Kate Winslet looked absolutely stunning in a beautiful red Elie Saab gown last night. The dress showed off Kate’s curves perfectly. Kate definitely had one of my favorite looks of the night!

Kate Winslet poses for the new V Magazine, an issue entitled “The Heroes Issues”. Kate dressed as her hero, Elizabeth Taylor. The gorgeous photos were shot by Mario Testino.
In the interview, she opened up about nude scenes, which she routinely does in her movies:
“I hate it! Listen make no mistake, I just get on it,” she says about baring it all on film. “I just go in and say ‘Oh f&*# let’s do it.’ and boom. If you complain about it or procrastinate it’s not going to go away. Its a profoundly bizarre thing to do. As actors you talk about it all the time. You can literally be tangled in sheets, and you turn to the other actor and say ‘What the f&*# are we doing?’ Dear Mum, at work today I had so-and-so’s left nut sack pressed against my cheek. It’s sort of unethical if you think about it in those terms.”
On her acting career:
“I hope I am sh-tting myself over the characters I play for the rest of my life. Because the day I go ‘Oh yeah, that’s going to be a piece of pie’, why f&*#ing bother? If you do that, you do not learn. I hope I’m always learning something. So I won an Oscar. It’s amazing. I’ve got that for the rest of my life for a performance I am proud of. It nearly killed me. I am really proud of the film. That’s it, moving on.”
I love her! She’s gorgeous!
In her recent feature in V Magazine, actress Kate Winslet reveals that she feels she is the “hypocrite of the decade,” seeing as how she vowed to never again do nude scenes, though she once again showed off her birthday suit in her Emmy-nominated series, Mildred Pierce.
“It definitely makes me the hypocrite of the decade,” she says. “I’m just going to stop saying it.”
“I hate it! Listen, make no mistake, I just get on it. I just go in and say ‘Oh f—’ let’s do it,’ and boom!” Winslet tells V Magazine. “If you complain about it or procrastinate it’s not going to go away. It’s a profoundly bizarre thing to do.”
“As actors you talk about it all the time,” she continues. “You can literally be tangled in sheets, and you turn to the other actor and say, ‘What the f— are we doing?’ Dear Mum, at work today I had so-and-so’s left nut sack pressed against my cheek. It’s sort of unethical if you think about it in those terms.”
The Contagion actress adds that she hopes to always be inspired by future projects. “I hope I am s—ting myself over the characters I play for the rest of my life, because the day I go, ‘Oh yeah, that’s going to be a piece of pie’, why f–ing bother? If you do that, you do not learn.”
“I hope I’m always learning something. So I won an Oscar. It’s amazing. I’ve got that for the rest of my life for a performance I am proud of,” Winslet says of her 2008 Academy Award for Best Actress in The Reader. “It nearly killed me. I am really proud of the film. That’s it, moving on.”

Richard Branson owes Academy Award-winning actress Kate Winslet many thanks for rescuing his elderly mother from a fire that destroyed his Caribbean home.
Branson said about 20 people, including Winslet, her children, and his mother were staying in his eight-bedroom house on his private island in the British Virgin Islands when it was struck by lighting during a tropical storm on Monday.

Branson said no one was hurt. He said in his blog that he wanted to offer “many thanks to Kate Winslet for helping to carry my 90 year (old) mum out of the main house to safety.” He joked that Winslet “was wondering when a director was going to shout ‘CUT!’”
Branson said he was staying in another property around 100 yards (meters) away with his wife, Joan and son Sam, 25.
He said the fire broke out around 4 a.m. during a tropical storm with lightning and high winds, and Sam managed to help evacuate Winslet and other guests from the house. Branson said the guests, including his daughter Holly, 29, all managed to get out safely.
Branson said the house was “completely destroyed” and the fire was not entirely out Monday.
“My office was based in the house and I have lost thousands of photographs which is very sad,” Branson said.
He said he planned to rebuild the house “as soon as we can.”
“We’ll all stay here for the time being,” he said. “There’s a lot of damage and we won’t be able to stick it back together again right away.”
Virgin said the cause of the fire was still being investigated but lightning was the likely culprit.

Let’s hear it for natural beauty!
Kate Winslet has spoken out about embracing her curvy figure and is now taking a stance on ageism in Hollywood and the pressure actresses have to go under the knife.
Winslet, 35, spoke with London’s The Telegraph stating the she and fellow British Oscar-winners Emma Thompson and Rachel Weisz have formed the “British Anti-Cosmetic Surgery League.”
“I will never give in,” she said. “It goes against my morals, the way that my parents brought me up and what I consider to be natural beauty.”
While the women’s resolve not to go under the knife is real, their league might be more of a way to speak out against ageism than an active organization.
“I am an actress, I don’t want to freeze the expression of my face,” Winslet said.
Thompson, 52, agreed. “I’m not fiddling about with myself,” she exclaimed. “We’re in this awful youth-driven thing now where everybody needs to look 30 at 60.”
Newly-married Weisz, 41, said that people “who look too perfect don’t look sexy or particularly beautiful.”
Yeah! I am so glad a that these ladies are taking a stand on this subject. I am tired of seeing actresses who are too skinny, with pumped up lips, and faces that don’t move.

Following in Angelina Jolie’s footsteps, Kate Winslet is the new face of St. Johns. Kate love’s St. John’s because it’s clothes made for real women – with “real” body shapes.
“With St. John You can look extremely chic without trying too hard. You don’t feel as though they are clothes that only a model would be able to wear. And obviously I am not a model, I don’t have a model’s body, I have a real shape. And that just means a lot to me to be able to wear clothes that do embody that message of strength and power and femininity in a real shape….. I’m very much inspired by mothers, women who can pull it all together, do it all. Those are the women who are setting examples to a future generation of young women and that’s what I’m trying to do for my daughter.”
