel staff ordered him to leave but he didn’t go quietly. They bundled him out as quietly as possible but Kim was pretty frightened. The other girls found out what had happened and were also freaked out. But they’re old pros and they didn’t let it affect their schedules.”

Kim Cattrall dreaded returning to the set of Sex & the City for the TV show’s movie adaptation - because she feared that, at 50, she wouldn’t be sexy enough.

The 51-year-old actress was blamed for causing delays in the movie version of the hit TV series, reportedly demanding more money and creative control over the project.

But Cattrall admits it was, in fact, her lack of confidence as an aging Hollywood star that prevented her from immediately signing on to the project.

She needed reassurances from director Michael Patrick King before signing on to play sex siren Samantha Jones again.

She says, “I was quite nervous because it had been four years and I had turned 50. We did camera tests because all of us (cast) have aged. I worried about being sexy enough again. I said to Michael, `How can we do this? I want to look great and not feel self-conscious.’ And he always said, `We are going to take care of you.’”

The mother of Sex & The City star Kim Cattrall loves her daughter’s racy role in the hit show - because she “looks fabulous” on-screen.

The star is famed for her portrayal of maneater Samantha Jones in the beloved series, and returns to the character in the upcoming big-screen extravaganza, Sex And The City: The Movie.

And the 51-year-old is comfortable showing her sexual side on-screen - and has the support of her adoring mum Shane, who thinks her daughter is an inspiration for older women everywhere.

She says, “Kim is a role model for 50-something women. Much has been made about her nudity in the film, but I think she looks fabulous.”

And proud mom Shane, 79, insists people who criticise Cattrall’s on-screen antics are just jealous of her well-preserved body.
She adds, “Anyone who knocks that is jealous. All this fuss about a bit of nudity is ridiculous.”

Sarah Jessica Parker holds no grudges against co-star Kim Cattrall, who held out from shooting the Sex and the City movie for years because she wanted more money.

“If I had thought it was any of my business at the time, what I would have said is, ‘Isn’t it okay for Kim to think the money wasn’t right?’” Parker says in the new issue of New York magazine.

She added, “Perhaps [Kim] was some kind of emotional psychic, because this way we made a better movie.”

Speaking of money, Parker shot down a reporter’s theory that her character Carrie Bradshaw has an attraction, conscious or unconscious, to Big because of his big bucks.

“I really don’t think money was a criteria [for their romance],” Parker insists. “It never would have occurred to her to take money from a man.”

What did attract Carrie to Big? He doesn’t care about her shoe obsession!

In the movie, Big buys her a new pad, complete with a huge closet.

“The closet was spectacular,” Parker tells Entertainment Tonight. “For her, the closet is the heart of the house.

“That’s what’s promising about Carrie’s relationship with Big,” she adds. “He doesn’t care [about her love for clothes] — he doesn’t judge it.”

She wouldn’t say whether Carrie weds in the movie, but admits, “we went through 40 or 50 dresses and did fitting after fitting after fitting. They literally came from every continent!”

Parker says the movie — out May 30 — is about “love, silliness and also sadness and loss and disappointment.

“[You see] how friends are necessary and how at a certain point, no one can fix [your problems] but yourself,” she adds. “That’s the difference of where Carrie is now and where she was in her 20s.”

Kim Cattrall had to apologize to Daniel Radcliffe after accidentally going public with the Harry Potter star’s romance.

In an interview with TV Guide magazine, the actress revealed she’d given Radcliffe, her co-star in TV movie My Boy Jack, a boxed set of Sex & The City episodes as a gift, after learning the teenager was keen to revisit the show that left him “freaked out” the first time around.

But when she joked, “You’re waiting for your girlfriend to watch it with you, right?”

Radcliffe had to correct her, stating, “My friend! Yes.”
Horrified Cattrall offered, “Your friend. Sorry, sorry. sorry.”
Radcliffe confirmed the ‘friend’ both were talking about was his Equus co-star Laura O’Toole.
