Keira Knightley is still promoting her film ‘A Dangerous Method‘.  Keira stepped out tonight in this gorgeous gown for a gala screening of the flick in London, with her handsome co-stars Michael Fassbender and Viggo Mortensen.

Why does Viggo fight the hot so hard? He needs to just stay in his ‘Lord of the Rings‘ Aragorn wardrobe 24/7.  Life would be good.  At least for me.

And Keira just needs to return to ‘Pirates of the Caribbean‘ already and bring Orlando Bloom with her.  #4 wasn’t the same without Will and Elizabeth.  I don’t care how “over” the franchise she is…it NEEDS her.

Seems like we haven’t seen a mainstream Keira Knightley in quite some time. Her last major Hollywood movie was 2007′s ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End’. Since then, she’s gone on to make small, independent movies, and several short films. Her latest movie ‘A Dangerous Method’ got lots of critical acclaim, but I don’t know a single person who saw it.

Keira is still promoting ‘A Dangerous Method’, and as such, she granted an interview with GQ. In the interview she talks about being spanked by Michael Fassbender (oh Lord, if only!), and how Americans are more supportive of her.

It is a dramatic departure from her usual image as the quintessential English rose.

Keira Knightley, more commonly seen in the bonnets and bustles of period dramas, poses provocatively in a series of outfits that leave little to the imagination.

The actress wears nothing more than a low-cut jumper, high heels and blood red lipstick in one shot, while in another, she shows off her long legs as she reclines on a chaise lounge in a 1950s-style swimming costume.

Another of the images, which will appear in the March issue of GQ magazine, shows the 26-year-old modelling a tasselled black jacket as she runs her fingers through her hair.

Perhaps Miss Knightley was getting into the spirit of her latest role in A Dangerous Method, which she almost turned down after telling director David Cronenberg that some scenes were too risque.

She told an interviewer: ‘I said, I love you, I love the script. But I don’t think it’s something I can do, so I might have to turn it down. Once he said he didn’t want it to be sexy or voyeuristic, and as soon as I got my head around the S&M mentality, I said, “Okay, let’s do it”.’

Miss Knightley also spoke about how different the perceptions are of her in both America and her home country.

She explained: ‘The Americans are generally a lot more supportive. They generally like the work a lot more than they do here. It is what it is, I suppose. It could just be that I’m not to a lot of people’s tastes. Which is fine. Well it’s not, obviously. You want to be to everyone’s taste… But, I think it’s better to do your own thing rather than try to please everyone and just be this mushy thing in the middle.. Sometimes it’s like water off a duck’s back, and sometimes it really hurts… and then you go away and cry for an hour or so, and then pick yourself up again…’

‘I’ve always tried to give everything 100 per cent…if you’re not working what are you? You’re lazy. You’re doing nothing and what the **** is that?’ she tells GQ.

The actress has been dating musician James Righton, 28, from the band Klaxons, for almost a year. Her last relationship with Pride & Prejudice co-star Rupert Friend ended in December 2010 after five years.

But she said she is happier than she has ever been with her life right now, adding: ‘I’m actually loving this bit right now – doing the work I’m doing, having the life I can have around it. Right now, it’s really good.’

Miss Knightley also revealed to GQ that she read the work of Jung and Sigmund Freud while researching her latest role.

She said: ‘I vaguely knew it was about sex and blaming your parents. Apart from that I had no idea. So I had to do quite a lot of research to understand what they were talking about and understand where [Sabina] was coming from and the nature of the illness that she had.’

The film, which has its UK premiere tonight, tells the story of a love affair between Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung and his beautiful patient Sabina Spielrein, played by Miss Knightley.

I still really want to see the movie, but I’ll just have to wait until it’s out on DVD.

I generally like Keira, but I have to admit, I only like some of her movies. That movie ‘Never Let Me Go’ was beyond horrible. Maybe ‘A Dangerous Method’ will make me change my mind?

The 26-year-old actress plays Russian psychoanalyst Sabina Spielrein in David Cronenberg’s latest film ‘A Dangerous Method’, in which her character has an affair with psychoanalyst Carl Jung and in some scenes gets spanked by him.

