Pregnant reality star Kendra Wilkinson is working on a memoir.

“I feel like the luckiest girl in the world,” she says in a statement released by publisher Simon Spotlight Entertainment. “I have a husband I adore, a baby on the way, and now my memoir is going to be published!”

The publisher says the book — scheduled to hit stores next summer — will explore Wilkinson’s childhood, her Playboy years (including her time with Hugh Hefner, with whom she split last October), her experience taping The Girls Next Door and Kendra and newlywed life with NFL star Hank Baskett.

“The memoir will be a humorous, relatable, fish-out-of-water tale that captures the spirit of one of the most beloved Playboy cover models in history,” says the release.

Adds Jennifer Bergstrom of Simon Spotlight Entertainment: “Kendra is so genuine and funny that her memoir is sure to be unique, refreshing, and a reflection of the woman so many people have fallen in love with.”

Kendra Wilkinson won’t be tuning in to TLC’s Jon & Kate Plus 8 when the show returns from hiatus Aug. 3.

“We don’t watch that anymore,” she tells E! News. “I watched back when it was good and they weren’t all Hollywood. I feel bad for the kids.”

The 24-year-old reality star — who is expecting her first child with husband Hank Baskett on Christmas Day — previously told Usmagazine.com that she would never allow her new baby to appear on her hit E! show Kendra.

“That will be all private,” she told Us. “I want to be able to spend my quality time with what’s been growing inside of me for nine months!”

On Wednesday, it was announced that Wilkinson and Baskett have signed on to star in a second, 12-episode season of her E! show.

It doesn’t sound like parents-to-be Kendra Wilkinson and her football player hubby, Hank Baskett, will be going all Jon and Kate Gosselin on us.

Kendra says their baby, due on Christmas Day, probably won’t be on camera too much if she and Baskett continue starring in reality television. That is a lesson she learned from tuning in for Jon & Kate Plus 8.

“We don’t watch that anymore,” Kendra tells me. “I watched back when it was good and they weren’t all Hollywood.”

She continued, “I feel bad for the kids. If we do have a show, none of that’s going to happen…I want to be able to spend quality time with my child and not really give the world too much.”

And that includes getting out of Hollywood…

Kendra is packing up her bags and moving to Philadelphia to be with Hank for the upcoming football season.

“I need to get away and hibernate for a little and be a protective mama,” she explained. “I like the energy there. They leave me alone. I feel way more private [in Philly] than here, and that’s what I need.”

But the couple will eventually land back on the West Coast. “We’re going to try to get a house to buy and live in with the baby,” Kendra said. “We’re actually thinking about San Diego County—going back to where I’m from!”

But the California girl is excited about the upcoming East Coast winter. “It’s perfect timing,” she said. “That’s where a real Christmas is. I want to have a real Christmas baby in a real Christmas place.”

So will the newborn be wearing pink or blue? Just because Kendra referred to the baby as David Beckham the other day, that doesn’t mean a little guy is on the way.

“I’m just saying the baby is a kicker,” she said. “We don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl yet. We’ll find out in three weeks.”

Pregnant Kendra Wilkinson — who just returned from a nine-day honeymoon to St. Lucia with new husband Hank Baskett — tells Usmagazine.com she felt her first kick on Monday.

“It was so crazy,” she told Us Tuesday at the Espy Style Studio in L.A. “I was just sitting there and then all of a sudden, ‘Bam!’” I was like, ‘That wasn’t gas!’”

“I got really excited even though it felt weird,” she said. “I was like, ‘Oh my God, something’s in there! It’s healthy!’ Hank is in Phoenix, and I called him right away and was like, ‘I just felt it kick for the first time.’ I just researched on the Internet if you can feel it kick this early. I’m four months and one week right now, and it said I can, so it’s crazy!”

She said overall she is “feeling good.”

“I’m craving a pickle right now — and I hated pickles before!” she said.

She told Us she will find out the baby’s sex in about two weeks.

“I still think it’s a boy,” she said.

The reality star – who starts her Lamaze classes in a month or two — said she doesn’t plan on filming her baby’s birth for her E! show.

“That will be all private,” she said. “I want to be able to spend my quality time with what’s been growing inside of me for nine months!”

Asked how married life is, Wilkinson (who wed June 27 at the Playboy mansion) told Us, “It’s exactly the same [as before we wed]. We loved each other before and we love each other now. I think a wedding was nothing but a celebration of our love.”

Kendra Wilkinson has taken time away from newlywed life to defend a woman’s right to choose … her clothes.

Recently, a blogger posted photos of the Playboy Playmate, 24 – who married NFL player Hank Baskett on June 27 – dressed for the golf course in a micro-miniskirt and tank top, with a commentary about how “Dressing sexy is all about attitude.”

He then suggested a woman should walk around in “a push-up bra and half-shirt … [with] her hands cupped over her breasts.” The post concludes, “I bet Kendra feels the same way.”

Not exactly.

Wilkinson responded with a post on her personal blog, agreeing that “attitude” is important, but adding, “There’s nothing SEXIER than confidence in a woman!!!! Weight doesnt [sic] matter … at the end of the day everybody has a different standard for what turns them on. There are probably tons of men out there that find thick librarians smokin hottt! LOL.”

The former Girls Next Door star, whose first child is due in December, then notes there is a double-standard when it comes to men and women, and jokes, “Maybe men should start walking around with their hands cupped on their junk and tank tops that show off their abs … um, but only if they’re built like football players ”
