Looks like Katy Perry isn’t too upset about this whole divorce business!
The singer typically adds a smiley face to her signature, and oddly enough, she even included it on her divorce papers.
Perry, 27, and Brand, 36, reached a final divorce settlement this week, covering distribution of their property and all other issues.
As Katy Perry and Russell Brand’s brief marriage comes to a wrap, Katy can rest easy. Russell apparently doesn’t want any of her money, even though he’s entitled to nearly $20 million.
Russell’s lawyers filed final divorce papers on Tuesday, but the couple have to wait 6 months before a judge will sign off on it. Sources tell TMZ Russell and Katy did not sign a prenup (seriously, who does that anymore!?). Because there was no prenup, Russell is entitled to half of all Katy’s earnings during their 14-month marriage. Katy made a TON of money during that time (around $44 million) because she was at the height of her California Dreams tour.
But here’s the deal. As one source put it, “This divorce is as amicable as it gets, and Russell was a mensch (Yiddish for a good person).” He doesn’t want Katy’s money. He’s happy to walk away with the money he earned — which is far less than what Katy raked in.
I don’t do sports. I don’t watch them, I don’t follow them, I don’t care. At all. But I might care about Tim Tebow, and believe it or not, I’ve googled him a couple times. I just think the guys is super hot talented, that’s all. Here’s an interesting story, via HuffPo:
The NFL stud who seemed to receive the most attention this Super Bowl weekend wasn’t even playing in the game. The guy who was at the center of every media mob was none other than Tim Tebow.
Waiting on the red carpet at the ESPN magazine event Friday night, you would have thought Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt arrived when Tebow walked through the metal detector and set off a shutterbug frenzy.
Deciding not to do any interviews, but rather just pose for photographers and video crews, Tebow had no idea that the real fan mob would descend once he stepped foot inside the party.
No one was more aggressive when it came to getting the young football star’s attention than “Extra” TV host Maria Menounos. The Tebow enthusiast talked with the player for more than two hours before convincing him to “Tebow” with her.
“I was his first,” Menounos told me the following day. “He told me at the party he had never ‘Tebowed’ with anyone else before, ever.”
From what I’ve read, Katy Perry is all over trying to hook up with Tebow, but Tebow has his sights on Maria Menounos. Katy is trying to catch his eye so badly, she dedicated a song to him over the weekend. Via CNN:
Tim Tebow wasn’t playing in Sunday’s Super Bowl, but you might’ve thought he was by the way Katy Perry kept dropping his name.
The pop star was on hand in Indianapolis, Indiana to play her first U.S. performance since splitting from Russell Brand in December, and E! reports that she also handed out an award at the NFL Honors ceremony on Saturday.
Tebow, who happened to be sitting in the front row of the audience, was called out by Perry, who may have heard the gossip that her parents are trying to set her up with the quarterback. “Hey Tim,” Perry said while handing off the first honor of the night, “my parents say ‘Hi.’”
Tebow seemed to still be on her mind at a pre-Super Bowl event held Saturday night.
According to People magazine, the singer was putting on a nine-song show, and when she got to “Peacock” – you know, the one that starts with the line, “I wanna see your peacock” – Perry told the audience, “This one goes out to Tim Tebow.”
The 27-year-old made no mention of her estranged husband, and was said to be in good spirits, according to People. “She was having the best time, and was in such a great mood,” an anonymous onlooker spilled.

Here are some new pictures of Katy Perry during her first post-split appearance on Friday. Katy’s date to the event in Las Vegas was Markus Molinari, a jewelry designer, and one of the hosts of the charity event.
While it was her first appearance since splitting from husband Russell Brand, Katy was visibly more “quiet” than she typically is at these types of events.
Back in the United States to see friends and support a charity, Katy Perry strolled down a red carpet for the first time since her split with Russell Brand.
The singer rocked her blue hair and donned a cocktail dress with metal studs at the overnight Friday event for Givelove.org, which provides sustainable low-income solutions Haiti earthquake victims.
Markus Molinari, a designer for J. Molinari Jewelry, told PEOPLE that Perry was doing “amazing” and she was in town to support his cause because “that’s what friends do.”
At the event at the 1 OAK club in the Mirage Hotel, Perry hung out in a VIP booth and watched her pal Ferras perform.
“She was really tame,” a source said. “She was really just drinking a few drinks and chilling with her friends.”
Earlier, Perry went to Stack restaurant, joining a table of 18 and dining on steak, seafood and red wine and listening to another performance by Ferras on the piano. Perry was seen clapping, cheering and swinging a napkin the air.
The singer is back from doing shows in the Philippines and Indonesia.
Hopefully Katy gets back on the horse soon! After hearing that Russell is out hooking up with girls all over the country, I want her to move on and find someone new!

Less than a month after filing divorce, rumors are swirling that Russell Brand has started dating and Katy Perry is not happy.
“She discovered through her friends,” an insider tells Usof how Perry found out about 36-year-old Brand’s wandering eye. “One of the women told a friend of hers and it got back to Katy.”
“He’s spoken terribly about Katy to them,” the source says of Brand, who has sought out one particular woman to “explore a relationship” with. “[Russell] told her he wanted her to move in with him after the divorce is final,” confirmed the insider.

Katy Perry has maintained a pretty low profile since splitting from her husband, Russell Brand, in December. She’s just now starting to pop back into the public eye. She’s scheduled to perform in Singapore, and she’ll also perform at a party hosted by Mark Cuban the night before Super Bowl.
According to US Weekly’s sources, Katy is scared sh*tless that Russell is planning on writing about their relationship in his upcoming book. I’ve not read his first two books, but from what I’ve heard about ‘Booky Wook 1 & 2′, he’s an incredibly candid writer, who holds nothing back. Yeah, that might freak me out too if he were my ex!
Whenever Katy Perry gets around to writing material for her third album, she’s got plenty of dark, painful memories to draw from.
As multiple source confirm in the new Us Weekly, out now, her estranged husband Russell Brand didn’t simply blindside her with a Dec. 30 divorce filing; despite public denials from a rep, the British comic, 36, plans to cover all the nitty-gritty, sometimes ugly details of their failed 14-month marriage in an upcoming memoir.
“Katy is insulted and feels betrayed that Russell has treated her so poorly,” a pal to the “Firework” singer, 27, tells Us. “She will never forgive him. Ever.”
Although Perry is in panic mode regarding her ex’s memoir plans, she’s back to work on her ongoing concert tour, commercial shoots and more — and she’s taking pains to “limiting…interactions” with Brand, another source says.
“He’s being so atrocious that she feels like she never knew him.”
I wonder if it’s true he really is a monster these days. The monster her people want us to believe he is, basically.
Maybe it’s ironic that Katy Perry re-released “The One That Got Away” shortly after announcing she’s divorcing her husband, Russell Brand.
Perry just released an acoustic version of her hit single, which is so much more emotional considering what’s going on in her personal life.
On the other hand, Brand appears to be doing just fine! While speaking to an audience over the weekend, he admitted he’s going really well. Good for him.
“Are you asking because of recent events?,” he asked a questioner inquiring about his emotional health. “You are making the mistake of seeing time as linear. The brilliant American author Kurt Vonnegut, he’ll tell you that if you imagine reality as experienced simultaneously, events become redundant.”
