Katherine Heigl has tried everything to quit smoking. The patch, the gum, even the drug Chantex, which she said made her go “bananas”.
The 31-year-old actress says she’s now smoking an electronic cigarette, the Smokestik. It gives off a water vapor instead of smoke, and isn’t harmful to those around you. It still contains nicotine, so I’m not sure how healthy they are.
Katherine has been trying to quit since she adopted her daughter, Naleigh, last year.
Katherine Heigl stepped out of her NYC hotel this afternoon, carrying an electric cigarette.
Katherine has been spotted lately smoking a silver “Hendu Elite” smokestik while filming the movieOne For the Money in Pittsburgh. The device provides inhaled doses of nicotine through a vaporized solution so users don’t have to take back harmful smoke.
She has battled with smoking, since she began when she was 24. She vowed to quit last year, after she became “a slave” to the habit.
32-year-old Heigl will portray Stephanie Plum, an unemployed lingerie buyer who becomes a bounty hunter to make ends meet. (Hopefully it’s better than Killers!)
Katherine Heigl and husband Josh Kelley have packed it up and left LA for Utah! The happy couple
Kelley, a singer, promoted his new, more country sound in an interview with Us Weekly and shared the news of their move.
Are you in Los Angeles now?
We live up in the mountains in Utah now. Katie rides horses, I do a lot of fishing and golfing, it’s a lot of fun.
How did you find Utah?
Just kind of randomly. It was a dream of Katie’s for years. We got married out there and I just fell in love with it. It’s amazing and one of my favorite places in the world. What we’ll probably do is put our time between Nashville and Utah. When we were in L.A., we were never in the scene. We don’t really leave the house. I stay in my studio and write music all the time…
The only thing I miss about L.A. is the golf course! Other than that, no. I don’t miss the traffic, I don’t miss the fact that our yard was too small for our animals.
Katherine Heigl was happy to be home when she landed at LAX on Friday, June 11th.
32-year-old Heigl was in the UK where she was promoting her latest rom-com, Killers costarring Ashton Kutcher.
Katherine recently told USA Today that she and hubby Josh Kelley would like to make their daughter Naleigh a big sister!
“Maybe we’ll have four or five kids. We’ll see how two go. Two could throw me right over the edge,” Kat said. “We’ve talked about biological children, and we haven’t ruled it out. But I would like to adopt again. It’s a little bit hard for me. If I have a biological child, is there a child now who will go without a mom? But I can’t take them all.”
Katherine Heigl showed up at the UK premiere of The Killers looking like Julia Roberts in Steel Magnolias. I’m not sure why she’s going with the 80′s look, but it’s certainly not doing her any favors.
She just aged herself about 15 years with that hair! Yikes!
But on a lighter note, how awesome is Steel Magnolias! Now I’m feeling the need to cuddle up on the couch and watch it.
The ‘Killers’ actress – who already raises seventeen-month-old adopted daughter Naleigh with her husband Josh Kelley - admits they are thinking about extending their brood further and hope to have another child in the near future.
Katherine revealed: “We would like to have a second child – adopted or biological. We’re not ruling it out.”
The 31-year-old beauty has been inspired to raise a second child by the recent earthquakes in the Caribbean nation Haiti, where the area suffered mass devastation and thousands of children lost their parents.
She told Germany’s Gala magazine: “Just look at Haiti. They’re so many parentless children. It breaks my heart. I want to help.”
While Katherine is keen to lend her support to others, Josh believes an addition to their family would provide “a little friend” for their young daughter.
Although they have no specific plans at the moment, Katherine admits anything is possible because she is so spontaneous.
She added: “I often plunge into things and hope everything will be alright.”
Katherine has always been dedicated to motherhood, and even quit her work on medical drama show ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ so she could spend more time with Naleigh.
