Was Katie Holmes really dizzy? Tired? Pregnant again?

Katie Holmes

Star Magazine would like us to think that Katie Holmes is “cracking under the strain” of being with Tom Cruise….but it’s Star, so we take that with a grain of salt.

Sources say that when Katie was at Joan’s on Third recently, she looked “feeble and emaciated” and gave them a weak smile on their way out. The same source said that Katie almost fainted and had to hang on to her bodyguard to get to her car.

Maybe she’s pregnant?

Or not. I know one thing, she certainly isn’t tired of shopping with Tom’s money.

Katie Holmes in InStyle UK.

katie_3.jpg

On the strength of her marriage to Tom Cruise:

“I try every day to make Tom know how much I love him. It gets better and better. It has made my life.”

“Tom and I stay in really good communication with each other,” Katie says. “I talk to him about anything, at any time. He works 48 hours straight, comes home, and if I ask, “Would you help me with this?” he’ll do it. He wants to.”

On his help during the birth of their daughter:

“I couldn’t have asked for a more supportive human being. He had the room ready, candles everywhere, pictures in frames. It was very homey and beautiful”.

On Suri growing up:

“Nowadays, Suri is talking up a storm, running around, so aware,” says Katie. “She loves colouring and creating. She’s a great mimic and dancer. She came to the photo shoot yesterday and was into all the shoes. I’m mostly shocked at how quickly she grows.”

On the strength of her friendships with her girlfriends:

“It’s so cool when you see women working together, being friends. I like having girlfriends. I went to an all-girls academy for high school and I still have friends from back then. There wasn’t any backstabbing. We helped each other get through school, get through the proms, find dates, make the dress.” The myth of mean girls is overblown, Katie says. “You find out your girlfriend is having a baby or getting married and you want to be there for her. That’s powerful. That’s what we as women do for the world.”

On positive thinking:

“It’s a conscious choice,” she says. “If I don’t like something, I just get through it; I don’t focus on it. I want to make decisions based on what’s best for everyone, including myself. I want to wake up and feel good about who I am. I want to go to sleep knowing I made my family happy, I made myself happy, and I worked hard in all aspects of my life,” she says. “It’s really pretty simple.”

Katie Holmes talks about her ‘amazing’ Tom, motherhood and how being famous got her into trouble at church

katie_holmes_tom_cruise_dinner_11608-01.jpg

Best known for being Mrs Tom Cruise, actress Katie Holmes, 29, first garnered fame as Joey in the hit television show Dawson’s Creek.

Her big-screen credits include Batman Begins, Thank You For Smoking, and Teaching Mrs Tingle.

Katie has a two-year-old daughter, Suri, with Tom Cruise.

ARE YOU MORE LIKE YOUR MOTHER OR YOUR FATHER?

I think I’m a mixture of both. I have my dad’s competitive edge and determination and my mum’s demure side. I hope I’m like my mum in that she’s a person who is at ease with who she is.

She is good at putting other people at ease, too, which is a quality I aspire to.

WHAT MAKES YOU ANGRY?

Let’s see. I do have a lot of patience but I have trouble when I’m driving in traffic. And I don’t have a lot of patience with lateness and stuff like that, but for the most part I can go with the flow.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU LOSE YOUR TEMPER?

I threw a lot of tantrums when I was little and secretly I’d like to throw a tantrum sometimes. That would be empowering, but I have a little girl who likes to do that, too.

WHAT WAS YOUR WEIRDEST EXPERIENCE WITH A FAN?

As you can imagine, there have been many being married to Tom. I was in Boston for my little nephew’s baptism and this girl interrupted the ceremony to ask for my autograph. I thought:

“Great, here I am in church and in trouble again! The priest is going to be mad at me.” That was weird.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE?

Finishing the New York Marathon. It was amazing! Turning the corner when you’re about to reach mile 20 you feel like you’ve been running for days. The guy in front of me told his friend, “Don’t worry. Six more!” I’m thinking, “Six more? That’s like an hour on a good day!”

IS THERE A COUNTRY YOU’VE DREAMED OF VISITING?

I would like to go back to China. I’ve been to Shanghai and loved it.

WHAT’S YOUR IDEA OF HEAVEN?

Falling in love with Tom and our daughter. I’m such a lucky woman. Sometimes I feel like I’m dreaming.

WHAT WERE YOUR DREAMS AS A CHILD?

To marry Tom Cruise! (Laughs)

HOW DID YOU MEET TOM?

We just went on this great date together, and it’s been wonderful ever since. He’s the most amazing man in the world. I’m so happy. I love him. I feel like he’s made my life.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE HIM?

He’s just amazing. He’s kind, generous, smart, he’s Tom Cruise - he’s the most artistic man I’ve ever met.

He makes me laugh like I’ve never laughed. He’s made me feel joy like I never have before. There are so many things. He’s the most wonderful human being I know.

WHO WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE STUCK IN AN ELEVATOR WITH?

Tom and Suri.

WOULD YOU LIKE MORE CHILDREN?

Yes, we would, but not just yet.

HOW HAS MOTHERHOOD CHANGED YOU?

My life feels so more enriched since becoming a mum. I was so into myself before I had children because I had no one else to be into. I just had to take care of me. How can you not be? It is different becoming a mother, it’s all about Suri now.

IS IT HARD TO BALANCE MOTHERHOOD WITH A CAREER?

No, not at all. It’s fun. I find it exciting.

WHAT WAS THE DEFINING MOMENT YOU REALISED YOU WERE FAMOUS?

I landed the part in Dawson’s Creek when I was 18. I had just graduated from high school and I was soon earning a lot of money.

I did what every other 18-year-old girl from my town would do, which was I bought a pair of jeans and a great sweater which wasn’t on sale.

I thought: “Wow. I better not buy anything for a really long time. I don’t want to let it go to my head.”

I was beginning to get recognised on the street and it was at that time I realised my life had changed. I still have the sweater.

ARE YOU VERY CONSCIENTIOUS ABOUT WORKING OUT?

I try. I grew up in an environment full of athletes and unfortunately I wasn’t one of them. My parents are very healthy. We would all go running on Thanksgiving. I mean, what family does that?

DO YOU WATCH YOUR DIET?

I’m like every girl out there, I eat bad things in moderation and I work out.

WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST REGRET?

Personally, I don’t think it’s too healthy to live in regret. I’m a very laid-back person and I try to be positive about any situation.

WOULD YOU RATHER BE RICH AND FAMOUS OR POOR AND ANONYMOUS?

I don’t think anyone really believes they are going to grow up and become rich and famous. I certainly didn’t.

It’s never been about fame or wealth for me. I’ve always been a hard worker. I had my own grass-cutting service when I was young.

I convinced my mum to drag me and the lawnmower around and cut her friends’ lawns. I don’t think I’d ever be poor because of the strong worth ethic my parents instilled in me.
