KFed is not after more money…sure….

kevin-federline-02.jpg

For those of us that thought KFed was after Britney for more money in the way of child support, think again. KFed’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, issued a statement in regards to the rumor of the father wanting more money to spend on himself and parties.

“Every two months, rumors have been raised in the media that Mr. Federline’s lawyers are about to go into court to get more money for child support. Persistent questions are again being raised now in the press about the timing of when that will happen. As I’ve said, I know where to find the courthouse and what to do when I get there. If Mr. Federline had wanted to increase child support, it would be very easy to achieve and would have been requested long before now.”

Kaplan adds, “There has not been and is not now a request before the court for a modification of child support. Mr. Federline’s purpose in bringing this action continues to be one that is based upon the best interest of the children as his highest priority.”

Why do we never hear about his other children?

Everything is not well with Brit and KFed.

wenn16642412.jpg

With Brit and K-Daddy working out who gets the kids on major holidays, it would seem they’re finally seeing eye-to-eye. Not so.

Sources tell TMZ that Britney and K-Fed are at loggerheads over visitation. We’re told that just yesterday, Britney was scheduled to take the kids, but asked K-Fed if he’d trade days so she could shoot her music video during the day. We’re told K-Fed refused and Brit was pissed. She ended up pulling an all-nighter, shooting from around 9:00 PM last night to 6:30 this morning.

Other sources say the reason K-Fed is fed up is because Britney has been like a moving target when it comes to visitation, constantly changing the schedule. We’re told she’s rescheduled the music video three times before finally shooting it yesterday. Federline, we’re told, accommodated her for a while but has had it.

Britney and Kevin: Back to court!

kevin_ferderline320.jpg

Lawyers for Britney Spears and Kevin Federline will be present Thursday morning for an emergency hearing in their ongoing custody battle.

A source close to the case confirms the hearing was called by Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, who’s alleging that Spears has failed to follow drug-testing procedures.

Spears, 25, and Federline, 29, are not expected to show.

“If Spears hasn’t been following drug-testing procedures, ultimately the court could suspend all her visitation rights until she follows court orders,” says L.A. family law attorney Joel Schwartz, who’s not involved with either party. “Her mistakes will stack up against her.”

TMZ.com first reported the story.

The singer must submit to twice-weekly random drug and alcohol tests, and is required to give a urine sample within six hours of being called. The court had specified that a missed test will be considered a failed test.

On Oct. 30, Spears’s visitation rights with her sons Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, were scaled back after her parenting coach was critical of the pop star.

Spears “rarely engaged with [her] children in either conversation or play” during their monitored time together, the coach testified last month.

Court: Spears Must Pay K-Fed $120K in Legal Fees

brits_blog.jpg

A court has ordered that Britney Spears must pay $120,000 dollars in legal fees to ex-husband Kevin Federline for attorney bills he has racked up in his protracted custody battle.

In court documents released Tuesday and obtained by Usmagazine.com, L.A. County Commissioner Scott L. Gordon ruled that Spears pay all but $40,000 dollars of Federline’s October 10 request for $160,000 in legal costs from his ex.

The decision was made based on the former couple’s income petitions — and while “recording artist” Spears claims an average monthly income of $737,000, “self employed performance artist” Federline has previously stated he has no net income after business expenses.

Federline currently receives from Spears $15,000 in child support, and also $20,000 a month in spousal support, which expires on November 15.

In addition to paying Federline’s legal fees, the documents show that Spears has paid her attorneys $225,000 since her divorce was declared final on July 30.

Brit to Kids: I’ll See You Occasionally

66ewqj6.jpg

Commissioner Scott Gordon has given Spears two visits per week, from 12 noon to 7 PM and one overnight visit. The visits will be monitored.

Spears and K-Fed are ordered to figure out holiday schedules with the kids.

Britney must submit evidence that she child-proofed her pool area by Friday.

In his order, the Commish wrote that when Britney has the kids, “the environment at the house ranged from chaotic to almost somber with little communication at all.” The Commish also recounts what the parenting coach complained of — that “during all three of my visits Ms. Spears rarely engaged with the children in either conversation or play.”

The coach also said Spears seemed to have “a lack of general attention at times” but there was nothing she would characterize as “abusive in a traditional sense.”

And then the most damning comment from the parenting coach” “The problem is that unless Ms. Spears realizes the consequences of her behavior and the impact that it has [on] her children, nothing is going to be successful.”

More Britney…..

brit2_blog.jpg

Britney Spears must complete three joint counseling sessions with ex-husband Kevin Federline by their next hearing date of Oct. 26, a court ruled Wednesday.

Documents released Thursday reveal other stricter measures L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon handed down the previous day, particularly pertaining to Spears.

The commissioner specified that “a missed [drug] test, refusal to submit to a test, or failure to respond to the testing agency’s call … shall be deemed by the court as a failed test,” the documents read. Spears, 25, is still expected to complete twice-weekly random testing for drugs and alcohol.

A source told the Los Angeles Times that Spears reportedly slept through two random drug-test appointments. Another time, Spears was unavailable to be tested at home.

Spears was also ordered to complete at least three individual counseling sessions by the next hearing.

With regard to her supervised visitation rights with her two sons, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, “the monitor shall terminate visitation immediately if any conduct or action by [Spears] endangers the minor children,” the documents state.

“Monitored visits can occur anywhere, even at Britney’s home if she wants,” family law attorney Lynn Soodik said. “However, at no time will she be left alone with the kids. Even if mother and child is in the bathroom, or on a ride at Disneyland, the monitor will be there.”

According to court representative Allan Parachini, “Britney’s access to her kids works out to about every other day.” The visits will not necessarily occur consecutively, he said.
The latest rulings were decided after a three-hour, closed-door court  session on Wednesday personally attended by Federline, 29. All orders made on Sept. 17 are still in effect.

Both Spears and Federline are required to attend the Oct. 26 hearing.
