Donda West’s Surgeon, Dr. Jan Adams, Walks Off CNN’s Larry King Live

jan.jpg

Dr. Jan Adams, who performed plastic surgery on Donda West one day before she died, walked out of CNN’s Larry King Live in the middle of a live interview Tuesday night.

“Basically, I had come here to talk about things in the press that are not accurate about me,” Adams told King. “But I have a tremendous amount of love and respect for the West family, and they’ve asked me not to go on.”

“Will you ever answer questions?” King asks.

“When they are comfortable, then I will be comfortable,” the surgeon said. “If they are never comfortable, then I will never be comfortable.

“That’s what’s important to me, I said that from the start, and that’s what I will continue to honor,” Adams said before removing his microphone, shaking King’s hand and walking off stage.

Adams anti-publicity stance is in stark contrast from a lengthy interview he gave yesterday to the L.A. Times.

The surgeon attributed West’s November 10 death to a heart attack, pulmonary embolism or accidental overdose of the painkiller, Vicodin — and said “nothing went wrong” when he performed a breast reduction, tummy tuck and liposuction on the 58-year-old.

“When she left this office, there was no problem whatsoever,” Adams told the Times.

Kanye West breaks down onstage.

160206_kanye_west_02_450×300.jpg

Only a week after his mother’s death, Kanye West returned to the concert stage Saturday night in Paris, only to dramatically break down in tears, audience members tell PEOPLE.

Nearing the end of the more than 60-minute performance, with the riff of “Hey Mama” beginning, West attempted to introduce the tribute to a sold-out crowd at Le Zénith in Paris, saying “this song is for my mother….” and could get no further.

“He just cracked,” one attendee tells PEOPLE, “He was at the end of his concert and had just started to dedicate the song and then he just lost it completely.”

“He said the word, ‘Mother’ and just couldn’t go any further,” Le Parisien journalist Meddy Magloire said. “A back-up singer, the DJ and a guitar player came over to console him. It looked like he might collapse. He just couldn’t continue. He just stood there in a spotlight, crying while the band continued playing.”

After a few moments of stunned silence, Magloire says, the audience of 5,000 reacted by offering calls of encouragement, which grew into applause.

The band restarted the song, but West left the stage, returning after 10-15 minutes to conclude the concert with a rousing performance of “Stronger.”

“He was very nervous, seemed to have gathered himself up, and had a lot of energy,” Magloire says. “He kept shouting out to the audience, ‘I need you… I need you right now.’ and the public was screaming back. It was magic.”

Kanye West’s reps issue statement from the rapper

kanye_west.jpg

The West family has issued a statement asking fans to donate money to the Kanye West Foundation, a non-profit organization which aims to improve literacy and reduce school drop out rates in the U.S., instead of sending flowers to offer their condolences.

The statement reads, “Kanye West, his family and friends would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and kind words that have come in from across the country since the death of his mother, Dr. Donda West.

“After working in higher education for 31 years, Dr. Donda West and Kanye West co-founded the Kanye West Foundation with the mission of helping to combat the severe dropout problem in high schools across the country.

“In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dr. West’s name to the Kanye West Foundation/Loop Dreams Teacher Training Institute.”

It’s gonna get really ugly…

kanye_blog_8.jpg

The Beverly Hills surgeon who performed a breast reduction and tummy tuck on Kanye West’s mother Donda before she died has had two medical malpractice judgments against him for about $200,000 each, according to California Medical Board records obtained by Usmagazine.com.

Jan Adams confirmed to TMZ.com on Monday that he performed the operations on Donda West – who passed away Saturday at age 58 following complications from surgery — after consulting with her for four months.

He said her death was unforeseen and could have been caused by other medical problems.

But in June, Us reports in its upcoming issue, West had met several times with Beverly Hills surgeon Andre Aboolian.

His rep told the Associated Press that Aboolian had declined to operate on West because of a pre-existing condition that could have caused a heart attack during surgery.

He advised West to get a clearance from a second internist.

His publicist, Jo-Ann Geffen, told the AP Aboolian never heard back from the rapper’s manager mom.

An autopsy is scheduled for this week, possibly as early as Tuesday or Wednesday, Lieutenant Fred Corral from the Los Angeles County Department of the Coroner told Usmagazine.com.

UPDATE: The Medical Board of California filed legal papers last April asking to revoke or suspend Adams’ medical license because of two DUI convictions in 2006 and 2003, TMZ.com reports.

Kanye West’s Mother Dies

kanye_blog_6.jpg

Donda West, mother of Kanye West, died Saturday, a spokesman for the rapper tells Usmagazine.com.

She was 58.

A rep tells BBC News that she passed away in L.A. from “complications from a cosmetic surgical procedure.”

No more details were given.

“The family respectfully asks for privacy during this time of grief,” a rep tells Us.

Donda — a former chairwoman of Chicago State University’s English department who raised the rapper, 30, by herself since he was 3 — was the inspiration for his track “Hey Mama” on his 2005 album Late Registration.

He wrote: “Hey Mama, I wanna scream so loud for you, cuz I’m so proud of you … I appreciate what you allowed for me. I just want you to be proud of me.”

Don’t worry Kanye, the thought never entered my mind.

Kanye West Pink

Kanye West has revealed that he worries people might think he’s gay because of his sensitive streak.

The rap star – who’s engaged to Alexis Phifer – frets about the image he projects.

‘I’ve always had an issue with masculinity,’ he admits.

‘I’m like, “I hope this person isn’t looking at me like I’m a fag.”’

But now Kanye says he’s accepted who he is – and even thinks his short comings have helped him get where he is today.

‘What if your drawbacks ended up being your superpower? I do have feminine ways,’ he tells GQ magazine. ‘Now I’m 30 I’ve accepted that. I’ve realised everything I’m not made me everything I am.’
