In tinseltown, big, flashy weddings are the norm. Except if you’re Katherine Heigl. The Grey’s Anatomy actress’ December 23 wedding will be “very small and intimate — not like an Eva Longoria or even a Kate Walsh wedding,” a friend of the couple tells Us.

And nevermind those reports that Heigl, 28, and her fiancé, singer Josh Kelley, 27, will tie the knot at her Utah home: “It will not be at Katherine’s house,” says the pal, although “it will be in the Park City–Deer Valley area.”

Invites haven’t gone out yet, but one Grey’s castmate will definitely be there. T.R. Knight “is a brother and a best friend to her,” says the friend. “She wouldn’t get married without him.”

Katherine Heigl is shopping in Brentwood in a comfortable looking dress and shoes. I wouldn’t dress in a gown and heels to go shopping, either.

I’ve never lost my luggage before, but man, that’s gotta suck!
