kate-moss-playboy3

Here it is! At long, last, Kate Moss’s Playboy cover has finally been released. It’s amazing, no? I love it! I think it’s not cheesy and is totally classy! Not only is it Playboy’s 60th Anniversary issue, it’s also Kate’s 40th birthday celebration. Here are some highlights from Kate’s issue.

On privacy: “I don’t want to hang my dirty laundry out for Hello! and for people to know all the ins and outs of my life… I don’t get why it would be interesting. I’m not that different. And also, now with Instagram and everything, everyone’s so on their phones that even when I’m in a restaurant like this, where you wouldn’t expect it, someone will come up and ask to get a picture with me. I’m like, ‘No!’”

Her signature cocktail: “Well, I have a friend at the Hemingway Bar at the Hotel Ritz in Paris, an English guy called Colin. I’ve been staying at the hotel since I was 17, and I’ve spent a lot of time in the Hemingway Bar. So my drink is the French 76, which is vodka, lemon juice, and sugar topped up with champagne. Love! Two of those and you’re like, ‘Oh, life is amazing!’ It’s heaven.”

On if she ever envisioned another life for herself: “No. I was, like, a child when I started. I was 14. If it hadn’t happened, I don’t know what would have happened to me. I would be in Croyden [the neighborhood south of London where she grew up], working in a bar, probably. I wanted to be at the center of things. I love working with creative people, and there was none of that where I came from. As soon as I was given a chance I took it.”

Okay – I want the “French 76″ now! That sounds delicious!

Today we’re getting our first look at Kate Moss in Playboy’s big 60th Anniversary issue! Kate makes her Playboy debut wearing a bunny tail!

Kate will celebrate her 40th birthday in January, and decided to honor the big 4-0, she’d take it all off for Playboy. The issue will hit be released in January. Subscribers of Playboy get a first look at Kate’s pictorial in December’s issue.

The shoot was meant to be top secret, but in June it was reported that Kate’s hairstylist Oribe Canales had accidentally revealed she had already posed for fashion photographers Marcus Pigott and Mert Atlas, who have taken portraits of stars ranging from Lady Gaga to Jennifer Lopez and Madonna.

Kate’s shoot is bound to be ever so fashionable as W magazine’s Alex White has styled the pictures – and she even noted the date when the shoot was done in London on March 16 by tweeting a picture of non other than the Playboy bunny.

Playboy’s editorial director, Jimmy Jellinek, told the Los Angeles Times that Kate was the perfect poster girl for the magazine.

He said: ‘This is a massive global brand. You need a global icon in order to celebrate that — that was the impetus. You’re talking about the face of Burberry, the biggest supermodel in the world on the cover of Playboy. She’s the perfect partner for us to help launch the next 60 years.’

‘This creates a heat for the brand globally. It started with Marilyn Monroe on the cover of Playboy 60 years ago, an icon for her time. Now we’ve got Kate Moss!’

While Playboy founder Hugh Hefner added: ‘She’s a worldwide celebrity and iconic and crosses the boundaries from sexual imagery to upscale modelling. It’s a natural for us.’

Hard to believe she’s turning 40! Who’s excited to see the rest of the pictures?

Playboy is turning 60 and in celebration of the milestone, they’ve tapped Kate Moss for their cover editorial.

Hugh Hefner’s son Cooper tweeted, “Kate Moss will be gracing the cover of our 60th anniversary issue this January. It’ll be a great issue.”

Moss, of course, is no stranger to shucking her skivvies for the camera. But the choice is noteworthy for a title typically associated with curvier women, from Marilyn Monroe to Pamela Anderson.

Hef doesn’t see any discrepancy. Moss is “a worldwide celebrity and iconic and crosses the boundaries from sexual imagery to upscale modeling,” Hefner told the Los Angeles Times. “It’s a natural for us.”

Indeed, Moss won’t just be posing in her birthday suit. She’ll parade signature Playmate paraphernalia, from bunny ears to silk stockings, reports the Times.

Playboy “is a massive global brand,” editorial director Jimmy Jellinek told the newspaper. “You need a global icon in order to celebrate that — that was the impetus. You’re talking about the face of Burberry, the biggest supermodel in the world on the cover of Playboy. She’s the perfect partner for us to help launch the next 60 years.”

Who helped launch the first 60? Monroe, of course.

I think Kate is the perfect choice! Can’t wait to see the pics (is that creepy?)!

Kate Moss talks Johnny Depp in the new Allure Magazine, reveals the best piece of advice he ever gave her.

Kate Moss lands this month’s Allure Magazine, looking hotter than ever. Seriously, does the woman age? She’s gorgeous! In the interview, Kate opens up about plastic surgery, her weight, and the best piece of advice she ever got from ex-boyfriend, Johnny Depp.

The beautiful photos were shot by Mario Testino, in London. Here are some quotes from the interview:

Moss’s much-photographed face has inspired works of art, including a portrait by Lucian Freud, a solid-gold statue in her image, and two holograms. Asked why she thinks she is such a powerful inspiration for artists, she replies modestly, “I must be a bit of a blank canvas.” Pause. “Or something.” In fact, her skills at interpreting the fantasies of art directors and fashion editors make her as much in demand today as she was 20 years ago. “At a shoot, I’m really aware of everything,” she says. “When they do makeup, sometimes I can’t see what they’re doing, but I can feel it. I know what I look like, even when I can’t see what they’ve done. I know how to compose myself.”

These days, it takes more than fire and ferocious dogs at a photo shoot to unsettle Moss, but in her early days of modeling, she admits she had some insecurities. “I didn’t like my flat chest,” she says. “I was like, ‘Oh, I’m going to have a tit job.’ Can you imagine?” Posing nude was also a challenge, she says. “I used to be so scared about ‘Oh, I don’t want to show my body.’ Now that I’ve shown it, it doesn’t bug me about my moles, or ‘This isn’t big enough’ and ‘That’s not smooth enough.’” Today, very little seems off-limits for the free-spirited Moss—including the intimate details of her self-tanning habits. “I don’t mind a bikini bottom. My husband likes lines on the bum—men like white bums, like a frame,” she says. “Like a bull’s-eye?” someone at the shoot asks. “Exactly,” Moss replies. “I don’t do it on the boobs, though—I try not to have a white boob.”

The advice Johnny Depp gave her – and MUCH MORE – after the jump! (more…)
