Last night on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” comedian Kathy Griffin joined the late-night host to chat about her autobiography “Official Book Club Selection: A Memoir According to Kathy Griffin” (which she claims is going to “out-sell The Bible”) as well as share a clip of her newest role as “Jon & Kate Plus 8” mother Kate Gosselin.

“It’s like my ‘Malcolm X’,” joked Griffin.

Kate Gosselin is willing to go bikini bare for the paparazzi but won’t go all the way for Hugh Hefner.

The octomom is said to have received a $400,000 offer from Hef to take it all off for Playboy, but she doesn’t plan to reveal her lady bits in the nudie mag.

“Hugh sent her a letter, but Kate was totally mortified and threw it away!” a source told Star Magazine. “She didn’t think it was appropriate because of the children.”

Despite being “proud of the way she looks,” Kate was baffled by the offer.

However, more embarrassment has come her way as her estranged hubby Jon kicked off his two-part interview with Chris Cuomo on ABC’s “Good Morning America” today.

“I took a lot of abuse from her. I was put down,” Jon, 32, said. The Ed Hardy-clad dad also defended his loose living by pointing the finger at Kate.

“She’ll call me like, almost like a lame fish,” he claimed. “Like I wasn’t going anywhere. “Well, excuse me, I’m taking care of the kids. She’s on book tours, she’s doing all these things. You know, she’s gone a week. You know, comes back. Packs up and leaves again. I’m standing there like, ‘Oh, OK. Your Mom’s gone again.’”

Star also reports that Kate, 34, is busy getting revenge on Jon by draining him financially in the divorce.

“Kate is so upset and disgusted over Jon’s cavalier ’single guy’ behavior – and the money he has been wasting to fund it – that she’d leave him without a penny, barefoot and homeless on the street if she could,” said a snitch. “She’s prepared to do all she can to insure she gets most, if not all, of the millions that are at stake.”

In more of his interview with ABC News, Jon Gosselin continues to trash estranged wife Kate, claming she took his wedding ring and may have had an affair with her bodyguard.

Jon, 32, says their relationship has gotten so sour they have to film their hit TLC reality show separately.

“I can’t sit on the sofa with that woman,” he says in the interview, which was posted online Tuesday. “I can’t sit on someone right now that I despise.”

He accuses Kate, 34, of “feeding into the frenzy” by appearing on magazine covers bashing him. In a recent People interview, she joked that Jon must have been abducted by aliens when asked to explain how he transformed from a computer technician into a club-hopping jet-setter.

“I despise [her] because she’s not speaking from the heart,” Jon tells ABC News’ Chris Cuomo. “Please — the stuff you tell me in private should be the stuff you tell me on TV.”

(In a statement to ABC News, Kate says: “While I certainly have a very different perception of how our marriage dissolved, for the sake of my children I maintain that I’m not going to go into details of aspects I believe should remain private.”)

Jon also slams Kate for claiming she still wears her wedding ring because she doesn’t want to “upset” their eight children.

Says Jon, “I think she still wears the ring for public perception. I don’t wear my ring because she took my ring. I don’t have it.

“I don’t have the ring,” he continues. “I laid it down one night. It was gone. Who else would take it? I checked all the — underneath my kids’ pillows. That’s where everything ends up in the house anyway. So it wasn’t there.”

Jon goes on to say he speculated Kate had an affair with bodyguard. (Us Weekly first reported that Jon had his suspicions about the two; Kate has denied an affair.)

“I speculate, but I don’t know — that’s a general feel. You know, almost like when they were traveling together, I felt jealous,” he said. “Here, I’m Mr. Mom. And then there’s some other guy traveling with my wife. Whether it’s protection or not, it’s all in — it’s in the back of my mind.”

Jon says he is now happy with girlfriend Hailey Glassman, the 22-year-old daughter of the surgeon who performed Kate’s 2006 tummy tuck. He denies rumors that he left “Kate for Hailey.”

Jon says Hailey is “the polar opposite of Kate.”

“I get encouragement from her, I get respect from her. Two things that a man needs,” he says. “This is someone, I mean, like soul mate — like people joke about that. But I’m not joking about that.”

Asked if he loves Kate, Jon says, “I will always love Kate as the mother of my kids. But to tell you right now, at this point of what’s going on, I do not love Kate.”

How great will THIS be for their ratings?! Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Kate Gosselin will stand in for Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who will still be out on maternity leave when The View returns from re-runs in September. Kate is scheduled to be on the show on September 14th and 15th.  The View has also lined up several other guest hosts, including Meghan McCain (Sept. 9th and 10th), LaToya Jackson (Sept. 16th and 18th), and E.D. Hill (Sept. 23rd and 24th).

The custody battle is on: Kate Gosselin will use footage from Jon & Kate Plus 8 to prove she should get full custody of the children she shares with soon-to-be ex Jon, 32. A source says Kate, 34, planned to split custody 50/50, but she reconsidered when her kids called while an unapproved babysitter, Stephanie Santoro, was on duty on Aug. 13.

“She doesn’t feel comfortable allowing Jon to have custody when she can’t trust him to keep them safe,” the insider says. The source says the two oldest girls, Cara and Mady, both 8, may choose which parent’s house they call home. The insider says, “When Jon starts acting like an adult, she’ll reconsider.”

Perhaps that explains why the ladies’ man — scared into staying in now that he could lose custody — canceled his plans to party at Shrine at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods in Connecticut on Aug. 22.

Kate Gosselin and Nadya Suleman have a lot in common. After having multiple children — eight for Kate and 14 for Nadya — they both have been thrust into the limelight, and they both face raising their brood of kids as single moms. But instead of bonding, the Octomom and the star of Jon & Kate Plus 8 are brawling. On August 19, during her two-hour documentary, Octomom: The Incredible Unseen Footage, Nadya ripped on Kate, calling her desperate for fame and saying her show is fake. “It’s so staged,” Nadya said while flipping through magazine pictures of Kate. “She’s doing it to get people to take pictures of her. I’m not as attention-seeking.” Nadya, who once ripped up photos of Kate in a bikini, also criticized Kate’s post-baby body, which was assisted by a televised tummy tuck estimated to cost $8,000, and insisted she’s the hotter mom. “I feel like it’s cheating,” Nadya sniffed. “I have a better shape, though. I’m sorry, no offense to her.”

Offense taken. According to an insider on Jon & Kate Plus 8, Kate is livid that Nadya insulted her on the special and believes that the Octomom is just out for revenge. “Nadya originally reached out to Kate and asked her to make a guest appearance on the documentary,” the insider reveals. “Kate didn’t turn down the offer, she just never responded, and that probably made Nadya upset.” Kate also believes that Nadya will continue to diss her on her upcoming reality show because she knows it makes headlines. “If Kate won’t appear on-camera, Nadya will just talk about her,” the insider explains. “Nadya is cunning and has more tricks up her sleeve. She’s going to go after both Kate and her estranged husband, Jon.”
