UNDERWATER. No joke.

Kat Von D unsurprisingly is planning an nontraditional wedding to Canadian DJ Joel Zimmerman, aka “Deadmau5.”

The couple is planning an “underwater-themed” wedding on August 10, in front of about 200 family and friends, according to People. Kat Von D promises the ceremony will be “the furthest thing” from ordinary.

Although there WILL be mermaids at the event, Kat has chosen a wedding gown designed by Falguni and Shane Peacock.

“It will have a sleek silhouette and include hints of iridescent teals, blues and deep violet ombré gradients,” she told the magazine. CONTINUE READING – AND MORE PICS! (more…)

Kat Von D is officially erasing Jesse James from her life.

The tattoo artist began the process of removing the huge tattoo of Jesse James’ 5th grade portrait.

Kat shared the beginning stages of getting de-douched on Twitter Friday by writing, “On a lighter note, I get to start the day off with some good ol’ tattoo laser removal! #ouchville #sillytattoos #creatingjobs”

She went on to add, “You get to wear the most stylish pair of special-laser-shades when you go to @DrTattOffInc #tattooremo.” Kat then posted the photo  showing Jesse James getting lasered in the eye (looks gross)! She said, “AND SO IT BEGINS! First round of tattoo removal well underway! #freshstart”

Maybe getting tattoos of boyfriends isn’t such a good idea. Huh Kat?

Kat Von D is an engaged woman, after her on-again boyfriend Deadmau5 proposed to her – over TWITTER.

Let’s back up a bit. Kat and Deadmau5 broke up only about a month ago, after a very public fight over Twitter. Apparently the DJ cheated on her. They reconciled only a couple days later, and all things were back to happy. Not only are they back together, but they’re also engaged, after Deadmau5 proposed via Twitter.

The 30-year-old tattoo singer was proposed to on Twitter Saturday, Dec. 15 by on-again-off-again boyfriend Deadmau5 (real name: Joel Zimmerman).

“I can’t wait for Christmas so…. Katherine Von Drachenberg, will you marry me?” the deejay, 31, tweeted. He also attached a photo of the engagement ring, and explained in writing on the image, “Changing the diamond to a black diamond FYI. Sorry for the jpg . . . they’ll finish the actual ring soon I hope. I love u.” The ringfeatures two tiny skulls on either side of the diamond.

The L.A. Ink star accepted Deadmau5′s proposal, tweeting, “Mi corazon! Thank you all for the lovely congratulations! Please excuse me while I go squeeze the hell out of my fiance!”

Her fiancee, replied, “Holy f–king s–t. I’m engaged and stuff! Thanks for the well wishes and support from the horde and everyone else! Brb while i spend the rest of my evening with my future wife.”

Kat Von D began dating the Canadian deejay in mid-September. In November, she announced on Twitter they had broken up. “Man, I sure was wrong. But at least he made it a no-brainer to break that off. Lesson Learned,” she wrote. “Clarification: Deadmau5 and I are no longer together.” But the two managed to work things out and reconciled shortly after.

The tattoo artist was previously engaged to Sandra Bullock’s ex-husband Jesse James. The two split in July 2011, and Kat Von D is now in getting a tattoo of him removed.

This is just all-around bizarre to me. First of all, he proposes via Twitter? Second of all, he takes a picture of the unfinished ring and promises to have the diamond replaced with a black diamond? Isn’t this just so strange? Who thinks this isn’t going to end well…. who’s with me.

Remember that time where Kat Von D told the media she would never, ever remove her tattoo of her ex-fiance, Jesse James? Well…looks like never ever turned into NOW!

Today, the tattoo artist posted on twitter:

Go HERE to check out photos of the laser burning a hole into Kat’s skin (ugh!). The tattoo in question- a young photo of Jesse James- is depicted with the lazer going directly into the figure’s eye….ew!  And, brutal, don’t you think?

Maybe if things get serious with Kat’s new beau, DJ Deadmau5, she won’t be so quick to have his face (young or old) etched into her body.  We all know Miss Von D loves her tats, but getting them removed seems painful… and expensive!

Well that was quick! Last week Kat Von D and Deadmau5 broke up. Kat tweeted, “Man, can’t say I didn’t give it my best … I sure was wrong. But at least he made it a no-brainer to break that off … Now, we can get all off the ‘I told you so’s outta the way and move on. Clarification: Deadmau5 and I are no longer together.”

Someone’s had a change of heart! The couple were spotted together yesterday, very much back together. They were getting kissy inside an AT&T store in West Hollywood.

I checked Kat’s Twitter page this morning, and found nothing about Deadmau5, except for one lonely ol’ tweet saying “For Love’s sake.”
