Docs make house call for Britney Spears

Britney Spears

Twice this year already, Britney Spears has made unplanned trips to visit the psychiatric wards at a pair of L.A.’s finer hospitals. So it was a welcome change of pace on Saturday when the head doctors came to visit the pop star in the privacy of her own home.

Sources have confirmed the identity of the two psychiatric professionals — one a court-appointed psychiatric evaluator and the other a doc from UCLA Medical Center, where Brit was treated during the most recent of her hospitalizations.

Thankfully, this was no sort of mental or medical emergency, but a pre-scheduled visit that is being done as part of both Britney’s ongoing custody battle with ex-hubby Kevin Federline and also the court’s investigation as to whether or not the conservatorship should continue.

The judge in the conservatorship case has ordered a full medical and psychological evaluation to determine the singer’s ability to reasonably care for her own medical and financial affairs. This evaluation will play a crucial role in the judge’s decision on how long, if at all, to extend the existing conservatorship orders.

In the custody case, this psychiatric evaluation is one of a series of several court-ordered probes into the individual parent’s parental skills. In addition to the psych evaluation, both Brit and K-Fed will be reviewed on how they behave with the children on their own, how they behave together in front of the children and their lives when the children are not present.

Following Saturday’s visit from the doctors, Brit went to the place that has become her home away from home — Millennium Dance Studios — where the superstar once again taught a group of eager students.

Britney Spears regains visitation rights!

Britney Spears

A judge has ruled that Britney Spears will once again be allowed visitation rights with her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James. Under the ruling, Britney can see her boys in a therapeutic setting, meaning that Jamie Spears and her psychiatrist must be present.

Kevin Federline is reportedly on board with the commissioner’s decision and is, along with lawyers for both sides, impressed at Jamie’s ability to quiet the whirlwind surrounding Britney’s life.

K-fed’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan says that today’s ruling would never have happened if Jamie hadn’t stepped in to stabilize his daughter.

“Obviously this wouldn’t have happened if Jamie Spears wasn’t involved but there’s much more to it than those two people being present,” Kaplan says. “Let’s just say that my partner Jim Simon and I put lots of specific terms, conditions and protections in place that go far beyond those two people being present.”

So how soon will Britney get to see her boys? “Britney very, very soon will be seeing her boys again,” Kaplan says. “At the moment we are waiting for the orders to be signed and faxed by the judge and assuming that we receive that tonight, visitation will happen very quickly.”

Steve-O wants a rap battle with Kevin Federline

Kevin Federline

TV goofball and prankster Steve-O is embarking on a new career as a rapper and has challenged fellow hip-hop wannabe Kevin Federline to a rap battle to prove his talent. The former Jackass star has written a track attacking Britney Spears’ ex-husband for his new album Hard as a Rock.

He says that he wants to set up a lyrical battle with K-Fed, whose own rap career flopped after the release of his 2006 debut Playing With Fire.

Steve-O says, “I’m officially challenging K-Fed to a rap battle. It’ll be just like that scene from 8 Mile! I know that K-Fed has his ‘acting’ career and all, but if he’s a real man, he’ll step up and battle me!”

That’s too funny. Think K-Fed will respond? Or even battle with Steve-O?

Kevin Federline offered $200,000 for an interview about Britney Spears

Kevin Federline

Kevin Federline has been offered $200,000 for an interview, and he’s seriously considering it, sources say.

“Of course he’s been offered as much as a half million dollars for an interview,” the source said, “But he’d have to talk about Britney.”

Kevin has morals everyone. He says that any talk of his ex-wife is strictly off-limits. The source says, “But it doesn’t matter, he can still make some money without talking about Britney.”

Instead of talking about Britney, K-Fed will talk about his “acting career” and his “struggle” as a single father, sources say.

“And about his music producing, which he’s still into. He can talk about fatherhood, without going into all the stuff with Britney. He can talk about everything else, just not his ex-wife directly.”

The source refused to disclose which major cable network has offered up the cash, but K-Fed may be waiting to see if someone will come up with a better offer.

So that stuff I said earlier about him having morals, scratch that. I guess everyone has their price.

Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, and manager, Dan Dymtrow, are reportedly helping him set up the deal, which first came up three weeks ago. “True, $200,000 is a lot of money,” the insider said. “But believe it or not, there could be people willing to pay even more.”

K-Fed allows Britney Spears to see the Sean Preston & Jayden James

Britney Spears

Kevin Federline has agreed to let Britney Spears see their children, but according to sources, only if her mother Lynne okays it first.

Lynne Spears is currently looking after Sean Preston and Jayden James while K-Fed is enjoying New York Fashion Week with Marc Jacobs and Diddy.

My source told me: “K-Fed and Lynne get on really well. He hopes Lynne can bring Britney round to see sense so that she can have some face time with her kids.

“He knows however dazed and confused Brit gets, she’ll always love those two kids with all her heart.”

Kevin Federline in the front row of the Marc Jacobs show

Kevin Federline

Marc Jacobs’ front row tonight was filled with fashionistas such as Victoria Beckham, Anna Wintour. . . K-Fed? The budding actor’s rep confirmed his expected presence at the closing show of Fashion Week yesterday to People, and he turned up to not just Jacobs’ show, but also Diddy’s Sean John line beforehand.

Clad in a Sean John pinstriped suit and a pink shirt — and sporting a mohawk– Kevin Federline came backstage to hug the rap-mogul and designer on the way to his front row seat. Once the lights dimmed, he was off to Marc Jacobs — for a quick change into that designer’s duds and a private banquette, where he sipped water as he watched the models come down the runway. And what did Federline think of the big show? He tells People on his way out, “I thought it was great.”

Kevin Federline puts reality show on hold

Kevin Federline

Britney Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline has shelved his plans to become a TV reality star out of respect for the troubled pop star and her family. The failed rapper is developing a project all about his life as a single dad of the couple’s two young sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James Federline.

Sensitivities have prompted him to rethink the series after Britney was committed to the UCLA Medical Center in L.A. for psychiatric tests last week.

A source says, “Everything is on hold.”

I think the plans are on hold because Britney has to agree to anything that he can profit from while using their children in the plans.