Keira – whose previous roles include parts in ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’, ‘Pride & Prejudice’ and ‘Atonement’ – admits she struggled to get to grips with the role because she had no connection with Sabina’s life.

Speaking at the premiere of the movie at the Odeon West End in London’s Leicester Square as part of the 55th BFI London Film Festival last night, she told BANG Showbiz: “This one was daunting because I didn’t understand it, I didn’t understand who she was or what she was going through … I really had no connection to her at all so it was about not trying to judge any of it, but to join the dots I suppose. So I took about four months just reading as much as I could.”

Keira looked radiant on the red carpet in an ankle-length grey Roksanda Ilincic dress with a cross wrap top detail coupled with black satin peep-toe heels.

But the screen beauty admitted she was struggling to walk in her heels and is always nervous about tripping when she is at glitzy showbiz events.

She said: “I’m crap in heels. I’m realising how bad I am wearing these at the moment, they look really pretty but I’m about to fall over.”

Keira was joined at the premiere by director David, and her co-stars Viggo Mortensen and Michael Fassbender, who play Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung respectively.

I can’t wait to see this movie. I love me some Fassy, and I think it’s going to be really interesting to see Keira in a role like this.

On Friday, Keira Knightley attended the Venice Film Festival premiere of her new movie, ‘A Dangerous Method’. Several sources are reporting that this movie is by far the favorite coming out of the festival. Buzz surrounding the film, says Keira is phenomenal. The movie also stars Michael Fassbender, Vincent Cassel and Viggo Mortensen.

Reaction to Knightley’s performance has been deeply divided — she opens the film in a hysterical state that some have found to be a bit over-the-top, and her Russian accent has been dogged on, too — but I was impressed by the fact that the A-list beauty and perennially underappreciated actress was willing to be so vulnerable on camera (she also has several scenes in which she is partially nude), and I think that she could connect with enough people to score an Oscar nod… that is, if SPC and she are willing to swallow their pride and push her in supporting (which looks wide-open this year) instead of lead (which is absolutely packed). I think this movie looks great! It’s a different kind of role for Keira Knightley!

If there’s one person taking the summer movie buzz by storm this year, it’s Michael Fassbender. The German-born star has broken out in a big way thanks to his smoldering performance as Magneto opposite James McAvoy in X-Men: First Class.

But if you were worried that would be your only dose of the guy with cool to spare, fear not. He’s costarring alongside Keira Knightley in director David Cronenberg’s A Dangerous Method. It’s definitely hot, but because of some friendly, uh, touching, it’s slightly not safe for work. Check it out…if you think you can handle it.

Fassbender plays renowned psychologist Carl Jung in the early stages of his career, working with renowned neurologist Sigmund Freud (Viggo Mortensen). It seems that Fassy’s on the edge of a breakthrough; he only needs that one special patient who is, for lack of a better phrase, crazy enough to reap the benefits of his new, experimental therapy.

Turns out Knightley fits the bill. She wastes no time revealing that past abuse “excited” her and that any possible advances from her trusted therapist would be most welcome. Like any good therapist, Fassbender rationalizes the whole situation: “Why should we put so much effort into suppressing our most basic natural instincts?” Just keep telling yourself that.

Freud is not amused, and all it takes is a few piercing and judgy glances from Mortensen to let us know where he stands on the issue of cavorting with a patient.

A Dangerous Method hits theaters Nov. 11. Does it have you…”excited”?

Actress Kiera Knightley and costar Steve Carell enjoy their time between shots on the set of their new film “Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World” which is filming in Malibu. Also on set keeping the actress company was new boyfriend, Klaxons member James Righton who held hands with the actress and lingered by her side throughout the day.

Plot Synopsis:

Set in a too-near future, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World explores what people will do when humanity’s last days are at hand. Can one man find his greatest love at the worst possible time? As the respective journeys of Dodge (Mr. Carell) and Penny (Ms. Knightley) converge, the two spark to each other and their outlooks – if not the world’s – brighten.

I don’t know how I feel about Keira Knightley in a comedy – and especially opposite Steve Carell. Seems like very strange casting if you ask me.
