According to a new lawsuit, Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian might be on the hook for more than $200 million for not tweeting and/or promoting a beauty line with their own name on it. Again, it all seems very weird seeing as these sisters will hawk anything when there’s money in it- diet tea, waist trainer…all of it.
Hillair Capital Management claims it invested more than $10 million to save the Kardashian sisters’ struggling cosmetics line, “Kardashian Beauty” after their former business partner went belly up and now, they want answers (in the form of money). TMZ reports:
The Kardashians originally partnered up with a company called Boldface in 2012, launching a makeup line called “Khroma Beauty.”
Problem was … a year later, a judge blocked the company from using the name “Khroma.” The girls changed the name to “Kardashian Beauty,” but Boldface started tanking.
A savior stepped in … Hillair Capital Management, buying out Boldface and sinking $10 mil into the business.
Hillair now claims the Kardashian girls didn’t hold up their end of the bargain by blasting out the virtues of “Kardashian Beauty” to their millions of followers.
Hillair wants its $10 mil back plus what they would have made … up to $180 mil.
There’s GOT to be a reason that the Kardashi-klan didn’t promote this…I wonder if they already knew they’d be bested by Kylie Jenner‘s lip kit and a million other products they like better. Maybe the makeup is gross and cheap. Or hey, maybe they forgot. Not like a bunch of million dollars is That big of a deal to America’s first family.
Well, they certainly aren’t getting kicked out of restaurants NOW.
On Wednesday’s episode of Kocktails With Khloé, Khloé Kardashian got her drink on with Lisa Rinna, YouTube personality GloZell Green, Straight Outta Compton‘s Marlon Yates Jr., and Rush Hour‘s Kirk Fox.
Despite the diversity of guests, the focus of the episode was still on Khloe (OBVIOUSLY), and how her fam dealt with the media scrutiny after the O.J. Simpson trial.
It turns out the Kardashian klan were discriminated against father Robert Kardashian‘s involvement in the trial…so much so that they were frequently pulled over, their cars were keyed, and they were kicked out of restaurants.
OH THE HUMANITY!
Check out the klips of Khloe talking life after O.J. below, and let us know if you think she was TRULY discriminated against.
On Monday, KoKo wrote a candid message about (you guessed it) BREAKUPS on her personal website. While the reality star didn’t address her recent break with boyfriend James Harden directly, it’s clearly her being depressed about HIM. She said:
“When you break up in the public eye, it’s almost like you have to go through it twice: privately and publicly. I’ve been there, for sure, and it’s hard. You could be having a fight that you don’t necessarily want your family or friends to know about, and then all of a sudden it’s like the whole world knows your business. It’s humiliating. There’s so much that you want to keep private, just for the sake of your own pride, and when details get out to the tabloids or whatever, it’s like pouring salt into an open wound. It definitely makes it hard to close that chapter of your life.”
She also kinda takes back the thing about him not being monogamous. Well, not in those words but like, this definitely seems like nobody did anything THAT bad:
“You don’t need a huge scandal for things not to work, either. I actually think it takes more courage to move on if there’s not a concrete reason you broke up. I wish people would realize that a breakup doesn’t always mean cheating or abuse – sometimes you just know things aren’t working, and you have to remove yourself from the situation. It takes so much strength to move on without a huge reason.”
