And we totally loved it. Most of you probably went and saw Spiderman, but this movie was really good. I love indie movies, they always seem to be my favorite. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting to really like this movie, but I was pleasantly surprised.
Jenna’s (Keri Russell) secret ambition is to save enough money from her waitressing job to leave her overbearing and controlling husband (Jeremy Sisto). A sharp, sassy woman with a gift for making unusual pies, Jenna’s recipes are inspired by the trials, tribulations and circumstances of her life. An unwanted pregnancy changes the course of events, giving her an unexpected confidence via letters to her unborn baby.
I love Keri Russell. Ever since Felicity, she can do no wrong. She was perfectly cast in this role. Her character seems so real, you don’t even realize it’s acting. Jeremy Sisto (who I LOVE) plays her obliviously cruel husband – and even he is perfect in his role.
If you guys like indie comedies – then you really should check this movie out. It was a really great movie. It makes you want to laugh & cry at the same time.
And it will make you crave pie for days.

In case you missed it, Keri’s pregnant!
From Star:
Actress Keri Russell, 30, is pregnant with her first child, due in the summer, her rep has confirmed to Star exclusively. The father is Keri’s fiancé Shane Deary. The couple, who have been dating for a couple of years, have no wedding plans at the moment.
Love her!
I love Keri, but I’m thinking I might pass on this one. I say “new” because the movie was to be released in March 2006 in Germany. The cannibal that this movie is based on – won a ban on the film which stopped it from being released at all in Germany. Who knows when it will be released in the states.
Plot summary:
In Germany, as graduate student Katie Armstrong (Russell) researches cannibal killer Oliver Hagen (Kretschmann) for her thesis, she becomes obsessed with her subject and ultimately plunges into a lifestyle similar to Hagen’s and the thousands of people like him.
