Kate Walsh raised temperatures on late night TV on Tuesday when she chose to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live! wearing nothing but a white bathtowel and high heels.
The actress told Kimmel she didn’t like the fit of her designer gown, and so chose to wear linen instead.
Thrilled host Kimmel asked, “Is today my birthday or something?”
The Private Practice star, who wore the towel during her entire interview on the show, said, “I was supposed to wear a fancy, sparkly sequined dress… It was very hot and I was ready to rock it out. The tailor had taken it in… and I looked like a Vegas stripper. For me, it was not right… I wanted to keep it pure and clean… I’m bringing back the towel.”
Walsh showed off the green gown, adding, “Someday I’ll wear it.”

The redhead is back at Seattle Grace! ABC has confirmed that Kate Walsh, whose freshman show Private Practice is on hiatus until fall, will return to Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Addison Montgomery for one episode this spring.
Executive Producer Shonda Rhimes is still fleshing out the script, so there’s no word yet on when Walsh’s episode will air. ABC will air five originals of Grey’s beginning April 24.
The last time Addison was seen walking the hallways of Seattle Grace was in the series debut of Practice, which is this season’s second most-watched new drama (10.76 million).
In the Practice pilot, Addison said goodbye to Seattle Grace to start a new life and career at the Oceanside Wellness Center in Southern California.

Private Practice star Kate Walsh knew her husband Alex Young was the man for her when her pet dog gave him her seal of approval. Animal-loving Walsh was touched by how quickly Young bonded with her dog Lucy when they first met.
She recalls, “He met Lucy, and she immediately loved him, that’s one of the tests when you meet a guy. He was like Dr. Dolittle. He was on the couch with her, and she was on him. He loves dogs as much as I do. When I’m out of town he’s usually spooning (in bed) with Lucy.”
